He was utterly content within his chrysalis, his back pressed against the warm stone, a pleasant thrum going through his body. There was nothing that made him want to leave the confines of what was his tiny little world, but the world had another plan as spider-webbing cracks began to appear. His weight pressing against the stone, causing a sharp 'crack' to be emitted. All at once he found himself on the cold floor.
For a moment he lay there dazed, blinking, trying to figure out where he was and how he came to be. He was slow to pull his feet under him as he cast a glance to the the roof to find stalactites. Not that he knew what stalactites or really what anything around him was.
With a deep breath he tried to find that warm thrum he had felt and cast it outward. It built within his chest a heavy and deep until it overwhelmed all other thoughts, but within this he was made aware of another. His voice was raspy with disuse and he called out " Hello?"
He was aware that someone was there but there was nothing in the darkness that would suggest that. Fear was not something he felt in the moment, seconds old, he had no measure. Standing, he called out again his voice a bit stronger than before " Hello, is anyone there? I am.... I am. What was his name? What were these shards upon the ground? Wait, wasn't he still trying to figure out what his name was? The shards would still be there later, but his name was something to think on now, he supposed.
There was a lengthy pause as his childlike mind slowly went through the words he knew. The number was staggeringly lengthy. He was in awe. He didn't even know where he was or what he was doing, but he knew these things that popped up in his head. What was he trying to figure out again? Name, right. "Taxicolor" He was pleased with himself for choosing such a name, it fit him, he was quite sure.
A dark figure jump out at him. Instinctually, he tried to move out of the way. He was to slow and the great mass slammed into him with enough force to bowl him over. " Hey, I didn't do anything to you." He was laying on his side looking up at the thing that had jumped him. What were they doing? did they want to play? They could've just asked. What would someone like them want to play anyway? "Could you get off me please." They were making him feel uncomfortable with how close they were. There was a sinking feeling in his stomach, something he couldn't identify.
Round: 1/??
Attempt: Dodging out of the way
Defense: N/a
Injuries:N/a
The beast slammed down on top of the creature but the way it rolled seemed to make his claws miss. No matter. They were beneath him now. His face betrayed no emotion besides concentration, his lip curled just slightly to reveal the jet-black fangs beneath. His stomach rumbled. End it quickly, kill, devour.
He lunged forward, aiming to grab the creature in his jaws by its neck. Still an infant, his teeth were not long enough to penetrate the windpipe, they could not kill yet a creature this size so, instead, he tried to pick them up. Snap their neck. Shake them until they moved no more. And then...food.
Round: 2/?
Attempt: pick up by the neck and shake
Defense: none

He was being shaken, forcefully enough that he felt a wavy of dizziness run through him. It was an odd sensation. One that made his eyes tear up and blur. The nausea in the pit of his stomach grew. He was out of his safe chrysalis for the first time in his young life and this new person wanted to play rough. He didn't want to play rough, but he would. " Stop it!" with a grunt he drew up his back legs to his stomach, angling his kick upwards towards the being's throat. " I don't want to play with you anymore, I didn't even want to play to begin with."
Round: 2/??
Attempt: Trying to kick Azrael in the throat
Defense: N/a
Injuries:He's dizzy does that count?
He was shaking it, as hard as he could, but he was young. He was new. He was not strong enough...yet. Perhaps the prey was too big. Perhaps the predator was too weak. But he had begun. He must finish now. He would not stop...the scent of food was too intoxicating to resist.
The monster opened his jaws and let the creature fall. Noises continued to come from its throat. Terrified sounds, perhaps. Were all creatures so noisy when they faced death? His glowing eyes focused down on the creature for a moment before one of the claws raised and slashed down.
He was not cruel. He wanted to end it quickly. He did not wish to see the creature in torment, in suffering. He just wanted a meal. Every second longer, the pain in his stomach grew greater. He needed to eat. He needed to devour all. The claws went for the throat. They were long enough. Perhaps they were sharp enough too.
Round: 3/?
Attempt: go for the throat
Defense: none
Injuries: none
@Taxicolor
The being released him and he took a breath just as claw raked down his body."Hey!" It hurt, the deep gouges that now spanned his neck. He was bleeding. This was definitely not a fun time for him. He just wanted to figure out where he was and meet others. Make friends, but no this big.... thing wanted to hurt him. Why? What had he done to him? He stood, shaking the dust from his body. I said stop it!
With that he charged, head down, hoping to knock this creature of its feet. Eyes closed midway through his dash he completely missed them. Pivoting back on his hind hooves he turned back to face the creature again, anger flare hot within him. He didn't like it. It felt bad to him this urge to hurt, but he couldn't just give ground, this dark thing wouldn't stop.
Round: 3/??
Attempt: Act like a battering-ram and bowl him over
Defense: N/a
Injuries:Wounds along his neck
The claws came down, they ripped through skin, but still the prey moved. It screamed and backed away from him. He was confused. Why did it continue to move? It was bleeding - that was good. It would slow it down. Or maybe it would bleed out and die. That would take a long time...and it would hurt. He rather it was over soon.
He didn't move, then, purely out of a mild surprise. It was charging for him. The demon stood and stared down, a little off guard from the sudden movement. Shouldn't it run away? Does prey not flee? He had tried to hunt before and it had run away from him. The shadows had terrified the prey and the prey had fled for safety. But this one was not. It was charging. Attacking.
But now its back was to him. It missed in its assault. He acted on instinct. A swift leap. He was upon it. Claws reaching forward to grab the fur on its back. Teeth reaching forward to fasten themselves in its spine. To bite down, to crush if the teeth could not rip away.
Round: 4/?
Attempt: bite down on the back of the neck
Defense: none
Injuries: none
