Sergei nodded shyly. He did not answer, though; Tema was going one way, and he another, and he wanted out. Every stranger around him was a threat, despite the reassurance of this new gift.

He turned, clutching the spear haft too-tightly, and hurried off. He would remember 'Eridanus,' though for now, he wanted to go home.

"Wait. Y-you could just...refuse?" Somehow, Fleas plan had not considered the fact the Masked Merchant had autonomy and might choose not to revive the gembound. But, at the very least, hed ensure they hatched. Her ears flicked back. "Fine! Thats fine. Ugh, yeah I'll get the stones." Fleas waved a paw dismissively.

"Just gotta prepare myself for the walk back into the canyons. Ugh, this place sucks." Fleas shuddered. She turned around, glaring at the distant canyons. She'd sorta...commited herself to this idea. What an awful idea. What a bad, awful idea. She sighed. "Hm. Maybe if I crawl they wont notice me..." she mumbled, before getting on her belly and crawling the entire way towards the crucible.
