Skrungler's jet stone comes from Audland's box of Lacerta stones and was given to the Chorus in this thread.
Child Name: TBD
Gender: TBD
Species: Honey Fungus x Buffalo
Appearance: It seems hybridization got a little confused when it was making this creature. Standing slightly shorter then its stone-giver, many aspects have been replaced and jumbled by its fungal life-giver, most notably its head, which has been replaced by four gigantic mushrooms, the largest of which houses its brain. While it retains four legs as a typical water buffalo does, a number of horribly formed auxiliary legs branch out from them at seemingly random points. These auxillary legs, while looking like their real ones, are devoid of blood and bone and will grow quickly and wither, falling right off within a few cycles. They may occasionally cause issues with movement.
The tail of this creature looks a bit like black hair, but is actually a tangled mass of mycelia. The creature is able to move them from the base as a regular tail, but the individual strands cannot be finely controlled. It can use this tail to gather nutrients from soil and plant-matter, but its a slow process and feeding may take hours. It is otherwise completely devoid of any fur or hair and is weirdly fleshy to the touch, like the cap of a mushroom. Proper fruiting bodies of honey fungus grow from its skin. It has no eyes or ears, but its caps are sensitive to vibrations and changes in air pressure that will help it navigate the world.
In the center of its chest is its gemstone, parting the gap between two of the mushroom head-growths, looking suspiciously like a heart peering out from the skin.
