ORIGIN

Rohan emerges as one of the first Gembounds in Origin Cave and finds himself next to an Obsidian Gembound. He and the bear cub learn to speak together, and that their names are Rohan and Leon; they deem each other brothers, exploring speech and sounds. Leon has two fiery eyes and points out that Rohan's eyes are not the same; instead, one of Rohan's actually is kind of weird, which leads the wolf to discover that it might not be normal for him to have such limited vision. It prompts Rohan to ask about the jagged Obsidian cluster sticking out of the cub's shoulder, which might also not be normal... they decided both of their weird abnormalities are cool. Rohan wants to keep pieces of the stones from their chryaslises, but Leon goes on ahead to explore while the wolf pup figures out how to keep the stone shards.

While searching for armor pieces for the Beast of Tunnel J, Rohan gets himself stuck between logs in Eridanus. The lioness Makyna finds him and frees him with Budge, which impresses Rohan a lot! He had never seen something like that before! They introduce themselves and talk for a bit, and find out that they both know Leon!! Makyna even knows where Leon is and offers to take Rohan there, but Rohan is torn: does he take the armor piece he found back to the Beast, or go see his brother? He decides to follow Makyna out of Eridanus first, at least.

Rohan, still stuck with the armor piece on his chest, discovers Leon at their birthplace and in a seemingly bad state; but the wolf pup does not understand sadness or hurt, and is unsure of what to do to comfort his brother. The beginning of Rohan's inability to understand emotions may have begun here; or perhaps at birth, when Leon wanted to leave and explore, but Rohan was more attached to the pieces of themselves that were not quite themselves.

While searching for more lost pieces of The Beast's lost armor, Rohan follows a strange buzzing through a weird door; he could have sworn it said there was a piece that way! But the door closes and traps him in an unfamiliar room. There is a ton of water and it's the biggest room he's ever seen!! Well, maybe because he's lonely. Well... it is pretty big. Rohan can't figure out how to open the door, and he is trapped in the unknown room for several cycles. Eventually, others come to rescue him! Rohan is so happy!

Rohan spends a great deal of time focusing on his brother, trying to reconnect after being separating for what felt like an eternity after being trapped in Fornax. It seems that Rohan has lost a great deal of social skills and may never recover them, having opted to care for the inanimate during his time away. He is still keenly in tune to the social cues of others, and is very emphatic, even if he may not show it at times—for sheer lack of understanding when to do so. He still prefers to keep away from large groups.

During Rohan's 21st/22nd Cycle, he meets the kitten Prata, who is only about 2 Cycles old. Rohan had never been interested in young Gembounds before, but was taken by the kittens sapphire eye, much like his own opal eye. The wolf took the kitten in as his own, and began to raise Prata as his son. The rest of these cycles were spent with Prata and Leon, focusing on his family.

On a trip to Pisces with Prata, the two discover something ill has befallen the ponds of the wolf''s most favorite room. The home of the ice phoenix Tenzin has been unnaturally corrupted by something, diseased by plague and rotting; the stench is foul to the nose and Rohan is disgusted by what he sees. Fish float dead within the ponds and Prata warns against drinking the water. The two turn away from their destination and head elsewhere. Rohan makes a note to return later and see if there is anything he can do to aid Pisces in recovering from this chaotic misdeed.

After considering what may have been done to disease Pisces, Rohan returns later after meditating for some time to try and tackle the plagued ponds. He has learned new magic—to purify water—and will attempt to use it to restore Pisces to its previous self. After successfully purifying one pond, he believes he will be capable of cleansing them all; but only a fool believes such tasks are easy. The second pond proves almost fatal—three times!—and Rohan is lucky to have spent the extra time studying magic that would save himself from illness; he cleanses himself instead of the second pond, but is too tired to continue, and retreats to the warrens to rest.

Having retreated to the warrens to rest and recover, Rohan is notably tired and exhausted from his attempt at cleansing the ponds. After he is done resting, he will try again, starting with the pond that infected him thrice. However, he was not expecting his brother to follow him to Pisces; Leon's addition to his recovery process is a welcome one, but perhaps also a distraction.

Rested and ready to try again, Rohan sets off for the pond he left off on: the thrice infector!! His first attempt at purifying this pond fails, and he is infected a fourth time by this one pond. An unfamiliar winged-dog hybrid shows up and asks Rohan if he is talking to the water. Rohan is secretly happy for the company, and to be able to inform this visitor that in fact, he is speaking with all of Pisces, and Tenzin! And he will cleanse Pisces!! His second attempt to cleanse the pond is successful!!! Take that, pond!

Purifying the ponds has left him very drained and tired. Rohan makes a trip to Polaris to mediate where the magicka is strongest in the caves. However, there is a noticeable increase in golem activity and a strangeness to the magicka. Rohan comes across a black dog near the dam, looking out toward several golems.

A giant basilisk has torn through the caves, barging through the northern wall in Canis to reveal a strange room that is large and dark with a lone mountain in the middle. The basilisk calls itself Skahan.
