Hello? Is It... News You're Looking For?

The staff have FINALLY decided on a method of executing skills that isn't too convoluted or complicated, so we are going to work on implementing them as soon as possible. It will take quite a bit of work, but we hope to finally get them started so that the community can benefit from them. Instead of doing Purchasable Skills, we will call them Feats, and since we want to start off with a wide variety of Feats to choose from, we are opening up a Feats Suggestions thread! Please note that we might not be able to use every suggestion, but we will try to include as many as we can and keep our choices as diverse as possible. Click here to check it out!

With the new year, we'd like to place a focus on groups, which means generating some interest in our current groups! So we're going to have a contest in which groups must work together to collect as many points as possible, working towards a common goal - that includes recruiting more members and participating in fun group threads! Finally, we have some minor changes to implement: An additional breeding requirement of a minimum of 40 posts before characters can start their conception threads. This means your character MUST have 40 or more posts before they can start a conception thread. This does not include posts made in your conception thread - you must have 40 or more posts outside of the conception thread. Seeing as it takes 4 cycles (essentially 4 months) for a character to be able to breed, we believe this is a reasonable requirement.

Earn ʡ5 Magicka for every advertisement placed. Advertise Origin on other websites, and we will award you ʡ5 per ad. You must provide a link to the thread the advertisement is located on. Advertisements must abide by a website's rules; if they don't, or they are deleted, you will not be able to claim the magicka for them.

Game Master Shafaer and Game Master Arkrael have entered the game! You may now request them to make NPC posts for golems, Svarog, Batcat and Batcat JR., as well as random events.

The Cave Report

System; Start
Remember when all of the cave was full of innocent, lovely threads like this? Little Eira and Kimen are brand new to the caverns, and lord are they cute. Together, these two are learning how to function together and it is reminiscent of the sweet, child-like interactions of Gembounds from Origin's earlier days. I would definitely take a read, because it's so cozy and innocent.

Leon and the rest of the Maji Walezi are holding a funeral for their former leader, Bevy, who was murdered at the hands of Kerberos following their most recent election.

Imagine being a tiny little rat coming into Monoceros, the place full of evil Merrymen, to tell Louie's kids that their dad is dead. Imagine having to tell Magdalena, the plague vector witch of Merrymen that, while Nemesis stands near by ready to stomp you. It's a pretty tense thread full of selfish feelings and large quantities of salt.

My Hero
A light hearted story of two children playing games of imagination. Despite Kay and Shafaer being in this thread, it's 100% pure good, suffer-free fun. Enjoy!

Our favorite villain Belladonna is back to torture another Gembound, only her plans are foiled when that Gembound's guardian, Arkrael, bursts into the scene, alongside Leon and - get ready - Bartos. Belladonna turns her rage to Bartos, and then to Arkrael, infecting them with a darkness uncannily similar to her own.

Oh Vicktor, nooo! Our sweet adorable Pounce has turned to the dark side! After weeks of isolation, Eosphoros enters the world again, only to be brutally mauled by the jaguar Vicktor. A savior arrives in the form of the God-King Kingsfoil, further adding to his troupe of blind followers.
