RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Linea - Apr 27 2020

The nearby 'whump's alarmed her, briefly, and her ears flicked up to trace the sounds of... What'd happened? Hm.

But, when the piece of... Something, illuminated, her gaze drew down and she inspected whatever this was. Hm. A chain? She held it up in one claw, turning it over and watching as it reflected her green glow, the silver of it like a beacon in the dark. Well, someone had left this? That must mean someone was here.

She wrapped the piece around a wrist like a snap-bracelet as she cleared her gummed up throat. "Hello? I believe you dropped something. Someone?" She called hesitantly, stepping around in investigation.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Aran - Apr 27 2020

It was dark, spooky, and Aran wanted to know why. If something strange was inside, he could easily protect himself from some things using the horns on his head. (he also had magic but it wasn't really,,, for hurting anything). Either way, he moved through the darkness to inspect the place.

Maybe he should have prepared to get lost. But he didn't.

Aran is investigating A2

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Deli - Apr 27 2020

Deli
As soon as they saw the silver, they reached down with a snicker, picking up the precious metal and holding it up close to look at it. It was off-color in the darkness and fake light that their eyes created to see, but it was definitely silver. Perhaps that would be useful sometime, who knows!

They slipped it into their bag as well and continued, magic persisting in their eyes to help them see.

Deli is searching F1

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Shengxiao - Apr 27 2020

he freezes, hands grasping around and bringing up the pendant closer to his face for a hopefully better look. "ooooh... pretty!" he giggles, twirling it around on his figer before it smacks him in the face. "ow."

he hangs it on one of his horns for convenience, hopping around some more as he surveyed the area again. he giggled as he'd occasionally bump into a rock or person, but kept doing his own thing. he was in his own lil world over here

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Pride - Apr 27 2020

He flinched--he'd thought it looked like the Collector in a brief flash of vision, but it couldn't have meant any real harm. A few plucked hairs--if it had struck him, surely his stored Repel magic would have blasted it away. No, he was safe-... he hoped.

The white stag stepped forward, hesitating.

"Excuse me-?" he called, tentative; "Collector--was that you?"

Ahh, and this-... orb; what was this? He could barely make it out in the near pitch black. It looked like simple glass, though he tested it to be certain.

Pride isn't exploring any more Square™ currently - just testing if the crystal ball is magicky, if he even succeeds

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Masquerade - Apr 27 2020

Masquerade

As it stands, Masquerade arrives rather late to the party.

Not that he knows there's one to begin with; all he knows is he's wandered awfully far from the cave big sister Damask usually is, and he hasn't seen her in an awful long while and he misses her but he doesn't think this tunnel with the bright lights and the green everywhere is it.

And then he sees the darkness, and his current thoughts of family are quickly shoved aside in a burst of childish wonder, to be replaced by a much more pressing thought of 'what is THAT?!'

And, of course, as is the best way to explore anything unknown and potentially dangerous, he runs right into the black, head tilting and bobbing this way and that as he searches the endless blanket of black for… who knows what! He's just here because he's curious and he's never seen darkness like this before and it's cool.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Elias - Apr 27 2020

Elias is exploring B6

Elias was the kind of gator to explore places that he had not seen before. So, somehow he ended up in a place so dark but his eyes still offered coverage for the place. His species masters at seeing in the dark. However, just having the place be clear enough for him to see. It didn't mean that he knew what he was doing.

Exploring was fun, though, so he was going to be sure to get a good look before he continued. And if he'd been there before, then the darkness was throwing him off.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Astéri - Apr 27 2020

Astéri
seek what sets your soul on fire

"Vivi? Hunter? Dad?!"

The sound of Astéri's padded footfalls as he runs into the black in search of his family are quickly overshadowed by the sound of his voice as he calls for his family. Dad is tall and strong and can use big sticks as weapons, and his sisters are small and vulnerable to whatever might lurk—he doesn't want to be separated from any of them in whatever this weird… thick darkness is.

Concerned, he reaches for his magic, intending to ignite his footsteps in brief flashes of red-hot orange as he goes, trying to see if he can spot Dad—or, indeed, any of his family—in the darkness. Whether it fires at all is one question, whether it even pierces the dark is another; Astéri isn't thinking too hard about either, distracted as he is by the topic of family members going missing in the dark.

Sure, they'll probably be safe as long as they find each other, and the darkness doesn't look too threatening, just immensely dark in a way even the night-time isn't—but Astéri remembers all too well what happened the last time he was in an unnaturally dark room.

There were bugs. And monsters. And monster bugs, that proceeded to get ripped apart by the aforementioned monster.

So he gets to work searching the area for his dad and/or his two sisters, hoping that they don't get attacked by big, nasty bugs while he's busy trying to find his way through the oppressive darkness.

"Speaking!" Thinking.

[ Astéri is investigating C3 ] (also i forgot to roll Smolder Step but it's FINE )

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Orthoclase-Alpha - Apr 27 2020

damn u hoes movin fast

So.

It was in a hole now.

Alpha twisted and turned uncomfortably in its confines, stalking around in a circle like a caged tiger; thinking. There were a number of life signs above, and it could see - at least - that the walls of this trap weren't completely solid. If it just dug a little...

Delta could just fly out of here, so it wasn't too concerned about its sibling.

It was just a matter of getting itself out.

The orthoclase's claws dug into the walls, forming a veritable pile on the other side of the hole to climb out of. It twisted on the spot to check how high it'd accumulated, and suddenly - "AAA - AAA - AAA - AAAAAAAAUGH!"

Eight feet of kaiju had slipped and fallen a little bit, subsequently activated a surge of magic, and started ricoheting up the hole at increasingly concerning velocities before finally careening straight up. It twisted mid-air, wide-eyed like a cat, landing on a shelf of moss-covered stone and nearly ripping its claws off trying to prevent the next bounce.

It wheezed and... it was going to stay here for a moment, standing white-knuckled on a rock.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Vivilene - Apr 27 2020

i need someone to look into my eyes and tell me

Vivilene nodded, more to herself, as Attikias was freed. It was still dark; she could hear, however, a crowd of others starting to come into the tunnel. Was everyone interested to see what was scattered in here?

Bleat. Hopefully no one would bump into each other in the dark. She could hear Asteri coming into the dark as well. There was a flash of red, hot fire-- definitely Asteri --but she quickly realised that he might not be able to see them.

Vivilene shook herself out. She gathered magic towards herself, focusing into her own hands, until there was a jolt of pain that went through her wrists. She cried out, first in shock and then again with the realisation of the agony. She rather suddenly didn't want to be here.

She wasn't glowing either, per se-- but thin, painful lines on her wrists shimmered with silver light.

Confused, hurt, and unsure what was doing on, Vivilene did what she did best: she cried, quietly, seeping down onto her stomach and wrapping the silky shawl tighter around herself.

"girl you know you gotta watch your health"

Vivilene is crying on B2.
