Appearance

Standing nine feet tall (or around five at the shoulder when on all fours), Titanite, or Titan, is a tangle of wooden exoskeleton draped with moss and leafy vines. Thorns erupt from his branches here and there, and two lichen-like plant structures hang beard-like from his chin and waist. Each of his three fingers are long, slender, and pointed, almost spider-like. Internal organs are soft and dark green, in appearance like vines and clusters of leaves. He generally moves slowly, gradually, but when hurried his movements are eerily jerky, almost arachnid-like, rustling with leaves.

An internal bioluminescence lights this creature, matching his six green eyes and altering in both intensity and hue with his moods. It varies from a rich emerald when he is feeling positive, to a sickly, bright yellow-green when he is feeling negative. Intense emotions bring out brighter bioluminescence, so that he might go from dull and dark to every limb shining with strong feeling.

His gemstone is, as his name suggests, a Titanite, nestled directly in the center of his chest behind the ribcage. This glows very brightly when he is casting magic.

Personality

Titanite values plant life, and feels most at home alone in the forest. Like a tree made sapient he is gradual, generally slow-moving and thinking things over a great deal before speaking, but when moved to anger, he can be brutally savage. He identifies with, and embraces, the magic of plants, bacteria, and fungi, and will spend a great deal of time weaving these into his own body. Sickness caused by these things is a blessing, of sorts: a fierce fighting back against the faster, warmer things that slither and lurk in the caves, to protect the plants and so on that Titanite identifies with. Titanite will feel somewhat lost among other Gembound, preferring to stick to himself. He is Other; he is not a beast, but a tree-creature, belonging to a slow and steady world quite unlike the warm flashes of life that others seem, to him, to show. He may be uneasy around others, leaving him a loner, or he may choose to seek certain creatures out for knowledge, though he will likely never be comfortable in groups. Experience and time will determine the rest of his values and personality.
