RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Attikias - Apr 27 2020

He began to pat himself off as Vivilene made her own soft little noise. "It's okay, starshine," he cooed with a hand on her shoulder. "Let's go find-"

His head twisted at Asteri's call. "Asteri! We're here!" He cupped his hands around his mouth, and Vivilene was gone- ah boy. "Wait- Vivi?" She'd wandered off...

Taking in a deep breath to calm himself, he put his hand into his bag to retrieve the orange-y tourmaline he'd bought from Dread. 'Alright. Just... Give us some light, here,' he thought out to himself, holding it up as he pushed light to it.

It flared, brightly, with a dull orange light, and he held it up like a torch to see his surroundings. Aaaand, Vivilene was gone, again.

"Alright, uh- just stay safe out there, guys!" There were other people here too, right?

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Yew - Apr 27 2020

Yew is searching D1

A voice sounded nearby, and the hybrid froze, eyes going wide. She reached for her magic, reached for the plants, felt some being stepped on, realized there was some near her, and yipped, hurrying away and following what flickering she got from the plants, though it faded quickly, stretching her wings out to try and make sure she wouldn't whack into anything, plopping down onto her butt when she thought she was far enough away, intending on catching her breath before reaching out with her magic again.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Morpho - Apr 27 2020

Morpho listened as Pip explain everything that had happened on their little adventure. "Cats?" He echoed. He hadn't met many other gembound, other than Pip, and the fuzzy thing with weird eyes. Did most of them have weird, wet eyes and lots of fuzz? It was beginning to look like that. If there had been more light, he would've taken stock of the other gembound in the tunnel, but at the moment it was impossible.

He watched the ground carefully as he walked, not wanting to step on Pip- or anyone else- by accident. He could hardly see anything through the dark, though. Only the occasional glow of a bio-luminescent gembound or a spell. His legs tapped lightly against the ground before taking a step, occasionally causing a pebble to skitter across the floor.

Morpho jumped slightly when something cold and strange suddenly touched his foot, but quickly realized it must've been the weird thing Pip found. He tapped it with his other foot, feeling around for it's shape. It felt tiny, at first, but seemed to grow until it was the perfect size to slip onto his foot. It felt a bit weird, but it made a nice tap-tap sound when he took a step.

Morpho jumped at the sound of crashing and yelling, though it didn't sound nearby. He nodded in response to Pip's question, but then realized it was too dark to see. "Yep." He replied, somewhat belatedly. Pip was small, and quiet, and hard to hear over the sounds of other gembound echoing around the room, but he thought he heard her scamper off in the direction of the yelling. He followed her the best he could, but ended up getting a little lost in the pitch-black tunnel.

"Spoken Words."

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Pip - Apr 27 2020

Pip never found the gembound in trouble. She called to see if she could find them. If she could help, but they either didn't hear her, or she wandered away from their direction. She'd moved in their direction, Pip knew for a fact. But there was nothing there.

That is, however, until Pip's foot touched something soft. She was excited at first that it was one of those not-tree gembound covered in fuzzy stuff. But it was cold to the touch. She picked it up with her claws. It was a bit large, but she could hold it! Perhaps she was supposed to put it on? She wasn't sure what a long strip of soft thing was for. Maybe it protected you! Made you look like you had a long tail!

She wrapped it around her chest, although with claws and non existent joint mobility most of it trailed off her abdomen and onto the ground. Yes, this was probably accurate though! She should tell Morpho about this! It was then she realized she didn't know where Morpho was. Pip tapped her face nervously and set out to look for him.

Pip is searching B3!

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Game Master CJ - Apr 27 2020

Alpha and Delta have escaped their trap by themselves.

(E4) Linea has discovered a pair of friendship bracelets. They are woven with pale yellow and pale pink soft, but sturdy, thread. They will resize to fit the wearer.

(A2) Aran has discovered a thin-banded copper ring. This copper ring is set with an assortment of transparent dark pink gems.

(F1) Deli has discovered a fledgling datolite gemstone. It is in the shape of a small, but sharp, fang. It can be revived without fail.

(C1) Shengxiao has discovered a light-weight steel chain with thin links. It is strong despite how brittle it may appear.

(F5) Masquerade has discovered The Visitor. Again, it waits in the darkness until the gembound comes close enough, then reaches out to pluck a feather. A momento, perhaps? It stuffed the feather into a random page of its notebook and peeked its head out of the shadows to look at him: the young pigeon might catch a glance at its skull-like face, seemingly resembling a lion's skull. Its red, glowing eyes—they are no more than ghastly lights, it has no eyeballs—flick across the tiny body and then it is sucked again into the shadows. In the darkness, the crinkling of a plastic bag can be heard as it leaves behind a prize for the creature. The bag, upon inspection, is about fourteen inches in length and has strange, vivid coloring of orange and green splashed around its surface. Depicted on the front is some kind of word in strange, white runes—a lettering unknown to the gembounds. If they could read, it would say: Party Size Cheddar Jalapeno Cheetos. The bag is puffy and feels like it is filled with air and strange objects. If opened and consumed, the gembounds might find themselves feeling sick.

