Aetius found a large sized hole to make her nest high in the wood of the home tree. It took a lot of work and crafting, but she finally made her nest high in the home tree. The young owl looked around and marveled at the work she had done. Everything in her nest was made to her liking. She had used vines and plant life to make Celtic knots like the gem on her chest, and made other things to decorate her nest. Once everything was to her liking, she took a proud gaze. Aetius took a firm nod then walked to the entrance of her nest. She spread her wings, and flew to the hollow hoping Rift would be there. Fortunately he was! She flew above him and called out from above. "Hey Rift! I can finally fly! I made my nest high in the wood of The Home Tree, so I hope that was alright!" The white snowy owl landed near Rift as he tended to the plants, careful not to step on anything.
Though she knew she needed to conquer her nervousness. Owls were meant to be in the air. The owl walked over to the ledge her talons careful with each step. The young snowy owl looked over for a quick second, then took a leap of faith. She spread her wings, and though it may not have been graceful, the young bird took flight for the first time.

Asimona paced the cold, snowy nest, tail whipping and her wings occasionally giving a nervous twitch. Wyvern had been gone for too long. It had been over a day now. She had just went hunting, right? Although Asimona had offered to do the hunting for her, she had insisted on doing it herself this time. She didn't really understand why she had insisted so much, but there wasn't any harm in letting her go, or so she thought. She was growing worried now. Worried that she would be gone like Jotun was gone. Like Abeni was gone for long periods of time. She had one child left that stayed with her and she was drifting apart as well.

Eventually she stopped her pacing, standing as still as a statue for a moment before turning and flopping down in her own nest, rolling around the gems of her hoard. She didn't have much of a hoard, just a small pile of gems and coral and interesting rocks she had found. Of course, the most important in her collection were the ones she had found when she had created her children. She nudged them around, thinking and musing and wondering if she would ever see them again...her children...her family...all of them.

A sudden thought popped into her head. She could see them again. Perhaps she could even control them. Not her children, no, them. She heard them sometimes but she had grown good at ignoring them. But still...she felt like she wanted some kind of closure or something further to cope with it all.

She stood slowly and focused on one area. She'd start off easy. The light where she was looking began to shift. An image began to form, small, brown, lithe, until it was a hazy but unmistakable image of Sister.
Oh, that was by far one of the longest flights she had ever done.
Her wings ached, the muscles straining. The crucible was feeling heavier and heavier, but she was determined to bring it back. If she were physically capable, she would have cried at the sight of the alcove that she had made her own, and she tilted her wings to land.

It was clumsy, more of a controlled fall than anything, but she was finally able to drop the cup, allowing it to roll towards the furnace that she had repaired. It had been hard to make, but she was very proud of it. It wasn't beautiful, or elegant, but it worked, and that was enough. This nook had been chosen because it had enough of a hole in the top to funnel out the smoke produced by the furnace.

Ruffling her feathers, she began to doze, intending on sleeping before flying out again.
So there were two reasons for her to feel cocky at the moment. Paired with the fact that she could wield electricity, Zothra felt she could walk in fire. Zothra was feeling brave at the moment, and the sheer power radiating from the spire could be felt towards the cub. Though Zothra was debating whether or not to touch the spire with her paw or not. Should she? Well, she could try and see what would happen if she used her electricity magic on it. Despite how big she felt, the spire looked very intimidating. If only there was a wise figure that could deter her from touching it. Zothra honestly had no clue on how powerful the spire truly was. She was just a cub who was two cycles old.
As gently as she could, the she-wolf set down the Jet, the Bloodstone, and the Chalcedony on a flat rock, not wanting to lose them. Her nose was good, and her eyes weren't too bad, but even she could easily lose Gemstones in such a massive Tunnel.

This Tunnel was nothing compared to Tunnel N but, she knew, she couldn't return. None of them could--their home had been compromised, was little more than a Tunnel, again. She was on the hunt for another home, and it looked like this would be it.

Really, she would rather have had a Cave but, well, she had lived in a Tunnel her whole life. She didn't know otherwise, but Mother must have had a reason, didn't she? So it was a Tunnel she looked for, and it was a Tunnel she found.

It was damp, and didn't seem too often traveled. The scents in the air, kept fresh with moisture, belonged to Lessers, and she could only find Lessers prints. This place seemed like it would be the perfect home for her wayward family.

