The Bloodberries are a player-run group of Gembound living in the small and cozy Tunnel N. They are an antagonistic and bloodthirsty family group, trained to fight and kill from an early age. Their love for conflict and battles have caused the death of many Gembounds and they seem only to live to cause fear and hatred to spread through the caves, for their own amusement.

Few know exactly why the Bloodberries function as they do, nor what their true purpose is. However, it seems that they only exist to spill blood and live as a powerful, close-knit family, doing and killing as they please. There are no rules within the group besides one - family is more important then anything. To somehow bring harm or danger to the family is punishable by any means the parents think is necessary.

There is no organization within the family group besides what seems to be a naturally occurring pyramid system. Their mother and leader, Blackberry, stands at the top and is respected and obeyed without question. Just below her is her mate and their father, Blueberry. The rest of the children are below them with more violent and aggressive children, such as Jayberry, rising above their siblings while others that are gentler, kinder, or less inclined to kill recklessly, such as Huckleberry, are generally considered to be lower.

The group consists completely of children raised by Blackberry and Blueberry who tend to roam the caves in search of newly hatched or awakened gembounds to add to the growing ranks of their family.

After a horrible maiming, the goose, Blackberry, emerges from a mutation, having gone completely insane, and promises to her mate, Blueberry, that she will have revenge on every resident of the caves. Some time later, after being wounded in a fight, the two share stone and life to create three children and promise to be the most fearsome family in the caves.

Since the hatching of the three children, the family has only grown. Blackberry roams the caves in search of more children to bring into the fold while the others train to fight and kill. Some of the original three are even creating children of their own, hatched from the gems of others they had slain. While there is strife between some of the children and their mother, they remain bloodthirsty and undeniably insane.

The children of the Bloodberries have access to the Electricity-type spell “Terror”, names after Blackberry's self-named title, “The Terror of the Caves”. Upon casting, a small shock is transferred from the user to the target, causing brief but extremely realistic visions of their worst fears. This spell can be used to paralyze their opponent or cause them to become flustered or temporarily defenseless. However, overuse of the spell can cause the user to suffer minor brain damage.
