Ever since the trial he had been fascinated with Pisces. It was slippery and wet, yes, but water seemed to roll right off of his fur. The cold didn't bother him because the downy white stuff all over him kept him nice and toasty. Plus, there were ridges here and with his new larger body (about the height of a large leopard but longer) he wanted to try out his wings which had grown considerably over the past few days. It didn't worry him that he was growing at an alarming rate, it excited him! He would be so large and big and just wait till Kerberos saw him! The last meeting had ended up in "play" which had ended with both of them collapsing. Baratheon was certain this time he would win! ..Well, so long as he didn't eat Kerberos it was all good. He just wanted to show off his power!

First thing was first though, he had to test out these wings.

He climbed up on the ridges, by passing a few dens. One with flowers and crystals and leaves strewn all around with a lioness sleeping within. He'd be extra careful not to wake her. He continued to climb and climb, passing another den with a tiny fox but he was intent and paid her little mind as he used his paw-claws to grab onto things. It was slippery but he made sure to be extra careful. For a moment he paused and focused on his magic in an attempt to make it less slippery but it didn't work. Ah well, couldn't work all the time. The dragon shook his head and continued up to this highest ledge. He was a looooong way up and for a moment he felt it in his gut. The brief thought of climbing back down and reconsidering buzzed in his mind. He shook these thoughts away. He came here to fly and dang it he would!

He spread his wings, peered down at the ground --that was veeeery far away-- then without thinking about it, he leaped-- and promptly began to fall. Panicking he began to flail his wings. "Rah! Damn it! Come on! Work! Work! I know you can!" He didn't know how he knew but he did. He flapped and flapped and finally felt his descent began to slow but it wasn't enough. Fearfully he covered his eyes with his paws and in a new approach let instinct take over. His wings spread and instead of falling he began to glide towards the ground. He peeked then uncovered his eyes as he realized he wasn't going to die. "Yeah! Alright!" He didn't flap his wings again and instead did a slow circling descent until he landed --not so gracefully-- on the ground. He had to try that again!

The trial. It struck her heard like a gong. She had wanted to avoid it, but as a Maji Walezian, her duty to her family required that he be there. As it went, the huge turn out of events was a disappointment to the crumpled piece of fennec who now lay forlornly in her den. Large, tufty ears lay on either side of her as she leaned her cheek against the cold, hard ground and did not bother making an effort to look like a lady at all. Sprawled-eagled and with matter fur, Quix was really quite a sight.

Then…a crumble. A large thud, claws scraping against the rocks. Immediately, the fennec fox tilted her ears and raised her head. What was it now? Then, a swoosh of pink belly and fur and the remaining, offending hindleg which moved up. Lastly, the tail, and then it was gone. The fox felt her heart thud in her chest. What in…"Hey you KEEEP IT DOWN” she yelled and got onto her feet, hopping to the entrance like an alarm clock, up and down, up and down. "Manners young gem” she yipped at him, sounding just about threatening as a squeaky toy. Oh no! What if this guest ruined their home? SHE. WAS. RUINED. The girl craned her neck up, eyeing the furry beast scaling the wall with quite a cross look on her face.

Had someone yelled at him while he had been climbing? As he had been gliding down, he thought he did. Well, there was only one way to find out. He headed right back up those ledges, careful to avoid waking that sleeping lioness (was she the one from the trial?) he made his way back to the other den. the one with the fox. He didn't go all the way in but simply poked his head in to see the cross-looking fox.

"What was that you said?" He turned one overly large ear towards her and cupped a paw to it. "I'm afraid I couldn't hear you clearly. Hard to understand the language of party-pooper." He didn't know where that comment came from but it made him intensely happy to say. He had heard full well what the fennec had said to him, it just hadn't registered at the time.

With a laugh and a slightly smug expression he continued upwards, not sticking around to hear what other insults she had in store. Instead he made his way to the top ledge and peered down at the ground, wings raised as he prepped himself to leap again.

