Appearance
The young Gembound known as Purity is large for his species, though average for his breed, perhaps. As a Maine Coon, he's hefty and furry, thick gray-brown fur covering his body with a dark saddle fading into stripes below. He's average for his species, and typically has well kept fur. Tufts of hair top his ears, and red coloring splashes his short muzzle in front of misty green eyes. His body is a particularly good example for anybody who'd never seen a cat. He's what one should be (at least to him)- elegant and prideful. Hopefully Purity would never find where his blue-tinted gemstone is. Luckily, it's safely encased in his ribs, pumping his blood through magical means through his body. He may experience minor pains in his chest as his body acclimates to the odd situation, but he'll soon grow used to it to the point of not feeling the pain. Purity's now gaunt, thin with the hints of muscle behind his loose skin. Twin claw-marks down the sides of his ribs seemed to have healed and are covered mostly by fur, but ridges of it are still visible when a close eye is given to them. In addition, the top of his muzzle has been ripped and he has chips of missing lip. [ Both were gained in 'like the prow of a ship' ] As an adult, Purity will stand at 15 inches at the shoulder, be about 40 inches long, and average around 13.2 pounds.  [ for later ] Reborn again in the forges of the Altar, Purity's coat as grown dark and his frame has become gaunt. Even under that long coat of his it's obvious something is... Wrong. His mint-green eyes have an unusual shine to them, and that blackness of his coat is rather... Oily, isn't it? Yes, he's changed. His gem deep within his rib-cage pulses black, inky blood through his veins, previously tanzanite and now an element of entropy. Twin claw-marks down the sides of his ribs seemed to have healed and are covered mostly by fur, but ridges of it are still visible when a close eye is given to them. In addition, the top of his muzzle has been ripped and he has chips of missing lip. [ Both were gained in 'like the prow of a ship' ] Disease has taken hold on him, and while he isn't as endurance enabled as he used to be, he holds himself to the best of his ability. He hunts, he eats, and he consumes, just with his own pace. He can still fight with his sharpened claws and gnashing teeth. When visible, his sclera is an oily black, and stains of rot tend to manifest from his nose and sides where his flesh is sensitive from the wounds. The only white on his body is mostly noticeable on his toes and chest, creating twin points below his neck. Twisting black stripes curl over his body and up his tufted ears. Purity is anything but pure. He’s an asshole, a dick, a bastard, and anything and everything. He wears the names proudly. Hell, he practically collects them at this point. His attitude stems from his lofty view of himself. To him, he could survive anything the caves could throw at him, and he isn’t afraid to flaunt that. When it comes to others in need, Purity will only stoop down to their level to help when it benefits him. Why waste time when they won’t be in your debt later? It doesn’t help that he often makes snide remarks about how the other Gembound got themself in that position. He’s a scavenger through and through, often swooping in at the end to kick others while they're down and steal from the less fortunate to survive. Unsurprisingly, the cat's a bit stuck up, concerned to the highest degree about his appearance. He has to look good for the rest of the caves, doesn't he? He can’t go around getting to know others when he doesn’t look like the spitting image of perfect. Of course, it can be a bit hard to 'pretty' yourself up without hands, but thankfully the feline has his tongue to clean up stray hairs and access to rivers and floral arrangements. He may not like swimming, but he's willing to risk it to smell halfway decent. He is interested in discovering more like him, others worthy of his time. His place in life is leeching off those more endowed with strength than him. He’s willing to do almost anything to worm his way into a safety net- everything except change himself, apparently.  Purity's Chaotic Plague will cause voidlung, a pneumonia-like virus that causes dry coughs, lung spasms, and eventually coagulated blood in the respiratory system. Necrosis may occur in the lungs or open wounds, as well. Most of the flies spawned will reside in the shroud from his Energy of the Void. Purity will be withered physically and magically for eight cycles, fading at cycle 81. It will not be cured unless he chrysalizes past cycle 76. |
