IT WON'T HURT HALF AS MUCH AND I'LL BEG FOR YOU TO JUST TELL ME SOMETHING The colours black and blue describe Saosin down to the very fibers of his being, for he is dark, enigmatic, oceanic, and vast. He will grow to a size similar to one of his fathers, the dolphin; reaching from nose to tail, Saosin will achieve an adult size of seven feet five inches, standing four feet high at the shoulder and weighing in at a muscular one hundred seventy pounds. In a manner more similar to a seal, his fur is short and coarse, with a touch like velvet.
However, one will find that Saosin shares more of his looks with his other father, the lycanthrope. His head is the strong shape of a canine's with a narrow snout and thin, hairless ears usually folded backwards. His front limbs, instead of flippers, are powerful arms with four dexterous fingers and a thumb. His hind legs are short and designed for swimming rather than walking, with five webbed toes across a flat, wide foot. A long torso is lined with muscle and thin blubber, keeping him warm in the cool waters, and following through to a thick tail dividing into two broad flukes. Upon his spine sits a squat, long dorsal fin. Primarily, he is a dark, warm charcoal hue that allows him to blend with the shadows of the underwater, but only where the light is devoid. His body is shades of grey and black, darker dapplings running along his back and tail, up his neck, to his forehead. Lighter shades colour his underside, divided from the dark in an opaque and bold contrast, while the same colour re-emerges as stripes on his fin and flukes. Blue accentuates the deepness of the hybrid's colouration. As an oceanic cobalt, it is present in both is esoteric gaze and the glimmering sapphire embedded just above his collar bone. aesthetics

antagonistic Having inherited a nasty streak from his lycanthrope father, Saosin comes off as difficult to get along with at first. He chooses to provoke and antagonize others, testing them to see how far he can push, gauging for a response. He considers himself a success if he is able to make someone else lose control, and prides himself on his ability which, by contrast, is in keeping his own cool. Saosin can be considered something of a bully as well, and will consistently treat certain Gembounds poorly if he decides that he is not particularly fond of them. crooked moral compass Early on in life, Saosin will find much of his amusement and faith drawn from the darker leanings of existence. He enjoys torment and cruelty, but only to a minor degree; there is a desire deep within him to emerge the hero, beloved and highly regarded, that he doesn't completely understand. He tells himself that he does not care for the opinions of others and will often act out in retaliation against them, but as it boils down to a line drawn between pulling others towards him and pushing them away, he will behave altruistically. This behavior is typically a last effort, a fleeting consideration and a decision made in the knick of time. He doesn't disdain himself for his altruistic actions, but he will argue against it, insisting he acted for entirely selfish reasons - which is partially true. passionate Saosin will lie to himself, fool himself into thinking that he is ruled by logic, when in reality he acts largely for his heart. He tends to feel incredibly powerfully about certain subjects and will fight until the day he dies for a cause, be it good or bad (but mostly good). He will voraciously cling to those he is fond of and relentlessly push away the things he despises. This leads him to be very stubborn, and very insistent. It is difficult to win an argument against him, as Saosin is more likely to exit the situation than admit defeat. What makes his passion difficult to uncover is his consistently cool and even temperament, casting him in an almost indifferent light. But rest assured, Saosin is driven by his beliefs and what he favors, and he will fight tenaciously until he comes out victorious. emotionally estranged It can easily be said that Saosin struggles to stay in touch with his emotions. While he is capable of feeling, he rarely knows how to act appropriately, and will respond based on what he finds to be most beneficial to him at the time. If his emotions are begging for pleasure where he must distance himself, then Saosin will find distance rather than satisfaction. If tragedy dictates a sadness where he believes such a feeling will hinder him, then he will stifle it and present himself as heartless rather than vulnerable. The only emotion that Saosin seems to be in line with is anger: for as collected as he tries to be, once that rage pierces his control, he follows it regardless of where it takes him. It is often an unwelcome surprise to see how destructive Saosin can be when he loses his temper. selectively soft Though Saosin delivers a tough, cutting exterior, his extreme fondness of select Gembounds will lead him to be surprisingly soft towards them. Saosin will pretend that this isn't the case, and sometimes he will go to great lengths to make someone believe he doesn't really like them, but in the depths of his heart he has grown desperately attached and seeks acceptance and love from those he befriends.
