QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
" Ooooh, I'm gonna let the future in, future in;
take it all, make it on my { o w n } "
The instant he landed atop the mustelid, The Bone King's heart snapped in two. He couldn't do this anymore. The Gembound that had been pinned down by his feet writhed and screeched in fury, but of his own accord. It was obvious that he disdained the position he was in, but he even further disliked the fact that he'd failed to direct his lightning bolt correctly and caused a bone to explode inside of his mouth. There was definitely blood on the floor and on Azazel's talons.
He just couldn't do that anymore.
Carmine eyes glimmered as he'd lift his foot gently and slowly, wincing as the wolverine chomped down on his toes. Giving a small chirp, the bird willed the air about him to vibrate, hoping to compact the air around the mustelid so that his magicka would hopefully hold him in place. He didn't really want him to hurt himself anymore. It was horrible to see a creature in such pain. Looking off guiltily, the bird sighed. Hopefully his attempt at using his last sparks of magic for this hopefully last round of this fight would work... and this fight would be over. Why didn't he just let this little creature have one bone? Just one?!

Azazel let go, and finally Fisher was free to scamper away... But his legs didn't want to work, so much. He fumbled, stumbling over his own paws. The air felt charged with magic, but he hardly noticed it as he wriggled away, then plopped uselessly on the floor once more. He was exhausted, and everything was fuzzy and bright. Afraid of being hurt anymore, Fisher curled up into a tight ball, electricity building up in his fur as a method of protecting himself.
The world should just go away. Fisher's bleeding tongue licked bits of bone shards out of his gums and ran his paws over his muzzle. The white things, the bones, they were dangerous and evil. He would stick to mice, tasty tasty mice and not eat their awful, pointy bits.
There was one last think that Fisher realized. Azazel would never, ever be his friend. This big jerk of a bird had pushed him to his worst, and like the Spire who had hurt him, had sent giant monsters at him, and like the Snake who thought he was food, Azazel had become his worst enemy. A small part of the fuzzy noodle thought that one day, he might be able to fight back, but for right now, he could only hope that the awful bird would stay far away.

" Ooooh, into the fire we go again, go again; { s h a k e } it off before we get too old "
As soon as he let go of the noodle, Azazel would watch mournfully as he scrambled to get away from him. The poor thing would stumble over himself and curl up into the most miserable ball ever, small sparks of elecricty buzzing between his hairs as his only means of protection. But he wouldn't need it. Carmine eyes stung with tears, but The Bone King didn't know what they were. He'd never truly felt sad before, and it was a horrible, aching feeling in his heart. It made him feel hallow inside and stabbed his core like a knife.
Why had he done this? Why did he have to be so greedy about his bones? The fisher didn't deserve this, in the ave's eyes.
Finally, one single tear slipped from carmine eyes, and the bird hunkered down into a little ball, scooting away from the pile of bones. He didn't want them anymore. He didn't care about them anymore. He just wanted to just let it all out. All of his emotions. All of his pent up sadness and feelings. Why, why, why? The Bone King slid up toward a wall, resting against it and raising a wing to conceal his face. Finally, he hunched his back and let the tears fall from his eyes. "Why did I do this..." That was a question that replayed over and over again in the ave's head, like a broken record. "Why?"

For a long time, nothing disturbed the Fisher. The bird did not return; the electricity a friendly, soft hum in his fur. Silence otherwise hung in the air, and nothing touched him. Nothing moved. Eventually, he could feel his paws again, and everything ached. The white spotty vision cleared, and slowly he lifted his head to look around, ears twitching hesitantly.
He could see the bird was still around, but Azazel looked absolutely miserable. Furious, but wounded, the long brown animal carefully rose to his paws. He thought about attacking again, his pride and rage fueling his mind, but he knew he wouldn't be able to fight anymore. Letting out a sharp hiss, the small noodle tried to slip away into the shadows, far away from the giant bird who had hurt him so.
"This isn't the last of me," Fisher vowed, a low growl in his throat and anger flashing in his hot copper eyes. "You'll regret messing with this Fisher." He had no idea who the big bird was, but he would never forget that ugly mug. Although he had already forgot where he was, which meant... Well, it was time for the injured mustelid to get very, very lost.
;; Fisher Exit!
(seems like a good place to end the thread, right? :'D sorry aza.... i still love you D: <3)
" Sweet harmony, send us with nowhere to go;
Sweet harmony, secret's out but what do I { k n o w ? }
Azazel huddled down low, slumping against the cave wall. The stone radiated coldness and he radiated it back. Once bright and alert eyes were dulled and glassed over. He was dead to the world. He didn't hear distant water splashing, the fisher growling and hissing at him, not even his own heartbeat. It was just a dull and drab silence. It was like there was nothing more than the bleak gray floor that he stared at, tears blurring his vision. "Why..." He managed to breathe out... but that was it. He suddenly felt himself lurch toward the ground, spent from the battle and magic usage. Everything went black, and the bird fell asleep in a quite stupid position, butt high up in the air.
