The pup's claws gently clicked against the ground as it padded away from the room of Bones where it had been born. It didn't look back, not even for a moment, nor did it pay any heed to the barren atmosphere or the chill that prickled against it's bald skin. Its quest now, was to explore. it simply ached to know what lay beyond the room of Bones, and moreover wanted to master the lay of the land.

It needed to go about finding its way, and that meant getting lost, but knowing the way you'd come. In order to know your way, you had to know where you'd been.

Its large crimson eyes were wide, only blinking occasionally as they glanced around at the walls, looking for landmarks that it could perhaps use anyway. This tunnel was pretty much a straight line either way. It kept on walking, taking in the sights, and the sounds. It didn't like how quiet this was, logic said that it meant someone was about to jump out at him, but his eyes told him that there was nowhere in this tunnel for any such thing to hide.

It would be useful to run into someone either way, to help in figuring out how these caves worked. Gabriel's ears pricked, and it sucked in its breath, trying to cast out its senses and see if there was anything awaiting him in the world ahead.

Andromeda Enyo Polémou
You can't raise hell with a saint.

Andromeda hadn't felt a compulsion to explore before this point in time, but after having seen all of Canis and the Bone Fortresses there, she longed to see more. She had slipped the cub's skull over again and walked towards the entrance of a Tunnel. A creature of stone peered down as Andromeda stepped through the doorway and left her familiar behind.

Her blue eyes shone dimly through the skull's eye-holes, the bone giving off a dim glow. The mist filling the Tunnel soon swallowed the light of it whole, though, and the she-wolf stopped to focus on her inner light.

As if from a natural source, the light of Andromeda's core brightened and shone through her skin and fur, casting a soft, warm glow at her surroundings. Wearing a proud smile beneath her glowing skull, the wolf continued on her way.
It wasn't long until she saw a figure in the mist ahead. The figure was familiar. "Gabriel." Andromeda said, not a question but a fact voiced with polite curiosity. She hadn't expected to come upon the other Gembound in the Tunnel. Their relationship remained independent but tied by a common cause, unnamed but existing.

"What brings you here, if I may ask?" She tilted her head the slightest bit, watching Gabriel through the holes of the skull. Andromeda knew she wouldn't be able to wear it for long, the stubs between her ears, which she'd seen in her own reflection in the shards of her chrysalis, were growing and would, hopefully soon, grow into mighty horns.
A better crown than the skull, surely, and honorable in their own respect, like Gabriel's crown was too.

Crowned Knights, Andromeda thought with the hint of a smile.

"All the words are gonna bleed from me."

Gabriel's ears pricked as, of course, someone crept up behind him. Their footsteps were louder, betraying the size as a larger creature, yet their claws remniscent of another canine. Its ears flicked back, and it drew to a steady halt before turning its head back the way it came, one large red eye glancing back. It had the compulsion to continue, wanting to learn its way as soon as it possibly could, but felt like speaking to another creature could reveal things far more valuable to it. Slowly, Gabriel tuned around and sat back on its haunches, recognizing the canid that approached despite the grisly artifact they wore atop their head.

It didn't seem surprised however, and a small smirk crept up onto its bald face. "Andromeda," Gabriel greeted in turn, with a deep bow of his head. "I want to learn my way," it told her honestly. There was no harm in that, and so showed no hesitation in talking about it. "I'm going to find my place in these caves, and to do that I need to know them inside and out. Yourself? It seems you've got a plan already."

Surely there was something more to that than just looking formidable? Although even if that was the sole intent, wearing a skull wasn't all that bad of an idea, not when they were so small and defenseless as of now. It could even act as armour. Not even its magic could do that yet.

This world was slowly unravelling more and more as time went by. This place really was more complicated than it'd ever suspected inside its golden chamber.
