She had decided to join Aza'zel in her travels around the caves because it seemed interested in hearing her stories and in helping her gather more material for another one. She already had the Giggle's motives and actions to consider, its macabre love for bones and decay mixed with that childlike fascination of her magick, along with Bevy's lovely shyness and Aza's incredibly hilarious antics.

She really liked Aza and how silly she always seemed to find it! was the Aza always so silly, or did she just happen to come across it when it was? Either way, she enjoyed spending the time animatedly speaking of her story and the adventures she'd had since she'd escaped her shell. She was getting much better at speaking now that she'd had a lot of practice, and she barely stuttered at all!

She had no idea if she was leading him to her birthplace, or the Aza was, or if either of them were traveling with no direction in mind, for neither of them spoke about where they were going exactly...but it didn't matter much! She loved her leafy green home.

"S-so, you mentioned that we w-were looking for something?" She said, looking at the Aza.

"This is how I speak."

Since his very much hated loved bathtime courtesy of Beau, Saudade, and a little girl named Clover, he'd stayed away from the two pups. He tended to wander toward the pale white fawn, listening in on her many stories to be told. The two had met on terms that Azazel didn't exactly appreciate, but hopefully first impressions could be changed. Yes, that was one hope he clung onto. So he'd approached the story-telling fawn, wondering if she'd allow him to tag along in an adventure for mind fodder. Surely Clover could make something of some exploration or adventure. The two hadn't really settled on a specific direction, and just wandered. The white fawn seemed to lead the way, and The Bone King followed. She was a curious little thing, and he was quite fawn of the stories she told him along the way.

The duo emerged in a passage leading to a verdant room. He'd yet to come and explore this place, and it was simply fantastic. He hadn't seen so much greenery and plants in one room... and here, it was sublime. It may be a little too hot for his liking, but he'd be very open to venture around in here! His rufous crown turned to the ghostly fawn, who'd already begun to show a bit of happiness. The Bone King smiled and nodded at her question. "Yeah, uh. A little bit ago, there was a beast in one of the tunnels leading out of the room of stars, and a bunch of Gembound decided to help him by looking for pieces of his friend. They're like little bits of shiny stuff. He called it 'metal'?" Carmine eyes flickered down to the jungle floor, nosing aside leaves. Maybe he just could find something to start out the story trip.

He moved a massive leaf aside, and found a gleaming little granite pebble, blue hash marks inscribed on it. "Oooo." Azazel pushed himself deeper into the brush, balancing precariously on some gnarled root from a nearby tree. Leaning down, he'd scoop out the rock from muck and mire, throwing himself back and tumbling on his back. "Look!" The Bone King twisted his head and dropped the small pebble at the girl's feet, smiling. It wasn't anything special, but he thought the stone was pretty neat.

"A beast?" She murmured. How intriguing! She wondered what the beast looked like, and why it was called a beast rather than a creature she was familiar with. Did it look different than Bevys and Azas and wolf-kin and deer? And why was its friend scattered around? Why wasn't the beast looking for it itself? Maybe something was keeping it there? And what was 'metal'? What did that look like?

She made a soft sound of contemplation, growing excited. Maybe she could meet the beast and maybe she could base a story around it. Maybe it wouldn't be quite so dark this time. She tilted her head and stared off into the distance of the leafy green room while Aza searched around. She was starting to get ideas....

Aza's voice caught her attention, and her ears pricked up. "Did you find the m-metal thing?" She asked, worried the big Aza would fall over while searching, and stepped forward to it, then scrambled back with a laugh when the Aza flopped over and showed her a little trinket, his beak all covered in muck. "A-are you okay?" She smiled, wondering why the Aza was so silly, but loving Aza for it anyway. She leaned down to nudge his head with her nose and lick some of his feathers to make sure the Aza was okay.

Then she leaned over to see what the Aza had found after cleaning some of the muck off of it. She saw the pretty light blue writing on it, and her eyes went wide. What did the little symbol mean? Who made it? What did they make it with? Why would they drop the little beauty after making it so pretty? Ohhh, it was making her really excited!

"I want to make it glow," She laughed, turning to Aza. "Can I make it glow? What else can we f-find here? Oh, I r-really want to find other amazing things like this!"

