RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Yew - Apr 27 2020

Her paw clung to something, and she squawked, poking it with her beak. Something-fabric? Well, it was dark, so she decided it couldn't be too dangerous, could it?

Picking it up with her beak, thankfully long enough that she could hold it away from her, she reached out for the plants, using them to see where the other Gembound were, and bolted for Polaris, stepping on the cloak and tripping beak over tail-feathers with a bird-like shriek, before bailing holding her head high so the cloak trailed over her head like a kite.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Attikias - Apr 27 2020

"Asteri?" He called again and again for his children, surprised that even more had come by- did he have too many children? No. His heart was simply too big.

He shook his head and raised up the gem higher. "Vivi- oof!" Hunter, his little furry daughter, ran into his leg and latched on. "Hey, bud, it's alright. I'm here." He reached down to pet Hunter's head for a second before stepping around, his daughter hot on his heels. "Vivilene should be around here- just stick close to me and we can get out."

When his foot nudged against something that lit up, he leaned down to investigate, bringing his flickering light closer. "Oh-" he held it up, investigating. "Maybe this is like a little treasure chest?" He held the gem like he was on the phone while he held the amulet with both hands. "Huh."

It was here he noticed Hunter's scarf, and things began to click together. "I guess this is a treasure trove. C'mon, let's find some more things!" And off he set, tail flicking high in excitement as he led the way with his firey rock.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Linea - Apr 27 2020

As she kept on in the dark, her ears twitching at every noise, her feet stepped on an unsurprising soft thing. No, two soft things? She bent down again, mandibles working in thought as she picked up these, as well. Their candy colors resized as she turned them over and found they easily slid onto her other leg.

'Really?' Her muzzle wrinkled. "Who's leaving this stuff around?" She called out into the dark, turning about. A grumble rumbled from her chest as she continued in her search for who was responsible for this. "I have some of your stuff! Orthoclase-Alpha, are you finding anything?" She could just barely see its green glow matching her's in the distance before it faded into the black.

Egh. Well, she'd try this direction, maybe?

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Shengxiao - Apr 27 2020

he smiled as he grabbed onto the chain, whipping it about playfully. he tangled it in his fingers for a moment, at one point even licking them, because metal tastes nice. he hung the chains around his horns aswell along with the pendant, humming as he continued to search and bound around the area with carelessness

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Pip - Apr 27 2020

Pip couldn't see still. It was starting to make her nervous. Pip's ears picked up the shuffle of feet. She stayed still. Fearful of something much larger in the dark, come to eat her. But instead of teeth and growls, there was a soft glow. Shapes illuminated in sparkling shifting colors. Awed and forgetting her fear, Pip stepped closer to the kaleidoscope, observing the bright shapes and patterns.

It was unlike anything shed seen in her cycle of life. She felt it was something special. She stayed there, grasping the kaleidoscope and watching, making soft oohs and ahhs as the patterns shifted in the light. Pointing out shapes and colors she liked. And then the kaleidoscope was dropped by whatever had been holding it. The glow faded, leaving a dark metal tube Dissapointment flooded her.

"Hey wait, come back, whoever you are! That was cool! Ill be quiet next time! I wanna see the shapes again! "

But there was no reply. Pip picked up the kaleidoscope, grasping the large metal tube between two hands. Confused and alone, Pip set out again. This time she had a goal in mind. Find whoever made the glowy stick and make them make it glow again.

Pip is going to D6 and she wont desist

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Astéri - Apr 27 2020

Astéri
seek what sets your soul on fire

The faint glimmer of—something catches Astéri's eye, and he takes a moment from searching blindly through the darkness to look down at said something.

It's a shiny, yellow feather, at first glance, but as he goes down to sniff it, it smells considerably not like a bird and more considerably like a rock.

Oh, pretty…

Something considerably brighter than a gemstone gleams out of the corner of his eye, echoed by the sound of Dad's voice, and Astéri pauses his examination of the gemstone to raise his head and call back to Attikias, "Dad! I'm coming!"

He spares one more glance towards the gemstone before grasping it gently between his teeth and running off towards the bright, firey light Attikias seems to be holding.

As it stands, even with the beacon he's holding, Astéri nearly crashes headfirst into Attikias's leg. "Hi Dad! Hi, sis!" he says, voice muffled through the gemstone gripped in his teeth.

He falls into step with them for a few moments as he rambles, "I found this cool yellow feather except it's not a feather it's a gemstone and it's really cool here you go—" nosing open the flap of Attikias' satchel to deposit the shiny 'feather'.

"Where's Vivi?" he asks, suddenly acutely aware of the lack of the little deer's presence at his side. "Is she okay?"

He has to go search for her! He knows she gets scared a lot, and the dark probably makes it more scary, and what if there really is a big bug monster in the dark and they just haven't found it yet—

—Hunter will be okay with Dad; Astéri knows that he has to help find Vivi, too.

