Equinox for the first time appeared to notice the long, whiplike tail that usually dragged along the ground behind her. Her long neck stretching out, she raised her tail clumsily and waved it in front of her face- so that it almost ended up in her mouth- before turning back to Kyorai. She seemed bewildered by its existence; Equinox hadn't always been a dragon, and she seemed to learn new things about her body every day. First their was her still-unused wings, and now there was this tail... As far as Equinox knew, her tail might have still been as short and stubby as it was when she was a single cycle old. She'd never looked back, as it was difficult to see past her wings.

"I'd... have to test it out firsssst," Equinox gurgled, her tail flickering around in the near vicinity behind her. Now that she knew it was there, she just couldn't help it. Like a puppy chasing their tail. "I've never... done anything with my tail before. I didn't even know it wassss there." A ripple passed over her skin at the mention of her name, a sign of her perking to attention despite her lack of visible ears.

"Passssing through. But in this darknesssss, the heart isss the only place I can really find my way." Their demanding nature seemed lost on Equinox, who often struggled with understanding the purpose and reasoning of others as it was. She simply accepted all who came her way; at least until their tone turned to threatening.

Equinox was surprised when they noted that they knew another dragon. Equinox tilted her head, remembering her brief encounter with Baratheon, and what the older dragon had told her; that control would come with confidence. A smile twinged at the side of her beak with the thought. Was it possible that Kyorai had encountered the same dragon? Thinking deeper into it, Equinox thought it impossible not to be the same beast. Baratheon had thought for a long time that he was the only one, after all. But the elder dragon had mentioned a son, and a destructive dragon of the past as well. Perhaps it was Baratheon's son they had met? "The dragon you met... wassss it Baratheon?" Equinox asked, tilting her head to one side. "Baratheon told me that I'm a dragon. He ssssaid that I need to be more confident."

Then, they questioned her on magic. A curious one, weren't they? Equinox let out an audible sigh, and hesitated in her answer. "...My magic is desssstructive, if it can even be called magic. It's my ssslime that makes it bad, though. With it, I nearly desssstroyed Eridanus."

Shame enclosed her gurgling voice.

Died last night in my dreams "Kyo Speaks" | Kyo Thinks @Equinox Whaaaat? Is the word he wanted to say when company told that they had not known the existence of their tail. One time he could be guilty of that, emerging in not knowing the presence to his own. It was quite small then, however, just a little curl; but it definitely fluffed itself up since then and became a better way in telling his delight. He watched them play with their newly found appendage, chuckling while they did so. He nodded at their reasoning for being here, finding it somewhat acceptable. From the places he has explored in, this was the only room he knew of that had lights that were created by itself. Though mind tripped over the mention to darkness, some bits of statement colliding. Holding out a note as he thought, he ceased his singing once Equinox put forth the name of the dragon he had mentioned. He immediately nodded his head, slightly ashamed of himself for not telling their name beforehand. "Yeah!" he responded, stomping forepaws on the ground from pent up happiness. Though it was gradually subsiding so, he would not be bouncing off anything within the second. Hearing that they were the one to tell her she was a dragon and to improve herself, he beamed at the other as that sounded like his dragon friend for sure. "More confidence? Hmm, let's see here. Wait, why need more confidence? You're quite large, you shouldn't need to search for any!" he stated, raising a brow and angling his head. Although this was coming from one in which had no clear judgement for size; seeing he would throw himself at the largest of creatures without a second thought. Kyorai snorted when she told that the element/magic they withheld was destructive. Thoughts immediately went to fire as he knew the dangers in which could come from it. Honestly, was it not the only one that was dangerous and destructive? He pondered this, but did not let it consume him. Although he did put on a look of shock when he heard what had happened one time in the room of Eridanus. Could... no, no they did not seem like the one to issue such thing. He remembered scar friend had upon them but company before him did not seem like she was responsible for it, not after what she spoke about them previously. "Huh, I hadn't notice anything bad there. No one got hurt, yes?" he questioned, just wanting to be sure.