"This is how I speak."

The Bone King nodded vigorously, carmine eyes glimmering in the half-light. "A beast! He decided to call himself Beast." Now, that was a name that truly fit the shadowy creature. It wasn't one given in malevolence, but almost in benevolence. He'd given himself the name, and he seemed to remember that, unlike his true name that likely had been lost to the wiles of time. Maybe someday the Gembound of the void would find his true calling and find his name. Maybe when they pieced his friend back together. Azazel was still quite unaware of the fact that the Beast's friend wouldn't simply come to life just like that, when they put together all of the parts.

It wasn't that easy to put two and two together. Not for a still somewhat unintelligent child who'd lived amongst bones for the first month of his life, oh heavens no.

The pale fawn squealed as he moved the stone toward her, drawing a small chuckle from the ave. "Well, no... but it's equally as co—" Cutting of his speech, the bird raised a wing and hid his face. He just swallowed some mud from his beak on accident. It had been disgusting. But the muck and mire was in his stomach now. Eugh. Raising a brow and moving his appendage, the bird would hear a request. Make it glow? Of course! Nodding happily, the bird nosed the stone closer to her. "Go at it, Clover!" Smiling, the bird stepped back, giving a small chirp, "I think there are other things! I'm gonna go look some more, and you can, too!" Scampering off, the bird nosed through some more leaf litter, eager and happy. It had been a long time since Azazel felt this young and innocent.

"Hm...." She turned her head this way and that, looking at the stone. Would it piffer out if she tried to make it glow? Would it blow up in her face again? She knew it would make her tired, that was a given, regardless if she failed or succeeded, but she couldn't help but be nervous to try after that last fiasco.

Nonetheless, she called to her magic, and set to trying. She took deep breaths.

And it went completely normally. She felt the familiar rush of fatigue as she breathed her light and energy into the stone, sighing into it, inhaling like a bellow and gently guiding the magic to where she wanted it to go. This time however, it didn't make her want to lay down and sleep. Her knees felt a little wobbly, but she felt proud that she was getting better at this.

What it left her with was a pretty little stone with markings that pulsated with a blue light that caught the dust in the air, and a soft, ethereal glow all around it. She rather liked it, and she wanted to give it to someone.

"I did it, Aza!" She lifted her head, ignoring the brief wash of dizziness from exerting herself. "Aza? Did you find something?"

"This is how I speak."

The bird rooted around a little more in the leaf litter, sometimes clambering into bushes to find nothing but some more leaves and mud. By now, his talons were caked with mud, and he almost hated it. He'd have to clean them off later in one of the nearby streams that he could hear bubbling off somewhere. After the colorful pebble he'd discovered, there was almost nothing to be found but ordinary rocks embedded into mud by giant feet. The footprints were gone now, but Azazel was pretty sure that was why they were there.

With the call of the fawn, the bird whirled his head around and hopped to her happily. Carmine eyes glimmered and he looked down at the stone, blue marks now glowing brightly. It was simply stunning. "Oooo, that's really pretty, Clover." Nodding vigorously, then hanging his head, "No... Didn't find anything but plain old rocks." Raising his rufous crown, the ave looked all around. Maybe he was looking too hard? Simply gazing around, he hoped he would see something like the helmet that Beast had been holding when they met.

In the distance, Aza'zel may have caught the gleaming of dull silver against the artificial lights of the cave. High up in a tree, approximately twenty meters above the ground, the pauldrons were slung around a thick branch. They were fit rather snug, and must have been there long enough that the bark of the tree was beginning to grow over them. They cannot be easily removed - but the branch might be.

"Oh!" She said, after Aza had pointed out what it had found. Shiny rounded metal things with strong looking straps that secured it to the tree branch glinted in the dim light, easily obscured by foliage, and looking like it was going to be sloy eaten by the tree. It distressed her that part of the Beast's friend was hidden so well and out of her reach, for she knew that even with her pretty new magic, she couldn't get near it. She couldn't fly or climb or use strong magics or even call it down to return to its friend.

"Could...could you get it somehow, Aza?" Surely it would be a simple matter for the amazing flying friend of hers."I'm sure you could." She looked at the Aza with reverence and a small amount of awe. Anything was possible when the Aza could fly.
