Spring Regrowth!
Welcome to the Spring Regrowth OOC Event! For the next one month
(until April 8th), Origin will offer a few incentives for active characters--old and new!
New Life
• Give Life and Give Stone will be half-cost for the event's duration
• Newly registered characters receive double starting Magicka (ʡ100)
• New characters who are
basic Earth animals, and first-generation (not children of existing site characters) may claim a free Low Spell Borrow should they hit a post count of 10 before April 8th
Busy Bees
• Magicka rewards for posting during Spring Regrowth will be doubled
• Thread claim amounts will be raised for the event by 1.5x: ʡ30 for a Short Thread, ʡ75 for a Medium Thread, and ʡ300 for a Long Thread
New Faces
• Claimable rewards for posting ads on other sites will be upped to ʡ10 from ʡ5 for the event's duration. Be sure to follow other sites' guidelines for posting!
• Players who post at least 20 ads,
or recruit a new player to the site (we'll need your new recruit's name in Update Me or Discord's #requests channel) may claim a
second starting spell on newly registered characters. If you don't want to make a new character, you may claim a same-element, low-intensity spell for an existing character
Going forward!
April Showers
For the month of April, both magic and rain showers will create a deluge in the caves. Water spells will be cheaper for the duration for native-element characters to purchase. Transcendence will be discounted to ʡ1000 magicka for April--but the thread will need to be started
and finished within April. So get started on that path progression now if you have any Fledglings, Pupils etc. with grand plans!
May Flowers..?
May will feature our regular Origin anniversary--but with a special twist. In May, Origin will have been running for
ten years! Our usual Gacha will run (thank you CJ) and there will be some interesting in-character developments to watch out for...

Miles, newly returned and raring to go with Priscilla--but many of you may remember their older characters, like KING LIVIUS (long may they reign), the OG Oil-beast Nox, and the heroic red wolf, Kin-Kin (complete with cape).

Personal note from me to you! I know the site's been relatively quiet--many of us have real adult lives and other hobbies--but I realized I was letting some of the claims, OTMs and so forth slip!
