Caves only knew how many of them had thought they were "all grown up" when they were still barely more than children. He would be the judge of when Zyros was ready--or not.

"Good luck." He turned, then, waddling into the black lake--and submerging beneath its surface.

Zyros nodded as she watched Dragon disappear into the lake. Once she saw him completely gone, the joey hopped away to complete her quest. She was determined to show Dragon that she earned her name as the Child of Rot. She would prove herself to her new family that she deserved to be among them. The joey hoped that her quest would not be that bad, but she didn't expect it to be easy.
