The Collector could have been more helpful if he was going to send her to the Blacksmith by telling her where Fornax was, but she wasn't about to judge. She guessed.

Leaving tunnel K, she returned to the Star Room, where it was vaguely dark and the ceiling was littered with glimmering, white quartz. There wasn't a lot here, but she did quite like it. There were no long walls with carvings and there were no piles of metal and armour and leather, but it was fine.

The more she wandered, however, the more she found-- an array of buildings, some with shattered chrysalises by them, others crumpled with age, and some intact. She definitely liked those-- they were new, but she was unsure if she could actually do anything with them.

She entered one a little ways from the cluster of the rest of them, with a narrow doorway but a wide, open window with a long ledge. It smelled dusty, and there was moss crawling up the walls inside, but it was... cozy. Nice. She liked it in here.

Contentedly, she dropped her satchel. It clattered with the metals inside it, loudly, and she sat down by the doorway, crossing her legs over.

This was very nice, she decided.

Since his father had busied himself a little more with bolstering the Seven's--- general being, Azizos supposed, the lion-stag had found himself spending much more time in Orion. He watched the group's proceedings from afar with a measured curiosity, though he never particularly approached out of a desire to not impose. More privately, he thought that he might find trouble committing to upholding a rapport within a group, and dealing with the King.

Also, he supposed he just enjoyed the freedom being alone offered for general exploration and studying of the world. Investigating, really, was his forte. Curiosity had been instilled in him early on, and by the Caves he was going to live by it.

Which, really, was quite fortunate for him, as he picked up the clear-as-day sounds of pitter-pattering feet and metal clanging against--- well, something. Dropped.

Large, rounded ears perked forth and trailing after the sound's source --- the Morning Star hoped he was going the right way, since there was always room for error in such a wide and echo-filled room as Orion --- Azizos plodded off. Taking a casual canter about, he flicked his tail idly and sniffed: a slight smoky odor came to him, clearly marking a trail towards a somewhat decrepit building with moss spilling over its wide window. It created a bit of a curtain and a quaint little atmosphere.

The scent was stronger here, and Azizos couldn't help but give a soft, rumbling call, "hello?" A pause, and he gently pushed his face into the open doorway--- what was this? Silvery eyes scanned up and down the odd creature's form, noting the hands and flat face first. Odd. "My name is Azizos," he bleated pleasantly.

The more sat there, the more she was enjoying herself. It was lovely! It smelled nice, and it was fairly comfortably cool, unlike Monoceros. And unlike Monoceros, she wasn't being pelted with sand and dust and small rocks being carried by the wind. Maybe she could haul the stuff from her den over here and live here instead.

Maybe she could make a forge, like Glory had, and work here too, or in one of the other buildings. There were certainly plenty to choose from.

She pulled her satchel to rifle through it, taking a half-rock out from the tattered bag. It was pure black, obsidian, and was the failed result of Azure's bauble. The cleaved half was fairly smooth, however, and it was easy to grip on the non-flat side. Considering, she lifted it to her mouth.

Tapping into magicka, her breath was hot when she breathed out onto the surface of the stone. Unbearably hot, that her fingers would have burned if they weren't naturally calloused. Hot enough that the surface began to half-melt, and when it acted enough of an adhesive, she stuck it into the uneven, dusty ground, and lifted it back up.

It was cooling down fairly quickly-- quickly enough that it retained the tiny stones and sand stuck to it, creating a hot-to-the-touch but fine surface. A grindstone, Glory had called it. She set it down, and then looked up at the sound of hooves clicking against the cave floor.

There was a someone-- probably a new friend, really --moving towards her, a white creature who was probably two or three times her height. Not that Serendipity was intimidated, far from it. "Hello!" She repeated, pushing up to her feet.

Azizos. What a weird name. "I'm Sirendippity," said Siren. "Or Siren. Or Dip. Some people can't say it." It should be noted that she couldn't quite say it correctly either, mind.

"What are you doing here? Do you live here? Is this your den? I'm real sorry if it is," the child immediately began babbling.