(B6) Elias has discovered a fledgling kornerupine gemstone. It is in the shape of a small, short horn. It can be revived without fail.

(C3) Astéri has discovered a pupil mimetite gemstone. Its shape loosely resembles a feather. It can be revived without fail.

(B2) Vivilene, while crying, has discovered a bracelet. This gold bracelet has a pointed crystal ovoid with a mini black rose held eternal in the gemface. It is designed in a style evocative of Gothic aesthetics.

(F2) Attikias has discovered an emerald amulet. The gem itself holds no life but is intricately faceted, an oval shape bound in sterling silver, the edges of which are a floral pattern like ivy.

(D1) Yewberry has discovered a hooded cloak. It is a pale green-blue in color and made from dyed cotton.

(C5) Morpho has discovered a salmon-pink colored silk piece. It can be fashioned however they may like to wear it.

(B3) Pip has discovered the Visitor. It had shifted into her space as it left behind the strange bag, careful not to step on her, but curious to observe her still. It crouched down to see; it did not seem it could take a piece of her, as she might be too small and delicate. Instead, it pulled a small tube-like item from its sleeve and placed it down before her, illuminating the opposite end so that she might see the wonders of what was inside. It was a kaleidoscope. The Visitor twisted the object while maintaining the soft light to give Pip the full experience, noting any reaction she had. And then, just as it had before, it vanished back into the darkness, leaving the kaleidoscope behind.

It had been discovered too many times. It manifested away from the veil, peering through the shadows at those still inside, marked down a few more things in its notebook, and then waited from afar to make any more observations.

(Characters are still free to discover treasures, but the Visitor is no longer available to be found in the grid!)

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Orthoclase-Alpha - Apr 27 2020

Breaths steadying out again, the orthoclase swung its head towards where Delta'd fluttered down next to it. A low growl came out, but then a grunt, "let's split up." It, apparently, could get out of any hole through unknown, spooky magicks.

Without waiting to hear what the garnet had to say about it, Alpha trundled off of the rock, skulking through the dark with its head lowered to the ground to use its eyes like spotlights, sniffing here and there. It kept on high alert, of course, for any shouting little cat-hybrids, but it was focused on... finding something that wasn't a trap.

Alpha is checking E3 by itself!

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Cain - Apr 27 2020

Garnet-Delta had a great idea: adventuring forth into Polaris, the heart of the caves that connected to everything else. It had been a perfect plan.

But like all perfect plans, involving Alpha had been both a good idea, and a terrible, horrible mistake. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" It screamed as Alpha fell into the pit, spreading its wings out and flailing limbs, tail ruddering in the air to make sure it didn't land on its face.

And then, just as Delta got its wings under it and managed to scramble out of the hole, it heard the horrible sound of quills rattling through the air.

Alpha couldn't fly.

Alpha shouldn't fly.

Delta's pupils, magically enhanced, tracked Alpha as the huge beast bounced into the air. It's pelt quivered as it laid clinging to the edge of the pit, fur puffed up in terror. Since when could it do THAT?

The Orthoclase's gruff suggestion to split up was met with a nod, and then, remembering Alpha couldn't see it, it yowled after the big lug, "You got it! I'll screech I need you!" Which... It wouldn't, anyway. The cat-alien flicked its tail and eyed up the individuals it could see through the darkness, and streaked toward a patch that remained untouched, investigating and staying low and out of sight, for now.

It seemed there were a lot of gembounds drawn here. Potential dangers. Its ears swiveled as its ruby eyes caught every scrap of movement in the darkness.

delta has split off to C6

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Calypso - Apr 27 2020

Calypso is searching A3

Oh my cat a SHINY.

The cat's paw knocked a gemstone, and her eyes went wide. It gleamed, and she fell in love in moments, smacking it with her paw and sending it skidding, dropping onto her belly, wiggling her butt, and pouncing after it, grabbing it in her paws before smacking it again, dropping, and leaping.

Over and over she did this, until, suddenly, hearing another voice, she froze, no, no! they'd take her shiny! And lunged to grab it in her teeth, puffing up and hunching over it, hissing loudly.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Aran - Apr 27 2020

Aran blinked at what he found. Despite there being no light, something was glittering out of the corner of his eyes. Scraping at the ground, he could see that it was circular and would fit on his antlers if he was able to pick it up properly. Lowering his head, Aran attempted to move around his antlers until he could feel it around one of them.

When he could, the Barasingha picked up his head and the ring fell down the rest of the way and found its self on an area that it would stay. He would find water to take a better look at it later.

Continuing on, the Barasingha explored some more.

He is exploring E1

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Elias - Apr 27 2020

Exploring F4

Elias found... something within the darkness. It was blue and looked like a gemstone- so, he picked it up. Elias made sure to not break it and keep it with him, but also moved to go to another area. He was going to go back to a place covered in water later, but for now he wanted to figure out what was going on with this place.

He moved somewhere else, still looking for anything notable. If he was finding gemstones he was bound to find something else, right? Maybe that would be the case... maybe not. Either way, Elias felt now was not the time to be leaving.
