Appearance

Birch is a fitting name for the slim, cat-like creature. Much like the tree, he has lighter coloring, with darker marks on his body. He is mainly a very light tan in color, with cream-- almost white-- markings on his underside. That same pale color can be found on Birch's face, just under his eyes, as well as right on the edge of his nose. Dividing those two points on his face, one can find a stripe of sorts, it being the same color as his spotting. And on the bridge of his nose, a slightly darker reddish-brown color can be seen. On the other half of him, following the stripe down his back, you can find his tail.

This tail is fluffier than the rest of him. It has dark stripes running down it, switching between the dark brown and the light tan of his main body. Said tail is about as long as Birch himself, if not more!

He has two points of translucent selenite on the right side of his face. The mineral is white in color, and is, compared to other gems found on Gembound, unimpressive.

Personality

Birch is an... interesting Gembound, to say the least. Aware for only a short time before emerging from his Chrysalis, it was not long before he went back inside, where he grew.

He knows very little when it comes to language, or rather he can't speak very much. Birch, however, does not have low intelligence. He knows the flora and fauna of the caves, for one thing. And he considers this much more important than the majority of things.

Birch collects. The genet will preserve every plant he can, he'll take every shiny object, every remotely interesting trinket. Plants and fungi are what he is most interested in. Although, it is worth noting that there are... other... items in his collection. Skulls and bones.

His morals are a bit skewed as well. Birch is out for himself, and only himself. He sees no issues with eating a Greater Gembound, or with taking their gems or bones. In fact, he finds the idea that many Gembound wouldn't take the opportunity for a free meal appalling.
