Serendipity glanced down at her toes, briefly, and blinked. She had no idea how this was meant to be related to anything, but she went with it anyway. "Yeah, I'll be the best at climbing," she said, nodding.

"He seems cool, I guess?" She offered uncertainly. She hadn't really heard anything about the Blacksmith either other than he made things and that he might be able to help Serendipity also make things, but perhaps that was aside from the point. "I wonder what things he's made."

Doubtfully, Siren grumbled in response. Her little baby brain was too baby to come up with all of this, and keep it in there for now. But maybe it would get easier, as he said. She turned around, blinking to the satchel. "Uh, some of them," she said. "I mostly just fix things right now but I want to start making them properly."

She unsheathed the knife from the chord around her waist, offering it out. "I fixed up this? It used to be all poop-coloured and the hilt was gross and splintered but now it's really good. And really sharp. Don't touch the metal bit or you'll get hurt, and it bleeds a lot when it does hurt you."

Oh, to be so optimistic about one's abilities like Sirendippity. Azizos nodded encouragingly in return, about dizzy with the amount of that he had been doing.

To be known simply as the Blacksmith, he must be either very arrogant or very skilled --- possibly both, really. The lion-stag had little proper interest in the trade itself (seeing as he lacked any sort of opposable digits) but seeing what it could offer would be worth the trip to Fornax. "Perhaps he will show us his works," Azizos mused aloud.

Silvery eyes regarded the hunting knife with quite a bit of curiosity, imagining it as 'poop-colored' and a splintered mess. "That must have been quite a bit of work," he rumbled softly, gaze tracing the sharp edges of the blade. "It's very shiny. Do you use it for hunting?"

It would make sense to use it as sort of an extension of oneself, especially when one didn't have a snout. Those fangs couldn't be too useful without a snout. Adaptation was an interesting little thing.

"Uh, sort of," Siren responded, turning the knife over in her small fist. "I can't like, eat all the fur and skin on stuff? And I don't have very good teeth for, uhh, ripping. So I use it to like, peel back the skin and hair and stuff, and cut off bits to eat."

Some gembounds, Siren had learned, found this very strange. But they were always the ones with big mouths and sharp teeth and nothing to worry about. "I mean, I can eat leaves and berries and stuff too but they're not as good."

She stuffed the knife away back into the rope chord around her waist, scooting out of the building. She shook herself out, dog-like, and then glanced up at the ceiling. "So, uh, which way to Fornax? " She asked. "What kinda works do you think he'll even be doing, anyway?"

Because 'the Blacksmith' wasn't clear enough of a name for her.

Azizos blinked at the knife, head tilting slightly with a curious hum. The weapon seemed to act as the many sharp teeth and powerful jaws Sirendippity seemed to lack. It didn't account for the missing fur and skin, but he assumed they were discarded much like bones and the less sanitary organs were. He didn't want to seem too interrogative.

The lion-stag moved on, gaze trailing towards where he had indicated Eridanus to be before. "I've never tried them, but Eridanus has a number of fruit that you may be interested in trying --- they're like larger, juicier berries," Azizos flicked an ear, "much more worthwhile than a few berries, perhaps." If only he could actually taste sweetness. Any plant life he had attempted to digest as per Mercurius's suggestion tasted tart, bitter, and miserable.

Sirendippity was scooting out of the building anyways, eyes glimmering with a reflection of the starry vault's ceiling. He paced after her, casually stretching in a cat-like fashion as he did, ducking his head as not to catch antlers on the doorway. "This way," Azizos mewed pleasantly, with all the air of a sincerely enthusiastic tour guide that had yet to learn what ninety degree weather and seventy twelve-year-olds can do to you, and began to move off in the direction of Tunnel M. "He may be creating knives like the one you hold, and perhaps ones even larger than that. Protection of sorts, too."

A slight pause, and silvery eyes glanced down at Sirendippity. Perhaps--- "I could carry you there? So as to save strength for the climb up Tunnel M."
