"Slime-kin?" she said, dismayed, as Oka turned to leave. Her tentacles stretched out, and she felt... sad. Sunny stretched herself out on Tema again, disappointed. Just as soon as she'd made a new snail friend, the other one was overwhelmed by her strangeness and turning to leave? Who knew when she'd find another sentient snail, not to mention one as big as Oka? Sunny sighed. She wasn't feeling too good anymore.

She looked to Madhukar, turning her whole head this time, and her own eyestalks drooped. "Sunny-snail is rest-needing now," she said apologetically, not able to quantify the yucky feeling any other way. "Is Tema-kin leaving-ready?"

figured we should close this thread since it was like almost four months ago

Carja looked over at Oka from where she was huddled against Tema, snuggled into her side. She raised a claw and offered a wave, mouth splitting into a grin.

"Bye!", she chirped, and turned to Sunny.

"You're leaving? Already?", she asked, "Can I... Can I walk- or fly you home?"

She still wanted to stay with her new friend, at least for a while longer. She had a family to get back to, after all.

Sunny-snail declared a need for rest. Oh... Madhukar could understand, but... for some reason, she had enjoyed this extremely weird, half-lucid "slime time". She had met and been fine with meeting more people than she had ever met and been fine with meeting all at once before. Of course, Madhukar was going to let the snail go. However Sunny was going to manage that. It seemed like there were taxi volunteers. Madhukar also would have volunteered but clearly there was no need. It would have been a bad excuse to stay...

She really did want to stay...

But Madhukar assured herself that she would see Sunny again. Really, how far could the snail move? The kitten probably wouldn't have to cross the entire cave system to meet Sunny again, so it was fine. They were friend-kin. It was fine! Tema-ki-- Tema and Carja seemed to stick out a lot and they would probably be around Sunny too, so that was another way of finding the mysteriously silver-tongued(?) snail again. Goodness, it really IS fine Madhukar, just LEAVE-- okay okay! Madhukar was going!

"Res' well, Sunny-snail." See you... eventually.

Just as soon as everyone had gathered, they had gone. Tema couldn't helped but feel sad as the slime they had been searching for left, presumably due to being as overwhelmed as the bear had been. It was probably for the best, being around so many other gembounds meant their magic surged and swirled together in one confusing mess. Not that Tema knew this, but it was certainly adding to the strain on her young mind and probably everyone elses' as well. Tema was used to conversation and thinking being very simple half-formed thoughts and words... Clearly that would not be enough for future slime-time adventures.

"Yes." Tema paused, still reeling by the suddenness of the entire adventure from snail-finding to Oka's departure. "Will Sunny-snail fly with pretty blue Carja or walk with stone-kin?" She asked, tilting her head. She liked carrying her stone-kin -it gave her a purpose- but she had also just met the little dragon friend-kin and would have liked to keep them around a while longer. In the end she would gladly allow her kin to make the choice; it was her transportation after all, and if she was tired the snail might not have been comfortable traveling with a new friend just yet.
