His sister had fallen and was screaming and he could hear it but he couldn't see her, and blind panic gripped him. His foot found her on accident, and fire licked at him and he cried out in reaction. The fire had her leg and it was eating away at her, and he just looked around uselessly as if that would help. There was no water anywhere nearby, but there was fresh dirt on the ground, and he kicked the dirt onto the flames, hoping to suffocate the flames, but it wasn't enough and she was still screaming and crying and his heart was hurting. His eyes pricked at his sister being in pain, and he was panicking because he couldn't do anything, but when he looked up, he saw the monster bringing up a charge to send at them, and Nettle's eyes widened.

When the wave came, he was prepared, and his hoof flashed in the dark. Any and all static shock he absorbed into himself, and when it hit his sister and she screamed, he took the electricity from her as fast as she could so she wouldn't hurt anymore.

He snarled now, raging at the top of his lungs, "MONSTER! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!"

Belladonna was scowling now. Vicktor wasn't dying like he was supposed to, and it boiled in her. She needed to do something to tip the scales in the children's favor, and the only alternative she had was joining the fight herself. She did not want to do that.

Then she saw Vicktor readying that charge that set her insides on fire and she swallowed a gasp of air, a prickle of fear running through her. She looked around, her teeth bared, needing something nearby to hide behind. But she was in the shadows she created, and it took too much time to wave them away to see something to hide behind. She saw a pillar, but before she could run to it, the wave hit her, and she collapsed, screaming in pain, her vision going red, her muscles twitching and spasming in that familiar way, and pure rage blinded her, the need for that hateful, spiteful brat to die strangling her as she lost the ability to breathe for just a second as her heart skipped a beat.

I will MURDER you in the worst possible way so many times over, you bastard, her lips curled as she thought this in her head, her head lowering as the shocks rolled over her.

She screamed until there was nothing else to register other than her frantic noise. Sweet music to his ear; a wicked smiled thrown across his maw as he simply listened. Fire billowing out with each heavy breath; waiting on edge for the rhino's lungs to simply burst from exhaustion! But it never came; only bitter crying of the aftermath. Were his flames extinguished? Had the little brat controlled them just enough!?

How. Dare. She.

Ears laid flat he only spat out out that all familiar white-hot substance. He would make them scream until their body's gave way. Till their very lungs collapsed! Taking a step into the swallowing darkness Vicktor came to an abrupt halt. Listening to the outraged rhino's words. "MONSTER! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!"

A chuckle escaped his throat. The little boy's screams only made him aggrandize. So, they actually saw him as a monster? Good. Lips curling to a snarl once more he focused on their screaming; lunging himself into the darkness. He couldn't see them; but damn if that didn't mean he couldn't hear them. He would devour the thick flesh of these blessed rhinos. After all; they did interrupt his meal. It was the least they could do. They would not easily forget the monster they met...then again; would anyone? He would leave bitter, bile dripping words in their mouth. He would make her pay. Opening his mouth allowing the flames to lick his lips he screamed out. The rhino would think these words were for him...and in a way they were...but the real reason was lurking within the shadows like a coward. She would suffer...he would use these words against her, every single time.

She was seething her breath through gritted teeth, she couldn't see anything, she was terrified out of her mind, the pain was everywhere, biting into her, swallowing her up, and she was wheezing and crying and sobbing and panting and she couldn't stop shaking and all she wanted was to be home and safe, but for this monster that was coming towards them to kill them both.

She wanted to run but she couldn't, not with her leg, and she wanted to be far away from this, but through the fear cut the thought like a sword in the thicket; if they didn't kill the monster, who would? Who would keep the caves safe, who would save Papa who was growing more and more hurt and tired with every passing day?

So the jaguar came into the dark towards the both of them, and she summoned her flames, keeping a mental note of where he would be once he disappeared from view, and she made sure that her brother would be out of the way, his foot next to her flank.

He saw the jaguar leap right towards him, and he saw his life flash before his eyes. He didn't want to die, he didn't want this to end here, with his guts ripped open violently, his life led to a torn and messy and brutal death here under the stars. He didn't want to die here! He deserved better than to die an adventitious death here, coming across a wandering monster with a penchant for blood and flesh and screams.

So when the monster leapt, he curled up in a ball, prepared for the worst, and he felt his sister's blast of heat right past his shoulder, and then in the next half-second he felt the monster's teeth digging into his flesh and he screamed as loudly as he could, and he thrashed violently, kicking and screaming the whole way.

When he got the monster off of him, with all the force he could muster, he swung his powerful nose with his three sharp horns right into the monster's stomach, trying to throw him as far as he possibly could.

She was beyond anger, she was beyond fury, when that passed his lips, she wanted him dead and burned to a cinder and his gem smashed under his hooves so he would never rise again. She saw red, the need for his blood sang in her veins, and she ran towards the fray with no regard for staying safe and hidden in the shadows.

Vicktor ran into the dark and the girl-child threw heat in his face and the boy-child was bitten into and started to thrash and knock him down, and when she got there, she parted the dark like a curtain to bring them all into blinding relief, the jaguar cub laying there on the ground, and she reared, her face so contorted with anger that it wasn't even recognizable as Clover's anymore.

She brought down her hooves onto his torso with all the rage inside her, all the force she could use with her running and rearing and weight, screaming with incoherent, blinding, bubbling, boiling hatred for the cub who hurt her and Clover.

Such bratty rhinos, he felt no mercy; not an ounce. Especially not after finally tasting that sweet sanguine that rushed through their veins. A smile twisting his features as dagger teeth sank deep into the brother's flesh. If it wasn't for the surprising black of hot air in his face he would have managed to hold on. Being taken by surprise would not be taken lightly by Vicktor. He loathed feeling weak, vulnerable, let alone all in the middle of a fight. It boiled into a fine concoction of poison and anger; pressure building up within his gut. Which sadly was their next area of attack. Before he could turn and evade the young rhino they had lifted his body up. Their sharp horns digging into his abdomen as he released a frenzied yowl.

He was simply tossed aside; off balance and fighting through the sharp pain he struggled. Managing to roll to one side only to look up and meet the poisonous gaze of her. Perhaps she loathed the use of her own poisonous word against her...good. The doe reared up; face contorted into something unrecognizable and disgusting that all Vicktor could do was prepare for the onslaught of pain. Like hammers her hooves came crashing down across his chest. Cracking his rips and breaking a few under such pressure. Sharp hooves like knifes splitting open sections of his flesh that laid across his torso. Through this onslaught of events he felt like the void. Empty, nothing and yet everything all the same.

A deep hum began to scrape across the inside of his skull, rattling around esoteric words. Vibrating through his bones and clattering around the broken tidbits he spat out laughter, accompanied by a deep buzzing hum that shook through the air for all to hear. The sound began to rise, growing higher and higher in pitch alongside his own haphazard laughter, gasping for air as he expelled it so greedily. At least until his own voice was drowned out from the unseen high pitch that could rattle around one's skull. Yellow sparking from his eyes and it danced across his pelt greedily, pelt rising with static that had been building within all this time. Till finally he unleashed this new electrical surge that he had called. Screaming outward wildly in hopes that this would be the end. They would all suffer, especially her.
