Coilean finally regained his footing, having lost a lot of distance to the tornado already. But he'd never give up! There was still a chance he could get through. All he had to do was get to the finish line, at the end of the day.
This dastardly storm had other plans for the poor little pup, however. Again, he made it to about the spot he'd gotten last time... Only to be dragged and then flung backward again.
He'd make it. One day.
He felt a surprising shock of anger when only a handful of gembound made it past the twister, leaving Huntsman stuck in the middle of the pack. He was BETTER than this! He was BETTER than all of them! He survived the hydra trials, for cave's sake! And yet here he was, scrabbling among literal children while the breeze battered him around like a fallen leaf.
He could do better, because he WAS better.
....He wasn't. He made no progress forward- in fact he lost his footing and tumbled back a couple feet. This was ridiculous. This whole thing was ridiculous.
For several long, disorienting moments he was left at the mercy of the twister, just another piece of debris caught up in it's swirling winds. He could snatch glimpses of others stuck with him- although not made completely airborne by the wind as he was- and it was somewhat of a vague comfort to not be alone.
Still very VERY uncomfortable to be stuck in a tornado, though.
He'd stop his panicked flapping and instead spread his wings and attempt to steer his way to calmer currents. It wasn't easy, with the wind constantly whipping him around, and his general lack of knowing what he was doing, but he was FINALLY able to emerge on the other side of the twister, thoroughly ruffled.
One person did seem to be… is it cheering the train? The trains stands stock still as Chromite T-One tries to explain the point and purpose of this entire thing. No reaction is given, not even a change in hide, until a few moments pass after Chromite T-One finishes speaking. Then, suddenly, a part of the skin on the train that Chromite T-One can plainly see shifts like tiles all clicking into place.
A giant sigil, in a neon purple that almost glows against the lime green background, hovers just above Chromite's head. Still attached to the train, of course.
The train then... lies on its side. It shows Chromite something it has, up to this point, shown no one else. Its soft underbelly, laden with more soft, deep mauve tentacles than Chromite probably wanted to count given the urgency of this moment, that if Chromite really looked they would see avoided two puckered "sections" on the trains underside. Two hard ridges, just barely visible due to its difference in texture.
Chromite might have decided to move on already, but if they had decided to stay, they would see movement in these ridges. A subtle trembling or squirming at first, then something Chromite might not forget for a long time after.
The ridges parted. Two
holes opened up. All that Chromite could see inside was the fleshy interior of the train from an outside vantage point, and if Chromite looked closely, the plethora of
taste buds littering the hard ridges, or "lips" of these mouths.
Of all the potential questions Chromite could now ask, one most important one may shine through:
Dare they enter?
@Chromite T-One
Whether or not Chromite dared, the train will eventually rise to pick itself back up. Though it does not do so until it either feels and likely also tastes Chromite enter, or senses through some other means that Chromite is leaving in some manner (perhaps, even... running ahead).
Well, the train will try to right itself. But, given that it has never shown this side of itself to anyone at this point, making the motion to get back up proves unpracticed and difficult. If Chromite has opted to become a passenger, it may have to put up with some technical difficulties. Or break out of the train.
