The young dog was running down the tunnels of caves, following the scent of something mysterious. In the tunnel she just came out of, there was a group of gembounds surrounding a broken statue and there were parts of it that were missing. And I think I'm on the trail to find one of them . . Not sure why the pieces would be so far away from the source but Nova didn't think much of it. Only looking back behind her to see if her companions were following suit. Slowing to a walk, her nose would begin to work in over drive. It has to be somewhere. Would she find anything? --------- "Speech" Thoughts OOC: Sniffing for one of the pieces of statue.

One of the statue's missing pieces appears to be in this room... but where? Perhaps if Nova searches hard enough, she may find the scent trail leading her towards the Forum...

Ozias tried hard to keep up with Nova. She certainly was motivated... His legs burned as he ran behind, but he wasnt slowing down now. Finally, when they got to where ever it was that Nova was running to, he could catch his breath. Ozzy breathed heavily as his legs threatened to crumble beneath him.

"Do you smell something?" His head tilted as he noticed her sniffing around the ground. He began to sniff too, wondering if he could also pick up whatever she was smelling...

Soon the African wild pup would join her, turning to see if Thistle was anywhere be behind him. Did she follow? Unsure, but attention returned back to Ozias. "Yeah, the same musky scent of the broken statue . . . but trying to catch the trail again." Her nose would return to the ground, sniffing about, circling the other in her attempt before coming back around. Is has to be here . . . I just smelt it a moment ago. Glancing over to the other as he joined in her search. That made her smile, glad he was trying. Come to think of it, he did a good job keeping up with her too. "Get anything?" Nova's nose still to the cold floor. His help would be needed, since loosing the trail . . the dog was having a hard time picking it up again. Shit! Thistle hadn't arrived yet and Ozias smirked. Could she not keep up? Had they lost her? Silly prey animal. she replied, admitting to trying to find the trail again. Ozzy hadn't picked up on whatever she smelt before, but he has it now! Could he hold on to it? He sniffed around now that he had it and followed where ever his nose took him. Nova seemed to be doing the same, following her nose around and trying to find the scent. The scent trail seems to be strongest in the direction of The Forum... it appears to be coming from within the circular stage, but not necessarily its center. Perhaps entering the stage will give a better idea of the direction of the scent...

Now with the scent lost for her, she turned her attention over Ozias; he seemed to be onto something. "Hey, have an idea where the scent went?" Moving to sit next to him, trying to pick up the order near him. Maybe she just walked a little bit to far? The black dog watched him closely, before looking around the room. He sniffed around at the ground still, keeping a hold of the scent as Nova tried to distract him. Biting back a growl, he instead began to walk, following his nose while answering. "Yeah, it goes this way!" he called out, trying to hide the minute annoyed tone his voice held. Hopefully he would keep a good hold om the scent until they found a piece of the statue. Ozzy wanted to feel important at such a young age, so he hoped he was doing good. I mean, he could pick up the scent but his older friend couldn't. That meant something, right? Maybe her nose was just tired, no worries; but as soon as the young boy stated he had an idea where to go, Nova nodded. "Lead the way." The black dog would follow behind him, little nub tail at attention as the two of them would head towards the forum. His nose led him to the forum, but he didn't see anything yet. Nova followed him, letting him lead the way, but she really could've helped sniff it out. Ozzy didn't care though, because he'd gladly take all the credit for the discovery of whatever he was sniffing out. He kept quiet as he sniffed, following the scent somewhere, he just didn't know where yet. It had already led him to the forum, but not to the prize yet. He followed his nose still though, refusing to give up. He just hoped he didn't lose the trail first.
