For a while, the Mystfox struggled in its grip, but then the sedatives began to work into its system and its struggles eventually died away until its heartbeat and breathing were slow and even and its eyes slid shut. It was unconscious.

It didn't move as it was turned around and inspected, but the Piano would find no external gemstone on this mystfox.

Despite The Piano's best efforts, its search came away with no result. It gave itself a mental shrug, and withdrew its strings--though not before sneaking in one last pet on its soft blue fur.

With its now-unconscious catch ensconced safely within its box and lid, The Piano wheeled itself out of Andromeda. It began to brainstorm ways to fashion a cage--perhaps there was someone who'd want a cute, playful pet or playmate out there.