What an insolent brat! The offending furry pink dragon came back down again (nevermind that he was furry which made Quix feel more inclined to be nicer to him), cupped a paw to his ear in a mocking manner. Party-pooper? What was that. It didn’t sound like a niece term to use though. He then turned to leave. The fennec fox felt that her duty as a coordinator went beyond making peace. It was to coordinate guests and Maji Walezi as well and this critter was upsetting the balance. A strong sense of duty rose within her and with a yip, she flung herself out, intending to catch onto the dragon’s tail. "Oh no you don’t” she yelped as she hurled her tiny body forward, intending to latch onto the tail before this unruly gembound disappeared to the top.

Before he had even reached the top he felt the little fox grabbing onto his tail. It didn't hurt. In fact, he could hardly feel it since she got the long hairs of his tail tuft. Baratheon rolled his eyes --or the equivalent since he lacked visible pupils-- and continued onwards. "Oh yes, I do." He was starting to like this huge size growth. It made him large enough to get away with a lot of things. Like climbing when stubborn foxes didn't want him to.

When he reached the top and peered down he could still feel the fox on his tail and when he raised his wings, still there. He couldn't fly with the little thing clinging to his tuft so he turned his head and lifted his tail, bringing the creature right up to his face. He quirked a brow at her with an "are you serious?" expression on his face. "So, you being on my tail like this? What exactly are you hoping to accomplish?" It wasn't as if she was really stopping him from flying. If he wanted he could just shake her off... in fact...

He gave his tail a few shakes in an attempt to dislodge her. "Look, little puffball, I don't wanna hurt you so just get off my tail okay? Make it easy for both of us." As amusing as this whole situation was with the stubborn little puffball he really just wanted to fly down again. If she wouldn't get off then he would happily take her with him, perhaps it would make her think twice about messing with someone over three times her size.

Yes! She grabbed hold of the pink prize – long, strands of fur. Almost as soon as she latched onto his furry tail did her vengeance slide away, and she was totally ignorant to his retort to her comment. She curled her tawny body into a little body and snuggled her cheek against his comfortable tail. Extremely tactile of nature, Quix was unashamedly proclaiming her love for all things cuddly and Baratheon was proving to be yet another example of this. Thus she clung to him like a little ball, swinging along with the dragon’s swaying movements and hitting the wall when his tail neared it, though not painfully. Finally, he reached the top, and she hung there curled up, like a little porcupine, not willing to let go.

She felt her body whirl around then and the huff of the beast near her face. Curious, she released her large, furry ears first which twitched upward and quirked left and right. Then, she unveiled her petite face with tapered nose, looking upwards at him with two huge blue saucers for eyes, working her innocent charm onto the pink gembound. When he spoke, she looked towards his wings, then down towards the ground, before turning back to him with an impish grin. "Fly?” she asked. Quix counted mentally. She’d ridden on land gembounds (Fisher, Kerberos, Cancer), water gembounds (Eeya) and now…she had one more to add to her list.

"OOF!” she coughed as he shook her wildly, successfully dislodging her onto the ground by his paws. "Well, since you brought me up here” she spoke logically as he stood up and leaned over the ridge to gaze far below, "You’d better bring me down. Why are you climbing Maji Walezi anyway,” she retorted, then bumped her nose against his shoulders crudely, resulting in her bouncing two paces away. "Muscles not tough enough, pip squeak?” Oh gosh, she didn’t know where the insults were coming from. Maybe Cancer’s streak was starting to run in her veins after the trial.

Fly? Oh, he hoped this little one wasn't getting her hopes up. She'd insulted his manners and grabbed onto his tail without asking and now she wanted a ride? What did he look like, a kiddie toy? "I'm flying. Unless you have wings tucked into that fluff I don't see how you're going to." He said matter-of-factly before turning his gaze away.

Since she was on the ground Baratheon turned, perching at the edge of the ledge. He was fully prepared to launch off of the ledge and out into space. "You brought yourself since you wanted a ride on my tail, apparently." He reminded her. "Climb down. I don't have to take you anywhere." He wasn't her dad, they weren't even the same species. Not that he'd really seen anyone like himself, ever.

