Zyros focused in on the part of the conversation about Wilder's so called fits. This was the part of the conversation where she thought she could contribute, as well as make Wilder feel better. It seemed that Wilder was doing a good job on trying to control her fits, so Zyros complimented her on that. "That's really good Wilder that you're getting better at controlling your fits! That takes some good initiative." Zyros was unsure whether Dragon would praise her on that, considering that he may be upset on the fact of Wilder helping someone she shouldn't have. Unfortunately, the joey couldn't put any of her input into the talk they were having. She didn't even have a clue who Wilder was trying to help. Unbeknownst to her, she knew nothing of Blackberry or the Bloodberries. Maybe that was a good thing.

@Dragon

Dragon glanced briefly at Zyros. He'd get to her soon, but first, there was one more thing to finish with Wilder.

"Then I misunderstood! I apologize--and that is good. On both fronts. So long as you agree, in the future, to put the caves ahead of others--to not keep secrets from us, but to allow us all to decide, as you should have done--then we are done, here. And you must continue to work toward controlling these outbursts. You are agreed?" He did not mention that when Pride had first come to him, for a split second he had thought the stag had harmed the cat, and he had nearly been ready to eat him.

That was... unrelated, and not really necessary to bring up.

@Wilder

Wilder perked up when the joey spoke and praised her. A small, tentative smile alighted her features. "Th-thank you! I'm doing my best!" She nodded hastily in agreement with Dragon, feeling a surge of relief that nothing drastic was happening. "I will, I promise. If anything big happens, I'll tell you before acting myself. And I'll do everything I can to figure out what's going on! I promise!"

Her tail twitched behind her and raised itself from the ground, evident to her rising mood again. "There are a few more things I wanted to speak to you about, but they can wait until..." She glanced over towards the gemling, whiskers twitching. She wasn't quite sure what she had walked in on but she was horribly curious and very much hoped that Dragon wouldn't send her away. Still, with the sensitive subject still hanging in the air, she glanced back towards Dragon. "Do you want me to leave? I can wait for you."

Zyros felt happy that Wilder was feeling better, and even more happy the situation was resolved. At only a cycle old she didn't like to see much violence in the caves. The young joey turned to Wilder to ask a question. "Hey Wilder, would you like to be my friend? Maybe we could work together to find out more of the caves!" It was a great suggestion, and after all the kangaroo liked the she cat very much. She was full of life, and kindness. Zyros already knew that not every gembound in the cave was like that. Then yet again, everybody was not meant to be the same. The kangaroo child looked at Wilder with a keen expression, as she imagined the things they could unravel together. Then Zyros noticed that Wilder needed to speak with Dragon, when she glanced at her. "Oh, I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

@Dragon

Dragon just grunted.

"Good! Then we are caught up to now. This child has come with questions about the swamp, and about 'secrets,'" Dragon explained to Wilder. His emphasis on "secrets" suggested that it was a vague thing, one that he didn't quite know how to tackle. 

"What was your magic? The mind, was it not? Can you read intentions?" he asked, tilting his head at Wilder. "I do not know if you know what has been happening elsewhere in the cave, but it is hard to tell who can be trusted." Hopefully that was subtle enough to be understood by the one, but not by the other--and hopefully Wilder actually had the ability. He was not even sure how far her magic stretched.

@Wilder

Wilder grinned again, finally back and revitalized to herself. The joey was friendly and nice and Wilder liked them! But she could see how Dragon was unsure of what they were here for...if someone approached her and asked her for all her secrets, well, she probably wouldn't give them up, even if they were really friendly. However, that didn't mean that it was nice to make a new friend. "Yes, of course! I'll be your friend! I love making friends! I'll be friends with everyone someday!"

So excited was she at the prospect of making this new friend, even if they were just a new-hatched, that she wasn't listening to Dragon anymore. Only when he was done speaking did she realize she missed something and she turned to him. "What?" A pause. "Oh, um," did he ask her to look into the joey's mind? Hastily, she tried to reach out with her mind and touch it but the attempt was sloppy and misaligned and the link snapped before it was made. She glanced back, hoping that they didn't notice anything. "Yeah, I can do that! Give me a minute."

@Zyros

Zyros listened, happy to hear that she would learn about the swamp and secrets of the cave. Though what she didn't understand is why he mentioned stuff about mind reading and intentions. She also didn't get why he said there are those who cannot be trusted. Was he speaking of her? Well probably not since they both just met. After all, she was very friendly towards Wilder, and Wilder was now her friend. She was also respectful to Dragon, so there was no reason for her not to be trusted. Zyros did not know why Wilder needed a minute, but she decided to wait, feeling something was going to happen.

@Dragon

"We can speak as soon as you wish," Dragon assured Wilder. "But... take your time."

He waited, his tail swishing slowly through the muck. I really ought to learn this magic myself, he thought, but such subtle things do not come easily. The big gator was cunning, yes, but he was more a brute that was very straightforward with his magic. It was difficult to be low-key with fire.

To keep the joey entertained--as a polite host, of sorts--and to keep her mind on other things, Dragon spoke. "Where did you hatch, child--here?"

@Wilder

Wilder narrowed her eyes, trying to focus on the joey as it looked between her and Dragon. Dragon's attempt at keeping it entertained was good, she could see if there was any kind of deceit behind that, but, unfortunately, it also caught onto Wilder's hyperactive mind. She cast the spell, but she also listened closely, wanting to know more about her new friend and actively paying attention to the conversation

And, of course, without concentration, the spell fell apart before it reached Zyros.

She frowned and grumbled to herself. She glanced at Dragon, her head dipped a little bit and she shifted with frustration. "Sorry," she muttered, "hold on..."

The joey answered Dragon's question as she waited for something she had no clue about. "I hatched in a tunnel with weird carvings in it. I think it's called tunnel J" Zyros then suddenly noticed that Dragon had said something about magic, which immediately sparked that joeys interest.She quickly gave a happy hop in the mud. "Wait, gembounds have magic?! Do I have magic? What kind of magic do you have Dragon?" Zyros was unaware that gembounds had anything of the sort. Her eyes widened some, look at the alligator with an excited expression. If she did have magic, things would be a lot more fun. Though, she would have to learn not to abuse her magic, of course.
