Okay, so yeah -- a lot was happening. Sunny took a quick catalogue of the sudden menagerie -- the screaming-thing, little-stone, which was how she was trying to communicate "baby". Then the bigger one, bigger than Tema, with lots of limbs and eyes, introduced herself as Carja. She was able to get very, very loud! Sunny was impressed. But then came the main event. Slime.

Her eyestalks strained forward and quivered at Oka as Sunny's tiny body was briefly overwhelmed by emotion. "Snail," she managed weakly, visibly excited. This was certainly not a little-stone. She looked around at everyone, her eyestalks moving accordingly, and made an audible noise of excitement. "Snail-kin!! Yes! Slime! Big slime! Yes, yes, yes." She glanced back at the kitten. "Friend-kin! All sorts are friend-kin. Tema is kin, Oka is slime-kin, Little-stone and Carja are friend-kin." Oh, how nice it was to have new friends! Interesting, though, considering three out of the five creatures gathered had a very liberal relationship with language.

"Snail time," Sunny declared more seriously, starting to make her way towards Oka to get a closer look. Very slowly.

@carja

Carja grinned widely, "I am pretty blue!! And you're pretty too! And big, and fluffy! Are you soft? Can I touch you?"

The she-dragon wiggled around in excitement and bounded forward, skidding to a stop in front of Tema when she saw Sunny on the ground.

"Hello! Slime time!", she squawked, before flapping her wings to jump over her and hover next to Tema.

Carja was only the size of a large cat, still small enough that she was clearly a whelp, about two cycles judging by her speech and horn growth. She landed and sat down on her bum, tail flicking from side to side as she observed everything going on, as happy as a clam.

Oh bother, Tema wasn't quite sure she'd ever get used to talking in groups, especially if there was always this much yelling. Oh look, another snail. The slime! Tema watched as Sunny moved forward slowly, realizing why she'd been her transportation up until this point.

Tema offered her paw forward to Sunny. Should she hopefully catch the hint and climb on, she'd gently swing her paw around closer to the newcomer. Even being preoccupied with Carja, she wanted to try and offer as much assistance as she could to her kin. Plus... having Sunny remain either in sight or touching her prevented Tema from accidently stepping on her and she liked that comfort very much.

Oh, Carja! She had almost forgotten she was being spoken to by putting her attention back towards Sunny and the new snail. She was vaguely aware that the new snail also called for her attention, but if it wasn't obvious by now, she was limited by her young brain when it came to multitasking.

Soft? It took yet another moment for the word to register in her brain, leaving more silence in it's wake. She was a little, but more fuzzy than anything. Once her fur finished growing out it would be rather thick and rough, not unlike that of a large short haired dog.

"Touch, yes!" She eventually agreed, turning her head to follow Carja's flight.

"But now is Slime Time! Snail-kin is here!" She finally found herself the chance to turn her attention to Oka and... oh lord was that a big snail!

OOC Notes:

@Oka
Had Oka the ability to, they would've tilted their head. They had never been called slime-kin before. Then again, they'd never talked to another snail before. Perhaphs this was how all snails talked, and Oka was the odd one out. Though they supposed they were slime-kin. That was...accurate. They were slimy. And a snail.

"Yeah, slime time?" Oka said.

Oka watched, quiet as Sunny made her way over to them, sliding over the ground. And kept sliding. She was still moving. She hadn't got far. Figuring that this would take a while, Oka slinked from the edge, closer to the group. Their foot rippled as they walked. Oka was faster just from sheer size. When they reached the group, Oka lowered their black, stalk eyes. The snail crawled upon the bear, Tema. They seemed to be friends? Though it was beyond Oka for guessing how long. Oka wanted to get a closer look at them. Oka was much taller. Oka couldn't remember if they had been that large when they hatched. But they'd probably get bigger, right?

"What do you, um, mean by slime time?" They said. Oka made slime, but they hadn't the faintest idea what slime time would've meant. They felt like they were missing out on an important part of snail society that they'd never known of. They were kind of embarrassed that a snail much younger than them knew of it. Their eye stalks raised, and they turned their attention to the rest of the youngsters. "Are you all here for slime time?"

@Madhukar ((Im sorry this reply took so long yall jkghj))
Madhukar watched, feeling only half lucid, as Sunny explained "friend-kin". Tema is kin, Oka is slime-kin, Little-stone and Carja are friend-kin. Got it. Honestly, Madhukar didn't completely understand... even a single word of that explanation, but the emotions welling within her were positive, so she felt she understood. She certainly couldn't object. What was it about this little Sunny that had enchanted her so?

Tema (the kin), the pretty blue one, Carja (the other friend-kin), and Oka (the slime-kin) seemed to be speaking of a Slime Time, and Sunny of a Snail Time. A very... very slow collision appeared to be transpiring. Madhukar could only watch as though witnessing a crime in a dream; shocked but with a languor, like moving through peanut butter.

"Slime time..." she said softly, mostly to herself, still having no idea what had overcome her. It was all just a slurry of events, tracing a path down which the kitten had no other option but to walk. She followed in the slimy trail of the one who called her "Little-stone". She didn't even realize that she hadn't given her actual name.

