ORIGIN

Despite how fun it was running around making all sorts of colored dyes and thinking of the best way to mess with everyone in sight, Deli still had to remember that they'd been given a job that they very much would like to complete. After all, the reward was going to make everything so much easier and so much more fun. Ah, they could imagine it now, taking the form of some terrifying creature that would scare the ever loving shit out of the orthoclase. Yeah, they wanted to see that fucker quivering.

Polaris always seemed like a good place to find people - Deli ran into others all the time around here. It would be safer then going directly to a group's territory and trying to steal someone with everyone around, although that ran the risk that they grabbed a loner. Well, they could always keep grabbing people until they found someone that would work.

Crouched behind a rock, they decided to start their investigation with a bit of stealth. Now that they knew this very useful little spell, it would do them a lot of good when it came to troublemaking. Their fur rippled under the magic and, although they'd intended to make it reflect light, it instead just made them a whole lot brighter and more obvious, a fact that they barely noticed, assuming that the spell had worked. They crept out of their hiding place, as if they were invisible, nose up in the air as they searched for any nearby bystanders.

Deli spotted them as they got close, the white sticking out against the dark stone of Polaris. It was around this time that they noticed that their fur was...not reflecting like it should. Well...they'd have to try a different tactic then.

They began to creep forward, coming up to Forgraves from behind. Once they got a little closer, they reached out with their magic, feeling for the blood that ran through the fox's veins, for the muscles and nerves that made their body move and grabbed it firmly, holding them down. They didn't...quite get everything, Forgraves could probably move his back legs, but deli made sure to hold their neck and chest in place so he couldn't turn around to look.

Concentrating hard, they approached faster now, releasing the fox's jaw so he could speak. "Hey," they rasped in a deep, distorted voice, so not to give away their identity. "Why don't you tell me who you are and who you belong to."

Deli smiled when Forgraves started to fight, no humor twinkling in their eyes this time, especially when the fox didn't give them the answer they wanted. Obviously they didn't understand...or maybe they were a loner? But...shit if they were calling to someone, then they needed to get this done fast or they'd be dealing with two little fools instead of one.

They grabbed harder with their magic, clamping the fox's mouth shut about halfway into his cry. "Hey, come on," they growled. "Don't do that, I'm not hurting you. I won't hurt you. Just tell me what group you're with, alright? The sooner you tell me, the sooner this will be over." Their tail was wagging hard behind them, heart beating in their chest, the humorous glint returning to their eyes. This was actually pretty exciting!

Deli sighed, eyes narrowing. They crouched down behind Forgraves arms resting on their legs. "Kid. Chill out. Didn't you hear me? I'm not gonna hurt you!" This was getting annoying. Deli was smart - observant enough to pick out the small details. They caught the slightest of hesitations on the fox's part when they mentioned groups. They were holding back, lying to them.

Okay, they needed to get out of here. "If you're not gonna tell the truth, then why don't we go have a chat somewhere else?" Maybe they could make some trouble with this friend of theirs? If they were lucky enough, they'd be in the same group together, or this guy would just wreak havoc on whoever had a claim on Forgraves. And if the Collector didn't accept it...they could just go have some more fun!

A small flick of their magic and Deli was forcing Forgraves to their feet, commanding them to begin walking through Polaris, towards the tunnel that would lead them towards Orion. Maybe they could convince this guy that Seven had a claim on their friend.

The roar caught Deli way off guard and they jumped - literally - immediately releasing the hold on Forgraves as they turned around to face whoever had come for them. At first, they had thought that their opponent was gonna be some other relatively weak creature, maybe another fox or something. They certainly weren't expecting a literal monster to come charging straight at them.

Their smile dropped, as did their ears, as they looked at their opponent charging straight towards them. Letting out a bark of terror, they quickly through out their hands, puffs of fungus appearing in their palms, which exploded on their command, bright, colorful spores emitting in a cloud towards Azrael as they backed up. They hoped that, whatever he saw, it was terrifying enough to get him to back down or at least give them a change to escape.