@Azizos
This creature, however odd it looked, wasn't intimidated at all by the rather tall (comparatively, of course) hybrid sticking his head into the building. She immediately started in with a greeting and words that flew by a mile a minute. Azizos bobbed his head softly as he listened, antlers scraping the edges of the narrow doorway. Once the child was done talking --- likely to take a breath to spew more words --- the lion-stag quickly interjected in his own, soft voice, "I'm simply looking around, Sirendippity. I don't live here, nor do I think anyone else does."

Peering past Dip, he noticed quite a collection of things on the floor, already. Among them were the metallic objects he must have heard dropping earlier, and a hunk of obsidian. "Though, you've already made yourself quite comfortable," he smiled softly, bowing his head further, "may I come in?"

@Siren

Serendipity felt vague alarm as Azizos' antlers scraped the doorway. It didn't seem like a good thing-- she wouldn't want her horns touching solid stone, at least. She ruffled her hair, briefly.

"Oh, okay," she said. She took a brief look around the small building before announcing, "I live here now."

There was a lot she could do here to make it more homely, though it was already quite nice. She could find more cloth in tunnel J, maybe, to make the floor sofer to sit and lie on. She could find some lights and string them up the walls, and set nice things on the window ledge.

Her ears flicked, excited. But Azizos was still trying to talk to her.

"Uh, yeah?" Siren replied quizzically. "I mean, I don't see why not. I like it in here. It's good and comfortable and I'm gonna make it more comfortable." She took another look around and then leaned into a strange, half-oval shaped alcove in the wall. It smelled.. vaguely ashy. She had no idea what it was.

"If you don't live here, then where do you live? In the windy room, or the bone room?" She asked, as nosy children do. A pause later and-- "Or Fornax?"

She really hoped he lived in Fornax. It'd make finding the Blacksmith easier.

@Azizos
Azizos nodded once more; she lived here now, and the prospect seemed to make her excited --- that is, if he was reading the movement of her goat-like ears correctly and the odd way she flashed her teeth with quirked lips.

Once he had properly been invited in, the lion-stag rumbled in appreciation and carefully plodded in. Silvery eyes swept the building's interior in a single, surveying motion. What remained of the walls were bare and worn near-smooth, and there was an odd sort of hole in the wall that Sirendippity seemed bent on inspecting. Rather than get in her way, Azizos elected to lie down near the window. Tail flicking once or twice, it curled about his rear as he loafed. As for making it more comfortable, he offered helpfully, "the caves have many plants that may serve that purpose, though it will be temporarily."

For all of the child's apparent nosiness, Azizos didn't mind. He looked away briefly, in some unknown direction obscured by the building's wall. Towards Eridanus, really. His gaze trailed back to Sirendippity as he answered, "ah, no, I live in Eridanus. It's not far from here and full of plants, though be wary of two pools side-by-side if you ever go there." He warned gently, "they are called the Eyes, and are known to be dangerous to enter."

Ears flicking back, he gently scooted the conversation to more pleasant things --- particularly a specific pleasant thing: "you don't know the names of Monoceros or Canis, but do know Fornax's?" He furrowed his brows curiously, "are you looking for it?"

@Siren

Plants? She supposed so. She settled herself down in front of the smoky-smelling hearth and folded her legs up in front of her. "I've never really seen plants," she said. "Just dead ones. I was gonna put, uhh, this kinda stuff around?" She plucked at her tunic and the yellow sarong around her shoulders.

Her ears flicked upwards at the mention of Eridanus and its plants-- but the warning about the Eyes fell on mostly deaf ears. Danger wasn't exactly that much of a concern to Serendipity, or at least not yet. She was yet to learn any sort of fear reaction and a sense of.. generally being cautious.

"Well, uh," she replied. "No one's ever told me the names of the rooms. This gem called the Collector told me to go find the Blacksmith in a place called Fornax but he never told me where Fornax was?" Granted, she didn't exactly ask until he'd vanished in laughter.

Which might strike some people as 'ominous.'

"How many rooms are there?" The child asked. "I think I wanna go and see them all and make friends in all the rooms, and then make new things if I find anything in the rooms! There's a lot of stuff in, uh, Monakros and Kannis already, so there must be stuff everywhere."

