Andromeda is a dimly-lit cave, its light-sources almost solely glowing crystals and plant life. It is mostly made up of strange, alien rock formations and its lessers are even more strange, unlike any others in the caves. The air of Andromeda is cool and not very humid, and rather than feeling eerie or empty, it feels oddly peaceful and relaxing, as if the whole room is at a comfortable rest. Despite the unsettling strangeness of the room, it is easy to let one's guard down and enjoy the stillness that it offers. Many of the rock formations and crystals are almost as tall as the room itself with glowing centers that can be seen as if looking through walls of ice; some crystals are warm to the touch while others are cold. Smaller spikes of glowing crystal can be found throughout the room as if they grow right out of the ground, and can be harvested easily. Oddly, they retain their glow forever. The ground underfoot is soft in some areas, while others are patches of crystal; the plants here seem to grow on either surface. Andromeda's ceiling is distant and unseeable, like a void where the dim light does not—or dare not—reach. |
