Species: Giant Girdled Lizard x West African Giraffe
Appearance: This creature is a strange beast of untold legend. Just under six feet tall at the withers, it overall looks slightly draconic: long-bodied and covered in thick spines. Short, sleek fur covers the entirety of the body, the spines included; a tuft of hair swings from the end of the medium-long, muscled tail. Its face is a mixture of its parents, but leaning more toward the lizard side, with strong jaws and reptilian nostrils. A tiny set of ears is perched in among the spines jutting back from its face and head. Its gemstone--a rough, pointed chunk of onyx--sticks up from the tip of its nose. The tongue, long and blue-black, is almost prehensile; and the teeth (and diet) are strictly herbivorous. Steep shoulders lead into broad, squat forelimbs which end in cloven hooves. Reptilian haunches lead into a giraffe's hocks, which then settle into clawed hind feet. Lastly, the eyes are somewhere between both parents: slender, slanted, and granted long, thick eyelashes. At full weight, this creature will hit about twelve hundred pounds.
