Now was optimum time to sneak out of Monoceros and explore a bit further than he normally did. Although the boy looked lost, he very much wasn't. He knew exactly how to get back, though he never thought about how. Odyssey didn't seem to remember things as well as he had, but in fact, had anyone? He didn't know many others besides the Merry Men members, and even still that was limited. He chose not to socialize with them, keeping himself close to Odyssey as much as possible. It was when Odyssey wasn't looking that he ran out of the cave, caring little that Odyssey could be back sooner rather than later. There was no telling how long Othello had been away from them by now, but it wasn't a quick stroll.

He entered Eridanus then and paused, looking around the room full of life and vegetation. His head tilted, wide bat ears scanning and listening for anything. The sound of bugs was all he heard, so he wandered a little farther inside. He wasn't inside for long when he found a cave with the recent, lingering scent of life. He explored the mouth of the cave, finding it empty, and sniffed at the ground. With life having been here recently, maybe they left something interesting inside. Checking to make sure the coast was clear, at least for now, he scurried inside as quietly as his skinny legs could make it and over to what he assumed was a nest. His head tilted as he sniffed at it, ruffling the bed with his long, black nose. Something was definitely under this nest, and when he uncovered something colored dark green and shiny, he just had to steal it. His jaw clamped around the shiny and he lifted his head and scanned the mouth of the cave again; had he heard something?
