Appearance
When he is an adult, Pavonia will be a truly massive tiger.
From the tip of his nose to the base of his tail, he will measure in at nine and a half feet. He weighs well over six hundred pounds, most of this pure muscle. A large barrel makes him appear very wide, giving him a bass-like, rumbling voice. Despite this, until he learns to photosynthesise, or the spells he needs to be able to consume plants, he will constantly appear malnurished. His fur will be dull and plain looking, and his eyes will be dull and lifeless. His movements will be sluggish, and tired. However, once he becomes able to consume solely plants, he will perk up like a watered flower. His fur will become a handsome, gleaming orange, with deep-black stripes. The white will no longer be dirty looking, instead a gleaming color like fresh snow. His eyes will lose their dullness, becoming a striking, leaf green in color. His nose will be a glistening pink, and some part of him will always be in motion, whether it is his flicking ears, or tapping tail. Massive fangs remain unused, long and deadly. He has large and wide whiskers, and paws like clubs, that are easily able to knock down most Gembounds with a single blow. Of course, he will never do such on purpose, but he will learn this by accident until he learns to control his strength. His gem is on his chest, and rather interesting looking. It is made up of what appears to be five cat's eye Actinolites, arranged in the shape of a star, or a flower. However, they are actually only one, as they are connected at the center. It stands front and center, high enough on his chest that it can always be seen. He takes great pride in cleaning it, viewing it as proof that he is meant to be a keeper of plants. Personality
Looking at Pav, one would expect him to be... well, mean and aggressive.
To anyone who knows him, however, that is hysterical. He is, perhaps, the most kind and gentle Gembound in the Caves. A true gentle giant. When walking, he is careful not to crush any plants. He hates hunting, and apologizes to all of the prey he has to kill. Even after doing so, he feels horribly guilty, and makes sure to treat their body with complete respect, and makes sure not to waste anything. He only ever has kind words for anyone, and can never find it in himself to be mean or cruel. When confronted, he tries to soothe the angered person, and will turn tail and flee if attacked. If cornered, he will simply turn his broad side to his attacker and withstand the attacks until they give up or grow exhausted. Truly, he is a giant coward. Most things frighten him, and he could never confront someone. He is quick to cry, often taking cruel, mean, or even joking words to heart. If someone has a complaint, he will go far out of his way to try and fix it, even if that means going out of his way. And, if he can't fix it, he will feel guilty and will do anything to make up for it. Pavonia despises having to kill, and regrets it every time he must to survive. He hates to the point of nearly starving himself, killing and eating only as much as he needs to survive. Even after learning Photosynthesis, he is forced to eat meat, and so he will strive to learn a spell that will allow him to consume only plants. He will develop Pica, resulting in him trying to eat non-food items: rocks, dirt, and similar things. History