For all she knew, she could've been Little-stone this whole time, and it wouldn't have mattered an inch.

Because it was Slime Time now. What mattered was... slime.

@Sunny
Sunny gently touched Tema's paw with one of her tentacles, thankful for the help even if she felt a little silly being carried. Carja was close enough to also receive a gentle touch, so Sunny gave one, but then she was being moved closer to Oka who made an effort to face her. Sunny's eyestalks waved excitedly and she touched both of the tentacles on her face to the nearest part of Oka's foot. "Snail-kin solidarity!" she declared proudly, but then decided to try and explain herself. Being around Tema had given her a rough understanding of how actual language worked beyond the instinctual gibberish she spouted, so Sunny tried her best.

"Snail-sense," she began, knowing that 'smell' wasn't a good way to describe her understanding of the location of a slime-trail. "Snail-sense of slime. Slime is... slime??" The word she was looking for was 'sacred', but that wouldn't have been any clearer. "Big snail has big slime. Sunny has snail-sensed no other Snail-kin. Stone-kin in Tema, yes! Friend-kin in Carja and Little-stone, yes! But Snail-kin, Slime-kin? Only Oka. Only Oka." Sunny hoped that she'd expressed herself well enough. It actually made less sense to her than her gibberish did... thankfully, Sunny would pick up language in the coming cycles and sound less ridiculous.

She glanced back (notably, just by moving one of her eyestalks, not the edge of her body which could be deemed her head) at Madhukar and made a trilling noise remarkably similar to a purr or chirrup. "Does Little-stone have snail-sense? Can she smell-see the slime?"

@carja

Carja gasped and papped her paws on Tema's side, cooing in utter delight, "Wow!! I've never felt fur before!"

She leaned over and flopped down into her side, giggling happily as she wiggled and rubbed herself all over Tema, "So soft!!"

She popped up again to look at Sunny, grinning happily at the touch. She lifted her tail and gently touched Sunny back, just so happy to be with everyone that she couldn't contain an excited squeal.

Tema tried her best to split her attention among the group, both glad to have new kin and sad that simple-thinking was gone. Thankfully now that they were for the most part all focused on the topic of Slime Time, Tema needed less of her limited brain power to track the conversation.

She offered a gentle nudge and smile in response to Carja, letting the pretty blue one settle into her side. Touch was comforting, she noticed. It brought a familiar warmth to her chest, similar but not as strong as the warmth she felt when hatching. It reminded her that she wasn't alone.

Oh, yes. Slime Time. It held much meaning to Sunny, Tema noticed. Slime-kin was special, like Sunny! So Tema would try to make Sunny's Slim-Kin her friend-kin and she would share the best greens with all the slimes... After Carja moved. She didn't want to upset the pretty blue.

In the mean time, Tema would stay silent and search for the right words to befriend the big slime and the little bear... or little stone. She believed Carja was already friend-kin and would happily give her greens too... but the best greens were for the slimes. Slime-kin were special to Sunny. Sunny was stone-kin, so she was special to Tema.

That, at least, was simple.

OOC Notes: Sorry she isn't talkative this post. Hopefully it isn't too hard to work off of >.<

@Oka

Oka!

"You-ah, yeah! I'm slime-kin!" Oka said. Wow. There really was a lot Oka had missed about being a snail. Oka didn't know about slime-kins. Or stone kins. Oka, in all truth, felt a little embarassed. Their stalks wilted at the thought. Why didn't they know all this when they hatched! All they did was nibble plants. "I," They said, voice wavering. They needed to do some introspection. Figure out who they they were.. "Okay. Uh, this is kinda weird. No--no I mean its a lot! A, um, a lot to learn! I-" Was I this small when I hatched? Their thoughts interrupted their speech.

"Hey I'm gonna go now, okay?" They needed to figure out how snail stuff works. They couldn't say that, with an audience, and a snail much younger than them there. They already knew all the snail stuff. Oka shrunk slightly. Retreating within their shell almost instinctively. "You guys can find me whenever! I'll be here. Just, uh, look for my slime trail. Friend-kins?" Were they saying it wrong? Oka turned, eyes and tentacles hidden within their face, and slimed a trail away from the group.

@Madhukar ((IM SO SORRY))

;exit bc im SORRY
Madhukar lost all sense of self in the midst of slime time. She hung on every one of Sunny-snail's jarbled words, and yet her comprehension of them seemed to slip through her fingers -- hard to grasp, wriggly. Perhaps the sensation could feel similar to being on catnip. What the heck was this snail? Slime-kin, friend-kins, it was like a language of emotion. You weren't meant to think about it, just to understand it. Nod your head and stumble in the right direction.

The big big slime-kin was leaving. That was unfortunate. Should they all leave, then? Madhukar didn't want to go... "...Still slime time?" She had to know. What was their reason for being here exactly? What was the purpose of slime time? Was it meant to go on? Why was the big slime-kin leaving...
