Gypsy stared in wonderment as Apple started laughing, rolling over on the ground. The little avian also started to laugh with her - the magpie’s laughter was truly infectious. She was glad her friend seemed to be alright. She seemed to be able to laugh at everything! Gypsy admired that.

"Hahaha! Yeah, I'm totally fine! That was amazing! I gotta try it again!"

Apple jumped to her feet and a giant gust of wind suddenly carried her off once more. She stretched out her wings and floated, shouting out with gleaming eyes.

"Jump in! I'll hold the wind steady!"

At first, Gypsy wasn’t sure. The earlier crash hadn’t exactly been fun, but she supposed this was the best way to practice. Besides, the flying part was awesome!

“Okay!” With a cheerful chirp, Gypsy jumped and attempted to catch the wind with her wings.

“Eh? Eh? I can’t reach!”

The tiny bird jumped up and down, flailing her limbs wildly. The wind carrying Apple was now too high up for the small gembound to receive a boost. She waved her wings around, looking up at Apple in dismay.

“Awww, you’re so high up!”

Apple looked down at Gypsy with disappointment. It was too bad that she couldn't jump up with her. Floating on the wind was a ton of fun! Perhaps she was too tired or too small. Or maybe the wind was too strong for her to catch herself in. Either way, her spell was starting to wear off and she starting flapping her wings to set herself back down next to Gypsy. She touched down and gave her feathers a little shake.

"That's okay! We can try again another time. You're probably pretty tired. Don't want to exert ourselves right before the Olympics, huh? We want to be our best!"

She gave a little hop, but her feet were starting to hurt from all the walking and hopping she had done that day. She wondered if that was what Gypsy was feeling in her wings.

Gypsy wondered how Apple did that - land with such grace after flying. She wished she could do all those things that the other bird could with ease.

‘All in good time,’ she thought to herself. At least, she hoped so.

Gypsy nodded as Apple gave her encouragement. “Yeah I’m tired; best save some energy for the Oh-lymph-fix.”

She stretched out her wings and let out a little yawn.

“I think I’ll go sleep. Let’s go to the oh-lymph-fix together to sign up! I’ll meet you at Polaris before then! Take care!”

With a little wave of a wing, the tiny avian hopped away, chirping a quirky tune to herself.

Apple smiled wide at Gypsy's suggestion. "Okay! I'll see you in Polaris!"

She gave a small wave with her wings before leaping back into the air. She was getting hungry. Perhaps she would find herself something to eat before she headed towards Polaris.