Equinox tried to think of an answer to their abrupt question but was unable to, almost feeling guilty for the way she felt. She imagined that many beings, like Tukluk, would have loved to be as big as her. But even so, they found their way in the caves and never ended up accidentally destroying anything. A gurgle began in her chest and continued as she spoke. "A sssslight misstep on my part could end up hurting ssssomeone, or desssstroying sssomething that shouldn't be dessstroyed." she explained, shuffling her paws against the ground uncomfortably. "And yet, I feel if I grow into mysssself, there'd be more chance of that. It'sssss a cruel cycle..." The more she spoke, the more Equinox began to realize that even talking to this puppy was a risk. The slime was already pooling beneath her belly and forming into a thick puddle.

She tensed slightly as they snorted, and Equinox's maw parted in an effort to peer at them curiously. They then responded to her story, of what she'd done to Eridanus. Saying it had seemed fine when they'd been there. That was relieving... meant that the forest was probably going to recover, and that it was less likely that someone would be hurt by the sight of what she'd done. Perhaps she hadn't affected as much of the forest as she'd thought, even. She opened her mouth to answer their question, only to stop, her jaws parted, skin writhing. What if she had hurt someone? She'd never wanted to hurt anyone. it was an accident. There had been no-one nearby when she'd done it, right...?

Then the realization hit her; she'd never made sure that Tukluk was okay. Fear suddenly consumed her. She had to find her way back to Eridanus. He lived there, and he was so small that the dragon might not have noticed him.
"I... I sure hope not," she murmured fearfully.

Died last night in my dreams "Kyo Speaks" | Kyo Thinks @Equinox Sound of disbelief left his maw at why the slime creature could not utter up much confidence. This reminded him of that bat he met some time ago, though their issue lie strictly on treading the cave floor which the spitz still refused to understand. An open-mind but only if he felt self assertion to be unnecessary. When it came to seeing those that feared and doubted themselves, mind and heart were started up to get to the bottom of the issue and if persistent enough—reverse it. Gazing up at company, body was a bit bothered at not being able to touch them whether it was for comfort or grabbing attention. "Well, there's a difference between awareness and fear. I think that's just simple fear!" he analyzed, "From what I understand, you can't be aware if you're always afraid! That's why ya need confidence or you'll never be aware of true self," he stated with a nod of his head; cleverness seeping through with his indirect advice. Even though this was a situation in which happened previously, paw stepped into their substance again, not heeding to their warning earlier. This dog... lets his intentions get the better of him. Despite his disobedience, he only stood in a light pool of it in not wanting to issue much urgency on the matter. Multi-hued eyes narrowed at them but plan was harmless. Scanning the slime about, he pondered. "If this bothers you a lot and you rather not embrace, have you not thought of a way to draw it back or something?" he asked with curiosity, tilting his head in wanting to know if this stuff was really uncontrollable. "Why not use water for yourself?" now, he could not do what company did, unfortunately, but there was a body of the liquid right in front of them. Small whimper came from him when not given a definite answer in rather someone was hurt by accident or not. Without a proper knowing, he could not blame them—not as if he wanted to. Slowly, he sat himself in the light slime pool he forced self into, awaiting to hear Equinox response.

Equinox tilted her head towards the pup, unsure of what to say or think. So instead, she remained silent. Equinox for one felt that the way she felt was justified. Like the knowledge that a plant was poisonous; you wouldn't still eat it if you knew it would kill you. Likewise, Equinox felt it best to warn others of her slime and try to protect them from it. "Awarenessss makesssss fear," she said. "You wouldn't eat sssssomething if you know it'sss poisssson. And you would run from a predator running towardssss you. You'd still be afraid, even though aware." Equinox said, her hooked claws pulling at the moss beneath her paws.

As they stepped into the pool of slime once again, a motion spread over Equinox's skin, its texture writhing as though she was covered in maggots. And it remained that way, rippling and writhing. Slime was shed off of her like water off a duck's back. Panic in her eye, the great being leaned in, and they would have been able to see every ripple and every writhe, every maggot-like tendril thrashing and her eye blazing bright in the depths of her maw. "I've tried. Itssssss not like raising a paw or nodding your head. It'sssss nothing I can control. I can't control it."

Seeing this, in conjunction with her previous thoughts had riled Equinox like nothing before, and she gulped her eye back into the back of her throat. All of a sudden she could feel it hard and round, and as they suggested using water, Equinox opened her jaws a tiny crack once more. "More will come. It doessssn't matter if I wash it off or burn it off or... anything. There will be more. "