He was intent on ignoring her question and his muscles flexed to leap off but then he felt that little bump on his shoulder. His focus lapsed and he turned his head to her, long neck leaning down. She was the one who had tried to ram him and now she had the nerve to insult his muscles mass? What a laugh! "No offense," And everyone knew when you said that you did mean to offend, especially with his tone. "But with how teeny you are, puffball, I don't think you have the right to call anyone 'pipsqueak'. As for me not having tough enough muscles--" Here he lifted a paw and attempted to step on her back with it, not hard but just enough to pin her and keep her from moving to prove a point. "You still want to say that, little puffball?" His tone was lightly mocking but with no anger. This creature was far too tiny --and he had to admit with all her fluff she was cute, in the way that you thought a kitten was cute-- for him to take her insults seriously.

Taunts replied taunts though Baratheon’s words stung her. He pushed her a little this way and that with much ease, just as she could easily shove a pebble about. Quix found herself tottering as the dragon decided against flying suddenly and instead, he brought a paw upon a back. With a squeak, she plopped onto the ground easily, four legs splayed out on either side. Quix flailed and attempted to get up but he had the pressure that kept her belly stubbornly stuck to the floor! With a huff, she tilted her head up instead to regard this large gembound with a long, snake-like neck, blue eyes bearing indignantly into his pink ones. "You’re dealing with the coordinator of Maji Walezi. I should be coordinating your actions you idiot,” she hissed and mewled like a cat might although her claws and teeth weren’t going to sink into anything but air now. "Take me with you or, I’ll make you sick.” It was really simple to her, on Maji Walezi turf. Do as the Maji Walezians do or … face the consequences. The girl’s features changed then, from cross into a blackmailing grin. Her tail wagged a bit as her fangs poked out, cute smile conveying her pleasure at the situation. Oh yes, he was the one at her mercy.

The dragon grinned as the little foxed was pinned underneath her paw. Who was weak now? That indignant look only brought on a sickeningly smug grin. Oh yes, he could get used to this. "Oh no, a coordinator of Maji Walezi! Oh, so scary! Oh please, please, don't coordinate me!" He took his paw off of her only to fall onto the ground mockingly submissive. He stretched onto his side and gave her a look full of contempt as he curled his long tail about his serpentine body. "Oh, someone help! The tiny little fox is going to coordinate me! Whatever shall I do?" He gave a laugh as he rolled onto his back and started laughing loudly, holding his stomach with both paws in an exaggerated manner.

The dragon unfortunately didn't know that the fox actually did hold some power. He just knew that at this moment the fox was little and he was big, that was all that mattered. Finally, after his bought of laughing he rolled onto his side again with his body propped up on one furry elbow. His gaze and grin was derisive as he stared at the fox with his deep pink gaze. "Make me sick? No thanks, puff, but I don't eat tiny little foxes. I know for a fact getting a mouthful of you would make me sick!" With that he was on his back laughing again, rear legs in the air with his fore clasping his belly. Tears started to roll out of his eyes as he lay there laughing. He hadn't had a good laugh like this in... ever!

As she smiled, the pink dragon acquiesced to her wishes. He rolled onto the ground and curled his tail about his body pleading for mercy. Quix laughed and scrambled to her feet, then attempted to prop her two paws onto the dragon and looked down at him, a triumphantly evil gleam in her eyes. “You shall be nice and roll down the hill and stop disturbing others from sleeping.” Her tone was saccharine and nice, kind and patient with the tinkling of an angel. She nodded at him solemnly, glad that finally, he got the hang of how things worked here and so, she released her paws from him and took a couple of steps back.

He rolled to the side then and the fox expected him to get up and get down, only to realize that the pink furry offending piece of meat was teasing her. Propping his smug face onto his paw, he stared into her face, one eye probably as large as both of hers – no, three times of hers combined. Again! One more gembound who made eating threats like Kerberos? He needed to be taught a lesson. With a quirked brow, the fox would sit onto the ground and lift one paw to lick at as the crazy dragon resumed his laughing and rolling on the ground. "Suit yourself,” she smiled demurely, and silently cast her magic. Her horns glowed a pale blue as she grabbed hold of the itty bitties in the dragon’s tummy, and made them bounce all around inside him!
