RE: [Quest] To make an end is to make a beginning. - Game Master Talamasca - Dec 28 2017
The storm writhes above their heads, undulating like the sea as magicka coursed through it and collected. The center - the eye - shifted and flowed. To the gembound staring up there would be no answers, yet when the creature turned its attention to the cave itself and studied the stones, it became clear that a large force had pulsed through the caves from the direction of Tunnel I.

((pretty short for me, but oh well)) RE: [Quest] To make an end is to make a beginning. - Kin-Kin - Jan 01 2018 Kin-Kin raised her muzzle to sniff the air as she drew closer to the throng of Gembounds. She looked up towards the storm for a good, long while, seeing of, now that she was closer, she could figure out anything else. Her glow cast long shadows across the earth, and she paused to flex her aching jaws. The more she looked at the storm, the less she felt she knew about it, but as she looked around, she found her gaze drawn towards tunnel I. Kin-Kin wondered if that was the source, but she couldn't see much else to back it up. She gritted her teeth together for a moment, before casting her gaze about her, remembering the small cub she'd also been escorting. Kin-Kin turned and began to follow her footsteps back along the path towards where she'd dropped the pup, having wasted no time moving into the thick. She sniffed the air for a trace of their scent with impatient verve. No matter what happened, they couldn't be far away. " speech " @Kera RE: [Quest] To make an end is to make a beginning. - Kera - Jan 05 2018 There had only been a single whine as Kera was dropped directly onto her injured leg and was then promptly abandoned by Kin-Kin. In her mind, it did not particularly matter. She'd catch up eventually. Stumbling back onto all fours, Kera looked up for a moment, longingly, at the storm overhead before she paced forward, meeting back up with Kin-Kin and heading up the path in a relative silence. She only spoke as she approached the other gembounds, raising her voice a bit. "What's going on?" She half-asked, half-demanded. "That storm blew up a gem. It's dangerous, what do we do about it?" Aries stared up in concern at the writhing tempest. In all his cycles in Polaris, he had never seen anything like it. Was it just him, or this storm seem alive. He turned his attention the congregation of Gembounds the anomaly had attracted. By they sounds of it, they knew just as little as he did. Aries approached the group, but stayed on the fringes. He observed the storm once more, face strained with determination. What had cause this storm, and more importantly, what did this mean for Polaris? As he watched the strange storm, his attention became drawn to the direction of Tunnel I. Thoughts... She couldn't see any answers from the storm itself however what she did notice from the cave walls that a large force had pulsed through here recently. After noticing this she inspected the walls more and she was quickly able to determine that the pulse came from tunnel I. She gave a wide smile then looked to the bat again. "Yes, there was something that pulsed through here and from inspection it looks like it came from that tunnel over there. I don't think we'll find much more information on the storm here." Cecei pointed her wing towards Tunnel I, and looked to the back again to make sure he understood. She looked to the storm once more before turning her attention back down Tunnel I. The storm writhes above the heads of the gathered gemlings, and nothing can be done about it. Arcing jolts of energy flow throughout the depths as they roll and mix, spreading across Polaris. Already the storm has affected aspects of the cave - nothing more can be done here, but perhaps one of the other areas of the room can be of use.
This segment of the quest has now finished.
To continue, participants are invited to investigate one of the following locations. Important note: Although the game is set with liquid time, for the purposes of this quest-line, characters cannot be in two places at once. Please include an exit thread when moving between locations! The Crystal River: It looks as if someone's meddling has caused the river to change it's course! The Dam: Where have all the golem gone? The Generator: The storm is reaching for the generator! That much magicka versus that little mechanism can't be good! The Spire: Since the storm has moved throughout Polaris, it seems as if this is the only safe place left! RE: [Quest] To make an end is to make a beginning. - Zeno - Jan 06 2018
