Nothing he was trying was working! Xerxes was getting even angrier now, especially when the wolverine grabbed his leg and forced him off balance, landing hard on his left side. His shoulder ached, most certainly bruised. He tried to use this to his advantage however and snapped wildly at the front right area of the gembound. He'd take whatever he could get at this point, but he hoped to grab a whole leg and crunch down on it, though at this rate, he wouldn't be surprised if it ended up as a total failure. Since he was laying out on his side, he at least rolled his back half back onto his belly to protect it, but left his front half on his side in hopes of having a better chance at grabbing anything.

Raz let out a guttural yell as he felt teeth clamp onto his right front leg. Fuuuuck! He couldn’t tell if the bastard lion had broken it or not, but it was most certainly damaged. He had to admit, this Gembound was determined! Even if Raz won this fight, the lion had earned his respect. Because Raziel was crazy and that’s how things worked in his head. Everything had to be conquered, and if something conquered him, it earned his respect. And those teeth on his leg made him realize he respected his horned lion. Still, he had to see this fight through, right? RIGHT! So, with that, he swung wildly with his three free paws, hoping his Magic would turn on and make his paws super hot. If he could connect a white-hot paw to Xerxes’ face, the lion might just let go!

He had a hold of the leg! Xerxes was proud of himself, but now he couldnt let go. The heathen smacked him then, and although it didnt hurt that bad, there was a slight sting and the smell of singed hair. Xerxes hardly noticed though as he was too distracted with keeping a hold of this leg for now. He decided that with having the wolverines leg, he should be close enough to not miss anotjer headbutt... Right? So letting go of his leg, xerxes propelled himself forward with his hindlegs and tucked his chin to hopefully headbutt this giy in the chest and send him flying!

Raz saw the second head-butt coming from a mile away — again. Boy, this lion did not know how to head-butt, apparently. The wolverine rolled away the second his opponent let go of his leg, thereby completely dodging the incoming horns. From his new position about two feet away, he deliberated over whether or not to continue this assault. His screaming muscles and injuries helped him decide in the end that he was done. “Truce!” he called out hoarsely. “I mean, unless you wanna kill me. I’m fine with that. I was kind of a dick and randomly attacked you. But I’m down now. No more fighting. All right?”

Xerxes stopped when the other called out, panting from his many attempts being failures. wait. Why would i want t o kill you? You just were mean... But that doesnt mean ill kill you! Yeah.. No mre fighting. he sighed, plopping hia rump down without even considering that he might be playing him. I truth, that was Xerxes first fight and never has the boy killed anything. The thought concerned him and the corners of his mouth pulled down. He didnt know what to do or say now, but he really wanted to find Cure.

Raz listened to the lion who had outmatched him (though not really ‘cause it had been a tie). So the boy was still weak. Raz was down and the boy refused to finish the deed. Hmph. So be it. “I have better things to do,” the wolverine growled, not caring to stick around any longer. The lion seemed to be a sniveler, and Raz hated snivelers. They were weak — useless. He stood on shaky legs, hissing in pain as his body protested, and slunk away down the tunnel at a snail’s pace, never giving the lion who’d almost defeated him a second glance.
