Appearance

Aran stands at 120cm to the shoulder, and has a short, curly coat of light brown fur. He has a white marking that spans on all four of his legs to the tops of them, and on his entire stomach, inner thighs, and under his tail. He also has white that goes from his stomach, up his neck, and then onto his chin. On his back, there is also some white spots that can be spotted. On his neck, he sports longer fur than on his body and it is considered a mane.

He is tall, with thin legs to the point they could snap with little force. Though that does not stop him as his legs are strong either way and can carry him long distances without tiring. He is also a fast runner because of it.

Aran's eyes are a dark brown color, and they don't stand out much from his other colors, being one of the last things that re noticeable about him.

His antlers, though, point out of his head, and at the base of both of them, hosts a gem green and shiny in color. It stops there, and laces through the inside of the antlers, then comes out again at each point. A chrysalis consequence has caused him to go blind, both of his eyes are a foggy nothing and it is clear he cannot see out of them. Another has made an extra eye appear on his back, unblinking, useless, also foggy and cannot be seen out of. It is perpetually looking up at the sky.

Personality

Aran doesn't remember. Or, rather, he doesn't know that he's forgotten. He knows he remembers being a child once, and hatching, but that is it. Everything else is a blank slate and it leaves him confused. Why does he have so many scars? Why can't he see? What's with the strange bird skull he has perpetually around his neck? Why does he remember how to do things, but not why? They are all questions this deer wonders, but has no idea how to get the answer to. He doesn't understand why there's so much blank in his memories, and he isn't sure he wants to find out why.

Aran is after information more than anything else, just about things in general. He is not out to learn why there's blanks in his life, instead turning to magic or other things inside the caves. Aran prides himself in somehow knowing so much magic, despite having no idea how he learned them, or when. He wants to learn more, too.

This deer wants memories, new, not old. He wants experiences to stick and wants things to keep inside of his head. To replace that blankness that he doesn't understand. He wants to meet as many gembound as possible, see as many sights as possible, this deer wants as many experiences as he can get under his belt.

Something different about Aran is that he seems more outwardly friendly than before, as if all of his sins have been wiped completely off of his shoulders. He goes out of his way to meet new gembound, make new friends, help as many as he can, when he can.

Aran has discovered a strange, glossy paper that has an image frozen in time on it. The image depicts a young human girl with wavy brown hair and green eyes; she is laughing and happy, making a crown of flowers with some other person in the photo. He is large and brawny, perhaps her father, perhaps her brother; they seem to be enjoying their time together. In the background of the photo is a weird shadow that cannot be wiped away. It seems unnatural and unnerving.

they'd found a diagram depicting several types of boats--made with treated wood, or hollowed-out logs, some wrapped in leather--and both sails and oars.



It depicted a cow being milked; beneath that was a carefully-detailed drawing, in four frames, explaining a method of churning milk into cream and butter. The cream is then shown being poured into a cup; the butter, onto what looks like a plate of food.



A small, flickering cave Light-Orb, attached by metal wires to a stone that gives off sharp zaps when touched. The zaps are not dangerous.

Aran would sense, hidden down half-buried in loam and moss, a small stone, a light and dull gray-green.
It was a soft, soapy Steatite, easily-scratched, almost more organic than rock in its appearance and nature. It held Fledgling-level magic.



Aran has found a beautiful, mottled, bright pale green < Wavellite of Pupil magic level.



The chunk of raw moissanite was scarcely larger than the deer's nose, but it hosted Pupil-level magic within. - being collected by Ru later.
