"Anyway, I'm sorry if it sounds nosy, but what kind of magic do you have? So far i've encountered gembounds with arcana magic, like mine, plant magic, and water magic. What's yours?" Cuanakrys asked. She was curious as to the magic this gembound could use. Maybe it was a different kind of magic than what she has encountered.

Equinox's smile faded at their question, her jaws closing so that her eye was hidden. a rumble began in her chest, one that sent a vibration throughout her form. She didn't really want to think about her magic, truth be told, but if she was going to be friends with other creatures, then they needed to know. So, the draconian being opened her jaws and looked at them once more.

"My magic is destructive, and unpredictable," Equinox warned them. "Though... magic isn't the word I'd use to describe my abilities. I can only produce a few sparks when it comes to magic itself, but any sort of spark sets my slime alight. See this black... stuff? don't touch it."

baseline, don't come near her, for she is a monster. Equinox felt her emotions wilting slightly. She didn't want to hurt anyone, and being reminded of these burdens she carried made her thoroughly uncomfortable.

"Oh, ok! I'll try not to touch it. My magic moves things slightly,or makes me see shadows, and a few other things, although it sometimes feels a bit useless." Cuanakrys said, trying to keep a bit of enthusiasm in her voice. Equinox didn't seem bad, and having magic that makes sparks actually seemed kinda cool.

Equinox had never heard of magic like that before... something that involved seeing, and knowing. Affecting tiny things in the world that could lead to greater things. The thought made Equinox yearn that her magic was a little less destructive. She'd rather feel that her magic was useless, than like it could hurt many, without even being nearby. "Better useless than potentially destructive," she told them with a soft, whistling sigh.

Cuan had noticed that the water was... sweeping her away from equinox. "Nox?" Cuan cried. 'I hope she can save herself..." Was all Cuan thought, trying to float. All cuan could do was paddle, and she was swept away, towards somewhere else in the tunnels...

Equinox, until now, hadn't noticed the water levels rising up, and that was a mistake that she wouldn't make again. Before she truly knew what was going on, the canine was at first sliding, and thdn being carried away by the waters. The slime that poured from her body, solidifying around her paws when it came into contact with the ice and held her in place. Hrr head lashed forward, stretching to twice the length it had been moments ago... but was unable to catch the retreating red wolf.

All she could think of doing was crying out:

"H-hang on! I'll come after you! I'll f-find you!"

But she didn't know how long that'd be. For now she just had to get back to safe grounds...