She approached the wall of the cave, finding a soft spot in the dirt and beginning to dig. There needed to be a nook for her to put the gemstone, where it could be safely hidden as it nourished the life inside. Her paws moved rapidly, fighting to ignore the pain in her leg, and dirt flew behind her.

It had been many cycles since Reseda's dramatic leave from the Sinful Seven. Orion was no longer her home and she doubted that it would even be safe for her anymore so she had taken to her old place in the Chambers where she had flown into a terrible rage. There were broken bones and rocks thrown everywhere, the corpses of Lesser Gembounds, half eaten, bones, or even straight up full carcasses tossed around and ripped apart with disregard. Her anger, a built up rage from cycles of feeling nothing, had consumed her for days. But now she sat among the debris, calm, collected, and cold once again.
But it had sparked her interest. This was something she was missing, apparently. The anger had not felt good but she knew that other things would feel better. She wanted that. She needed that. The destruction of The Sinful Seven could wait for now. First, she needed to learn.

Without so much of a warning, she stood up and shambled outside of her cave, emerging into the open air of Canis. It was an ironic moment of deja vu - as a child she had wandered from her cave and come across Astaroth, just as she was doing now. But Astaroth was gone and she did not care for him anymore. Also, rated Mature for gore, vomit, and self-harm. Uh oh.

<elyon>The weight of the bone club was foreboding, feeding a deep-seeded, dark urge to her mind. Such impulses were presently unconscious, unknown to the centaur. Aged, rusty chains creaked ominously as she shifted toward the rat-boulders; Elyon's father had shown her, in the past, that they were a common nesting ground for cave rats. She sighed deeply, ruff bristling. The Collector had said the weapon would grow with the blood of even Lessers. As long as it took in flesh and blood, it should be fine.

This was just like any other hunting expedition, Elyon reminded herself warily.

Gangly limbs carried her, casting her shadow over the stones. A number of small critters moved about just in front of her, panicked squeaks signifying their attempts to hide. They weren't successful. She crouched, then settled down onto her knees. Bowing, Elyon sighed again and steeled herself. Hoisting the club over her shoulder and steadying it with her right hand, she wedged a hand beneath one of the lighter stones. Burying her dense claws into the boulder, she heaved.

The moment her gaze caught the dull glint of a rat's, a surge of adrenaline coursed through her entire body. Her mind detached from her body, dissociating from the sudden, extreme stimulus. In a way, she seemed to have blacked out.

-[]-

A pleased sensation rolled up in her chest, spreading down to the two hands that now clutched the flail. Her fingers were tight about its narrower end, breath heavy. Bright eyes blinked once or twice as she laughed. Despite the sore weariness in her arms and whatever was slicked over her ruff and upper half, Elyon felt fantastic. Until she looked down, Elyon was completely unaware of why she felt so good. Perhaps, she had just gone for a really good run, pushed her limits, gone climbing up a great mound of bones---

Oh.

Oh, no.

A mess of gore, barely recognizable as a mischief of cave rats, lay where the stones had once. Bones, cracked and twisted beyond belief jutted out from all of the sanguine waste. Elyon's breath hitched, then wavered. She couldn't breathe. A pleased sensation seemed to thrum from her hands, stemming from the club in its grip. The centaur glanced to and fro, then staggered to her feet. No, this wasn't--- this wasn't right. She had just been hunting but this was--- this wasn't how you hunted. Even through the smile plaguing her face and the urge to do it all over again, the hybrid felt herself begin to sob. No tears came, but her throat swelled.

Buck-toothed remnants seemed to be attached to the flail's end, coated in viscera, even still.

She threw the club to the ground, scrubbing at her arms and her hands as if it would dissuade the foreign feeling of pleasure. Elyon picked at the joints of her fingers and her wrists until they bled, heaving. Rather ungracefully, she staggered backward. Nausea rolled through her being as the high wore off; she then vomited into the pile of disgusting and wrong. Sucking in big, ragged breaths, she steadied herself by the knees.

There she stood, for a time.

At last, though, she spared a wary, dull-eyed look at the flail.

Softly, almost imperceptibly, she groaned, "Co-- Collector?"</elyon>
Her ears twitched, and her tail stood high, as she waited for her next opponent to show their face.
