[RE-RAFFLE] SOH'LING, THE ABYSSAL SOVEREIGN - Game Master Bunny - Nov 13 2021

Soh-ling has been surrendered and reclaimed! We'll be raffling this character once again, but—as always—we as staff reserve the right to reclaim abandoned raffle characters and readopt them out.

If you adopt Soh'ling, you may change its name and gender, as well as personality. YspobDon has given permission for his writing to remain on the profile, if you don't feel like rewriting the appearance or personality. This character will be given to you with ʡ 50, as if it is brand new!

As a reminder for this character's backstory... this Valkhound was created in the Black City, but remained in chrysalis for ages with the Deep Dark as its guard. Shortly after awakening, it could have either hibernated again or simply remained in the darkest corners of Fornax.

How do I enter?
Post below with your interest and a brief blurb of what you might do with this character!

RE: [RE-RAFFLE] SOH'LING, THE ABYSSAL SOVEREIGN - Dragon - Nov 13 2021

Hey yo count me RIGHT in

BLURB:

What must it be like to wake up, for the first time, as a servant in a world so full of both magic and strife? With so much to learn, but so many dangers, it must seem a world of wonder and threat, possibly overwhelming. What must it be like navigating the fine lines between responsibility and desire--the tasks set by one's creator, and the urge to go learn and explore? From this fresh gel could be shaped a rebel, strong-willed and self-determined; or a meekly obedient servant; or even the dutiful who slips away for its own quiet, secret rebellions of adventure. Or it may become a monster, made fierce by its bridle and chains, half-feral and willing to lash out. I imagine the stone on its tongue, possibly impacting its speech, might cause it either distress or frustration as well.

Plotwise I think it'd be fun to explore the possibilities without too much planning. I'd likely set the personality as somewhat catlike: shy and twitchy, but curious and predatory; I'd consider having Soh'ling edge toward being the hesitant knowledge-seeker I'm looking for for the Cepheus library concept; I think it might fit, but if it proves not to then it would go its own way. Cepheus, though, is allowed... Cepheus is a place it could go to hear about adventures it's not allowed to--or too shy to--have on its own.

[slides in]

I kinda had to go digging for my old idea for it, but!!! Very much a large eldritch puppy-kitten... thing. Childish given that they haven't actually been like, out and about that long. And given that their only company for that time has really just been Deep Dark (and perhaps Farina's looming presence) It's just a LITTLE bit clueless as to how 'normal' gembound are in general. Specifically, it may overestimate their durability. This can lead to upsetting moments during 'spars' or simple play.

I'll probably keep bits of the original personality don wrote for it, but it'll probably have to grow into that.