Without giving either of them a chance to say anything in response or stop him, Astéri runs blindly off into the darkness, calling on his magic again to help be a little light even though his paws are already kind of singed and achy. "Viv! Vivi! Are you okay?"

"Speaking!"
Thinking.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Morpho - Apr 27 2020

Morpho walked blindly in the dark until his foot touched something. It was soft, and cool to the touch. He picked it up with one of his claws, admiring the smooth texture. He had no idea what to do with it, however. After some deliberation, he put it on his head. He wasn't able to see very well, anyways, and it'd leave both of his claws free just in case something attacked him.

He continued on exploring the darkened tunnel, moving carefully and slowly as he kept an eye out for other gembound or shiny trinkets.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Game Master CJ - Apr 27 2020

It had nearly concluded its research. It would wait a moment longer, to note any new findings, before it would vanish completely; no sight or smell or sound left in its wake. Aside from the things it left behind, it would be as if it were never there. Slowly, the lights blinked on and the blue glow from Polaris began to bleed back into the tunnel entrance.

(E3) Alpha has discovered a large, single link of a strange, gold chain. It is heavy, even to Alpha; it might be fastened around its body like a silly harness, but its true purpose is likely lost on the gembounds. However, they might feel its magic pull them down—not by the weight of the chain, no, but by some other force. Some thing that cannot be disobeyed. Wearing the link for too long may pull the gembound's thoughts into a netherworld; a void. A prison. There is nothing here except the breathing of a slumbering beast. An affected gembound might catch a glimpse of its green eyes or green breath—before it is again lost in the void. Spending too much time dreaming of this strange place will leave the gembound feeling dissociated, until ultimately, they may disappear entirely from the cave... leaving nothing behind, not even the chain link.

(C6) Delta has discovered a seafoam green amulet that is in the shape of a rounded diamond. It is translucent and smoky, like sea glass. Its edges are smoothed and coated with rose gold, and the accompanying thin chain is also rose gold.

(A3) Calypso has discovered a map of a changed world. Again, it has writing that cannot be read, runes and letters that are unknown to the gembounds: it seems to depict a small valley-like field with two towns on either side. Surrounding the field is a river that splits at the top and meets back again at the bottom. The valley is made mostly of a wheat field and has a strange marking that runs through it, almost like an endless spine, that ends abruptly at the north-west edge of the field, falling into the river. There are mountains beyond the riversides. In the bottom left is large writing, what might be the name of the place, and a smaller signature under that. In the bottom right is a compass mark.

(E1) Aran has discovered a strange, glossy paper that has an image frozen in time on it. The image depicts a young human girl with wavy brown hair and green eyes; she is laughing and happy, making a crown of flowers with some other person in the photo. He is large and brawny, perhaps her father, perhaps her brother; they seem to be enjoying their time together. In the background of the photo is a weird shadow that cannot be wiped away. It seems unnatural and unnerving.

(F4) Elias has discovered a trap! Others may help him escape or he may roll to save himself.

(A5) Attikias and Hunter have discovered a trap! Others may help them escape or they may roll to save themselves.

(E2) Linea has discovered a ring. This narrow ring is brass. It is set with a small translucent bright rose heart-cut gem surrounded by opaque sky blue gems.

(D4) Shengxiao has discovered a chunk of gold. It can be forged into a tool or piece of jewelry, or whatever Shengxiao decides to do with it!

(D6) Pip has discovered a set of gold rings with chains linking them together. There are three rings total, each separated evenly by the chains; there are three thin chains dangling between each ring. This is too big for Pip to wear, but can be worn as earrings or on hands—or however else characters mind come up with!

(C4) Astéri has discovered a tin of cookies. The tin has a loose-fitting lid on top and is navy blue in color with cream floral patterns. The cookies inside are resting on thin paper and are an assortment of sugar cookies and butter cookies.

(E6) Morpho has discovered a navy blue cape. It fastens over the shoulders and can be worn by most medium to large creatures.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Aran - Apr 27 2020

Aran found another thing. More fragile then the ring that was now wrapped around one of his antlers. It was... flat and had a picture of some sorts on it. The thing wasn't like the drawings he saw in the caves. It was different.... In a way that he couldn't explain. It showcased a couple of two-legged beings that he didn't quite understand. And then some kind of shadowy figure in the back that startled him in some ways. It was just... there. And when Aran took one of his legs to wipe at the spot nothing happened. It just sat there... Eerily.

Either way, he was going to keep it and figure out what was going on, but for now, he would go.

RE: [EVENT] The Visitor - Calypso - Apr 27 2020

The cat hissed and spat, hunching over her new shiny protectively, ears flat and fluffy fur standing on end, 'This is MINE!' before, looking around, stooping down to grab it in her mouth, stepping back and hearing something crinkle, whirling around to face it, leaning down and sniffing the whatever-it-was, but the whatever-it-was was her's, she'd found it, so she grabbed the corner and took off at a sprint as the lights came on.

'MY SHINIES!'
