A shattering echoed within the fog covered area. It was soon followed by a loud thud as the shards of a dark sugallite shot out and away from where they had once formed a perfect Chrysalis. The creature that had fallen and tumbled into the lush foliage below snorted loudly several times as dark onyx eyes quickly looked around. Long pointed ears twisted and swiveled around, listening intently for anything that he could hear. Where am I... The words seemed to echo within his mind. Had it not been for the strange sensation of knowing who that voice belonged to he would have been scared. Only for a moment however. A thick black mane shook as the equine ringed his neck for a moment, pressing his nose against the.
A disgusted snort escaped Erebus. Not at all pleased by the surroundings he had awoken in. A black tail flicked to the side as if in another form to show his discontent. He had been so comfortable and warm where he had previously been. But now he lay upon what he assumed was a wet soggy ground and could barely see anything that wasn't super close to his being. With a deep breath the newborn gembound attempted to rise to his hooves. His legs wobbled a good few seconds before he was finally standing steadily. He took this moment to look around even more, his nostrils flaring out as his ears continued to move.
This place sucked. It smelled bad and he was definitely not fond of his now damp coat. A hoof stamped against the ground, making a squishing noise, but Erebus quickly ignored it as he began to move. Within a few steps the colt suddenly lost his balance and went tumbling down to the ground once again with his limbs all in a tangle. An annoyed whinny escaped the colt as he just as quickly jumped to his feet, bucking his back legs up in a display of anger. Nostril's flaring and chest heaving, Erebus stood there glaring at his own legs. "Work!" He practically shouted to his legs all the while he stomped his front hooves against the ground as if it were his way of punishing his legs for causing him to trip.
When he was satisfied that his legs were going to cooperate with him Erebus snorted and turned his attention to his surroundings once more. Eyes narrowed as he could just barely spot the massive shape of something standing much darker against the never changing mist. Interest quickly peaked for the colt and he started to head towards it. It was large whatever it was so Erebus wanted to know what it was. For a moment he walked closer and closer, his heart starting to drum almost harshly against his chest. His dark onyx eyes were beginning to widen as a strange excitement filled him. Wham! Erebus face planted into the ground again. His hoof having slipped on a particularly slippery patch of moss and mud. An angry and very loud squeal came from the cold as he kicked his legs around in a tantrum before he attempted rolling around until he was right back on his hooves.
Roll post edit:
With a few loud snorts and a deep blowing sound coming from him Erebus just barely got back on his feet. Standing as firmly as he can as he once again went back to glaring at his legs. He didn't quite completely understand why they weren't working like how he wanted them too.