@Azizos
Azizos eyed the cloth shown to him, pondering briefly if he had seen anything like it. Taking in account that he hadn't wandered too much of these caves or explored them deeply beyond Eridanus, Fornax, and Orion, the lion-stag came to no relevant conclusion. Clothing wasn't exactly something a furred creature had an interest in looking for, really. He simply gave a noncommittal hum in response, though he nodded in encouragement, "they would last much longer than plants, it seems." Worn and faded as the fabric looked, it looked resilient.

As the child settled down by the odd ash-hole, she continued to blab about two of the Caves's resident tall, scary folks: the Collector and the Blacksmith. While Azizos hadn't encountered either, he knew enough that the former took part in some shady business --- a black market of quests, of sorts. Nothing was outright wrong with the given objectives, but the used car salesman nature of the creature seemed to be... off-putting, to say the least.

Silvery eyes fell warily on Sirendippity, only to check over for any signs of damage. "The way to Fornax isn't far from here," he murmured cautiously, "but it's quite a climb for a while. I've been there a few times and could, perhaps, accompany you? I've never met this Blacksmith." All he had heard of that one was benevolence and the sharing of spells --- not entirely awful. But the Collector--- "What has the Collector asked you to do, once you find the Blacksmith?" he put forward, brows furrowed.

He added, pleasantly, again, "there are many rooms, full of many things to find--- yes. This room, Orion, leads to many others, including the Core Polaris --- it is home to a glittering blue rock that is the source of magic itself; and my home, Eridanus, full of greenery. Cetus, full of mists also lies beyond here, but be wary of the swamps. If you follow the sound of water on your way to Polaris, you may find yourself in Pisces, a room full of waterfalls and an icy lake."

Hopefully Sirendippity wouldn't mind the info-dump.

@Siren

"Yeah, I think so?" Serendipity said half-distractedly, blinking. She was only partially listening at this point-- fairly hypocritical, of course, given how often she tended to run her own mouth. "I mean, uhh, you can tear it and stuff but it's pretty warm and it seems. Uh. Tough?"

She did, however, at least start paying a bit more attention at the mention of Fornax. Serendipity lifted one ear, rotating it briefly, and then blinked. "Oh," she said. "We should go there because it seemed kinda important? What's the climb like?"

"He, uh, just told me I should go find him," She replied with an easy shrug, pushing up and wandering from the ash-hole. "He said that the Blacksmith could teach me how to make things. And I like making things! I'm very good at it now but I wanna learn more so I'm gonna go learn from the Blacksmith," she nodded several times.

The child crinkled her nose up a bit. There was absolutely no way she'd be able to register every single location name in her three-brain-cell-capacity mind. "How'd you know them all?" She asked. "I mean-- if there's so many, how do you not get them confused all the time?"

@Azizos
The fabric seemed to be much more tightly-bound and interwoven than, say, a plant's own veins may be. Azizos couldn't say much for the warmth aspect of it, since he found his own hide plenty warm enough for these caves. He wondered idly what it would be like to have no fur. Odd, likely --- and cold. He couldn't fathom the idea of trying to maneuver through Tunnel H without fur and hide.

Anyways. "It's very steep and fairly treacherous--- though you may find it easier than me," silvery eyes cast downward to his hooves as he paused, "at least you've got toes." He presumed those things on her forelimbs were toes, as well, but curiously longer. "It's essentially an upward climb for about an hour. I've found a fairly safe path that I could lead you up through."

Casually inviting himself along, the lion-stag tilted his head, "I would like to meet this Blacksmith--- I've heard little of him, and if he has knowledge to offer... I'd like to at least observe." If things were to go direly wrong, Azizos wanted to be there and do something resembling protecting this child and her three precious brain cells that were dedicated more to making things than they were to knowing the names of various caves. "You'll learn them eventually," he smiled softly, bowing his head, "it just takes time and practice, and you'll find ways to remember them as you explore them."

His gaze trailed to the child's satchel of things, curious, "did you make the things in there?"
