RE: Event: Cetus Gobble Gobble - Party Master TO - Dec 06 2015 The turkeys are still in a frenzy. No words can be made out. The lizard struck forward, landing harshly on one of the birds, mortally wounding it, though it is not yet dead. The other turkeys jump and flap around wildly until they spot the black cat. Assuming he is the one who began the assault, two of the birds flock towards him aiming to peck at his head, though, in their panic, it could easily be dodged. @talat RE: Event: Cetus Gobble Gobble - Vicktor - Dec 06 2015 He understand them? Nonsense, the bat is probably making out jumbled could be words through all this. That was until they spoke of wanting to go home. A deep twang shot through the jaguar's chest, they just wanted to go home. "They just want to go home?" Before much else could be said, two of the frenzied turkeys began to flock to him. A look of confusion as to why flashed over him. Until, they were coming in for an attack. Why he panicked, he wasn't sure? I mean, he helped take on a DRAGON! Got a few of its scales even! But he was afraid back then too...he still was young. In all the panic and confusion via the turkeys he tripped over his own legs. Falling flat to the ground before them. This wasn't going as all as planned.
RE: Event: Cetus Gobble Gobble - Ghanyarah - Dec 06 2015 With the wounded turkey pinned under his weight, Ghanyarah had its neck between his great, powerful jaws. He was too seconds from snapping it for good and claiming his delicious new meal when the bat had suddenly flown out of nowhere, fluttering around his head, imploring them to stop and listen for a moment. The komodo froze in place, keeping the turkey down while his sunset eyes struggled to follow the bat. "Whaf are you falking afout?" He scowled with his mouth full of turkey neck. They can talk? They want to go home? Since when! They were tasty delicious lesser gembounds, they were meant for eating! Where they not? He narrowed his eyes slightly, then peered down at the turkey. Ghanyarah met its gaze, beady eyes glossed over and wide with fear - as though begging for freedom. Oh, but... he was so hungry... and he was pretty sure he'd already broken all of its bones... Maybe he could spare it... Except in the frenzy, two of the turkeys had suddenly attacked the jaguar, and Ghanyarah distractedly whipped his head to look - SNAP! Oh... woops. Ghanyarah spat the turkey free, but he'd already severed its spinal cord. "Hah! Err. Sorry." The komodo puffed. "It's fine. I'm sure they won't notice. It's fine." Ghanyarah reassured quickly, dragging the turkey carcass into the bushes in the hope that the turkeys would be too distracted by Vicktor to notice their dead comrade. @party master TO RE: Event: Cetus Gobble Gobble - Talat - Dec 06 2015 ![]() Eugh, Tal'at hoped that Yarah was right about them not noticing that, y'know, one of them was dead. The bat shivered at the crunching sound, feeling the heartbeat of the turkey in his grasp sputter and fail. Tal'at knew the thing was completely dead, and there was little point in chasing after the overgrown lizard and berating him for following his instincts. The only thing he could do was convince the rest of them that they would be fine and no one else had to die. The bat fluttered over to Vicktor, clumsily landing on the now-grown leopard's head, and didn't even bother to say hi. Instead, he spread out his wings and frantically tried to talk back to the turkeys. It helped the Vicktor was a puddle of fur who was too scared to be a threat, either. Hopefully Yarah stayed well away so they could help the rest of the birds.
going out a different path lead by a beating heart RE: Event: Cetus Gobble Gobble - Party Master TO - Dec 15 2015 The turkeys pecked at the cat who failed to dodge their attacks. This was going well until a small snap echoed in the caves. As the turkey beneath the lizard choked out its last call, it was cut off. Its heart stopped with what sounded like a loud thud. Could that have really been the turkey? However, after that snap and that thud, the caves were quiet. The birds stopped attacking. They knew. Their heads all slowly turned in the direction of the lizard as it scooted the body into the bushes, "Gou...?" one echoed out, "Gou gou?" called another. Then, in one swift movement, all the turkeys began to run towards the lizard, calling and shrieking out. They only got one or two steps before they were stopped again, this time, by Tal'at. He gobbled at them awkwardly and they tilted their heads. One turkey- the biggest- looked between the bat and the lizard, trying to decide which path to pursue. The turkeys are indecisive. They know about their fallen comrade, but are also dumb and may easily forget about it if someone can communicate with them. @talat @ghanyarah @vicktor RE: Event: Cetus Gobble Gobble - Vicktor - Dec 20 2015 The bat offered no hello, but Vicktor understood it was there regardless. With his wings outstretched he called to the turkeys, luckily all seemed to stop. Glances darting from Tal'at and to Ghanyarah again. Well Vicktor was confident if they attacked again another one would go missing. He could only hope that Tal'at could communicate with them, so they could find their home and be on their way.
@talat @ghanyarah RE: Event: Cetus Gobble Gobble - Talat - Jan 05 2016 ![]() Right, uh, where was their home then? Tal'at "stared" blankly at the birds as they turned to him, his blind orb face just dumbly hesitating for a moment. Afraid he might lose his chance, he started to squeak out more and more. He had no idea. He was grasping at straws.
going out a different path lead by a beating heart RE: Event: Cetus Gobble Gobble - Party Master TO - Jan 06 2016 With the continued efforts by the bat, most of the turkeys had their attention on the tiny creature. One stepped towards him slowly, then another, their heads tilting, "Gou gou home? Gou home?" They would question, though only the bat would understand. They did not understand his words "Follow me", but he spoke of home and if he spoke about home, the birds were willing to follow him. The birds are ignoring everyone but the bat! Take em home! We can wrap this up within the next post if you guys choose to exit. @talat @ghanyarah @vicktor RE: Event: Cetus Gobble Gobble - Ghanyarah - Jan 09 2016 The whole time, Ghanyarah was staring wide-eyed at the turkey brigade, extending his limbs with alarm. He stood in front of the brush that he had hidden the turkey carcass under, hoping that his bulk would hide it from the turkeys for the most part. They didn't seem all that intelligent, but... he also shouldn't underestimate them when there was a whole horde of them, especially since they hadn't hesitated to attack the jaguar cub. And they had charged at him, prompting Ghanyarah's nerves to jump, his eyes to bulge even more, panic rising as he attempted to call forth his magic to defend himself. But they didn't make it very far, instead stopping. The biggest one looked between him and Tal'at, and Ghanyarah shot a worried glance over at the bat. But Tal'at knew what he was doing. The bat reassured them, offering to take them home with words that Ghanyarah himself didn't understand. And just like that, the brigade welcomed his guidance, deigning to follow the bat to lead them back to whatever place called them home. Tal'at requested the feline to help, and Ghanyarah hung back a moment, waiting until they had started their departure before backing away into the bushes. With Tal'at and the cat busy leading the turkeys home... Ghanyarah could reap the rewards of this hunt. He snirked and grabbed the turkey leg, dragging its carcass away.
