Appearance

As a baby, Joie will not be much to look at. Her fur will be a dirty brown, as though covered in dirt. She prefers to stand on all four of her limbs for better balance, although eventually she will learn to bound on two legs, and discover the flexibility of her fingers.

As she grows, she will become much larger. She stands fourty one inches from head to the base of her tail, with her tail she reaches almost five feet. Her legs are large and bulky, with strong muscles that can be seen through her pelt.

Her fur will change colors drastically, becoming a blue-tinted grey. It fades on the inside of her legs and arms, and on her stomach. She has a rather blocky head, with a square-ish muzzle, giving her a resemblance to a donkey. There are black streaks going from her eyes down to her jaw-line. The rims of her ears are a dark grey. She will start wearing her creations, and in the beginning these will be rather few. A vine wrapped around her wrist, a few things tucked into her pouch.

The older she gets, however, the more decorated she will become. Jewelry around her limbs and neck, paintings on her fur, and various other little things. She tends to clatter when she walks or hops due to her jewelry. Her fur is often marked with her runes, and she always has her rune tiles, or rune rocks, in her pouch.

Personality

Joie, well, she's a crafter. A creator. An inventor.

Anything she gets her hand on, she tries to improve. She tries to see if it can be added to other things to make things, even if the things that she makes aren't exactly useful. Jewelry, toys, and other such things.

However, she does try to make things that are useful. Things that act like her pouch, allowing other Gembounds to carry things. Food, important items. She loves helping others. But she also loves to make pretty things - gems that one can wear, flowers that one can wear. Paintings or etchings on cave walls and rocks.

Joie is undeniably kind. She loves helping others, and can never find it in her to be mean to anyone. Even if they are mean to her, she can only treat them kindly. Only if she, or someone else, is in mortal danger will she do anything that can be considered unkind, and even then she will feel guilty. She will attempt reparations with the one she has harmed, even if their intentions are not the best.

When she is young, she will learn the power of her legs, the strength that she carries. And she is careful to control it, to weaken herself so that others are not at risk of being harmed.

However, she is not just a creator. She is a rune reader - capable of reading old runes. She enjoys giving others predictions using her runes, and attempts to help guide them through these.
