ORIGIN

Stormy grimaced at the memories of her hooves sliding on the ice in the tunnel, and the cold biting at her body. It had been absolutely horrible. She had been so thankful for that pegasus that had come to her that day and offered his fluffy wings to keep her from dying to the cold. His feathers and body had been so warm. ”I can agree there. I don’t like cold or ice very much anymore after that.” The young mare admitted with a soft laugh. She was thankful that she hadn’t been hurt or anything frozen due to the cold.

After she had finished talking, Haven lifted her head noting that a chill was starting to worm its way into the air. ”You’re right it actually is getting a little chilly.” The mare noted as her flank twitched feeling the cold seeping into her body. Stormy’s gaze once more fell out onto the water, her hazel eyes catching the beauty of the dimming lights throwing a multitude of colors over the water and ceiling. SOmething again she had never seen before.

As she looked at the sight before her the mare's breath was taken away at the sight. It was absolutely magnificent. Silver ears shifted catching Haven’s voice as she warned her about leaving Leo. She didn’t know where she could go to get anywhere safe for the night. ”If… You don’t mind. Think you could help me up to the grass? I don’t really know where Ican go from here for the night.” The horse admitted sheepishly. She may have been a far traveller, but she had no idea where it was best to spend the night in this quadrant of the cave.

”However I can go find elsewhere, I’m not against it if it’s too much trouble. Though I’m not sure you would want to bring me back down in the morning. I also don’t want to intrude on your home either.” The mare half stumbled over herself, hoping that asking to be lifted to safety for the night wouldn’t put out her new friend.

Stormy let a light smile fall into place on her muzzle as she rocked to stand on her hooves once more. She wasn’t sure if this would be a better position for Haven to pick her up. She wasn’t sure which way would be better for the dragon to pick her up. After all this would be the first time she was going to be leaving the ground ever. However if the dragon didn’t think she would be safe on the sands for the night then she would gladly spend a night on the cliffs. After all it would be a new experience and she was always willing to try anything once.

A sheepish grin spread over the young mares muzzle as the dragon took a gentle hold of her and heaved. The young mare grimaced at realizing how heavy she actually was and how possibly difficult her request would be. ”Sorry I didn’t think I’d be that heavy.” The young mare called to Haven as the dragon struggled to lift her rather bulky body. Strong as dragons were a large gembound like her would of course pose at least a little trouble for a dragon.

As they landed and Haven scooted off to a new position, the mare scuffed her hoof on the new found grasses. ”It also might be that I'm heavier than I figured I was.” She laughed nervously, she hadn’t honestly considered how much she weighed after all she was a horse, James had been large as well when she was a child. ”Thank you very much Haven.” The mare offered her thanks to the dragon.

A bright smile spread over the horse’s muzzle as she felt the dragon gently bump her. The mare happily and quickly returning the dragon’s affections. ”Goodbye beautiful friend. I had a lot of playing with you and talking. I do hope to see you again soon!” The mare offered her goodbyes, though sad to see her new friend leave, she knew somehow they would meet again. After all she had decided that she would frequent Leo.

The mare watched the dragon leap off the cliff then circle around her for a moment before flying off. ”Goodbye Haven!” Stormy called joyously after her new friend. She was sure she could pick and choose her way down if she needed in the morning. With her new friend gone to find herself and her mate dinner, the mare did the same walking farther in on the cliffs to find the denser grasses. The mare began to eat and after would find herself a place to sleep for the night.
