Appearance
Esther's body is mostly the russet red, their legs splashed in a shade of brown. But now those legs sport claws, sharp and ready to rip and tear. Those claws are the same color as their legs were before, as if nothing changed except the shape, and the new protective scales that lined each of their legs. Their tail is still white, so is under their chin, and just before their neck. Nothing of color has changed. Their mane, though, now can be seen raised most of the time. Alert, watching. Waiting for something to happen that isn't there.
The constant burning of their paws must have been what made the scales and claws appear, though not much could explain the sudden sprouting of incredibly large wings that are on their body now. Allowing for flight, and appearing to be that of a bat... or a dragon. The webbing inside of their wings is dark like the color on their legs, while the parts that connect are the same color as their fur, the ends of it ending in points while sporting a gradient the same color as their legs. For some reason, their crystal has been blacked out, turned oily. No longer the beauty it was before. The area around their tear ducts is somehow stained dark.... Also oily. Esther's entire body is capable of bioluminescent glowing, it tends to flare up more when the gembound is in a fit of strong emotion. Otherwise they can completely control it well. It is capable of any color, any pattern, and the gembound is pretty proud of this fact. Some part of their body is almost always glowing just for show, and they have a kind of joy for making their teeth and mouth glow. Inside their mouth, in their gums, contains glands that secrete venom on will. It coats their teeth and becomes an extremely dangerous weapon for fighting. It can kill even large gembound, and makes them a force to be reckoned with even if they prefer magic.  Personality
 Self Harm, Violence, Hallucination Esther is not a coward, they are not afraid to show someone who's boss, even if showing someone now means bringing more hurt than before. They can be a grump, nothing about that has changed. Still... Somewhat outwardly friendly for the most part. Esther still bites like their life depends on it, or doesn't, it really depends. Fire is still the element they love the most, it is their go-to magic for anything. They like how it feels under their scales, like how it feels when it singes their fur. Likes how it looks when it burns a bright purple against their dark eyes. They miss the warmth of it. Their fire... It's changed. It no longer bears the warmth that it should, instead burning cold. Taunting them making fun of them. As if to laugh that the gembound may never feel the warmth of their own flames ever again. On top of that, they seem to catch ablaze at random times, seemingly for no reason. It hurts, of course it does, but Esther doesn't seem to mind. They hear voices, see things. Something is wrong with their head. The simplest brush of feeling against any part of their body sometimes brings pain, so crushing that it prevents the gembound from moving for intervals of time. The whispering is trying to tell the gembound something. They know it. Esther doesn't hurt on purpose unless they have to. The urges in their head are instead turned against themselves rather than those around them. It hurts, but it's better than hurting the innocent. History
