Nemo
Yes! I thought of something nice and new!
"Maybe I can make one myself," he mutters between massive bubbles in the water.
The beat before the pup curled in on herself had his heart hammering, but her laughter pulls it's raucous mirror out from Nemo's deep chest, and he begins to wheeze with how hard he's laughing at how absurd this whole thing is!
It gets even better when she goes to copy him, and it's in the middle of his inhale to catch his breath that the water.
Well. The puddle practically exploded.
Nemo's soaked, he's on his back, Comet seems to have been flung... over there.
The 'geier has to take a moment to process everything, and then he starts shaking again,
treasonous laugher through his whole body as he attempts to roll over once, twice before getting his wings under himself and forcing himself to his talons and Nemo shuffles around the pool, or... where it used to be.
"Comet are- hah, ahah, sorry one second- are you okay?" he's got his beak open as he pants, but he is genuinely concerned
I promise, and he's calming down.

"See now, Comet, this is the kind of backfiring I'm used to in my magic. Glad you've had a soft landing though," Nemo waves a wing, fluttering feathers over the pup and attempting to brush off the snow now everywhere.
"Don't apologize to me, after all," he chuckles a bit, and gestures back toward where they had been standing, and the chunks of ice barely visible in the snow,
"I dropped ice on us. Getting soaked isn't as bad, promise."
Taking a few steps away, he shakes himself out thoroughly, looking at his feathers and grooming out some ice forming on his chest while making sure Comet isn't.. limping or bleeding or something.
"Wanna hear some stories about the dumb stuff I've done? I have two that I'm sure you'll get a kick out of!"

Nemo
Comet's smile causes him to offer a beaky one of his own, and he chuckles as he bounces away after her sneeze, using his weight and wings to flatten a small circle in the snow as a sort of stage.
"Now, for the record, I'm not only unlucky with magic, but I also tend to have..." a whirling gesture to his head, and a self depreciating chuckle,
"Some featherbrained ideas. I even started my existence with one. You know that whirling monster of a storm in Monoceros?" he waits a beat, to see if there's a flicker of recognition, and no matter the result he continues,
"Think of those small gusts I can make with my wings, and stretch it up to the ceiling of a cave, times hundreds of times the power, and make it eternal. You'll get the picture."
Nemo suddenly pauses, like he'd been possessed by an idea, so he does something relatively ... well. Featherbrained.
So, he tugs on his magi - that feeling between his feathers and coursing in his core - and it flows perfectly, for the first time that he can recall.
The wind whips off his wings and through the air, trailing off as he angles his gust towards the ceiling as if to try and match the storm he was describing, some snow picking up in the process and glittering in the funnel. It only lasts ten or so seconds, and he cuts it off himself, his heart pounding as the glee from finally nailing a spell, and during a retelling of his hatch day too- must be s sign!

He chuckles in satisfaction, chest and neck fluffing as he draws himself up higher and takes a deep breath to continue his story.
"Well, my chrysalis was formed in and been polished by those winds- far enough that I wasn't in the eye, of course," a wry chuckle, and a shake of his head,
"But close enough that as soon as I split my stone for the first time, I felt the winds whipping past me and drying my feathers faster than I'd ever been aware of. That doesn't seem too impressive, considering that I had just hatched, but I've yet to find something that occurs in the caves that moves like that. Not even the waterfalls of other caves rival that storm sheer power and raging roar."
Nemo pauses again, and looks at the pup, and then shrugs his wings with a nonchalant and self depreciating smile, and simply states,
"Then I tried to fly in it. Opened my wings, and let the winds pull me like I pull my magic."

Nemo
The open shock has him start to cackle, and he takes a dep breath to continue at Comet's impatient pressuring.
"Well the obvious! I left the ground, alright, but I had no control over my flight! Got sucked straight up into the twister and kept tumbling no matter what I did!" Here, he flares his wings for emphasis, kicking up more snow and scattering the glittering white powder over the both of them with a few powerful flaps,
"I honestly thought I was gonna break up there- into tiny little pieces! My wings weren't fully fledged out, so the fact that I was in the air was because of the storm alone, no power of my own! I found the tiny part of me that wasn't scared featherless at the prospect of dying, grabbed onto it hard and screamed out into the wind- not out of fear, oh no! I'd uh," here, some of his bluster and bravado fades, and he looks a bit sheepish.
"I'd already screamed like that before... Ahah, it couldn't be helped though, could it..."
He trails off a bit, that day burned into his memory like the wind was burned into his being- and he has to pause and consider if he really wants to tell... this little one about how badly he'd messed himself up.
I'm supposed to be making them feel better about that little magic flip-up, not scaring them...
