If it had been possible, Nyx smile would've widened even more when she saw Majora smile. The tingly feeling in her stomach returned as she held the pup's gaze, before her eyes fell to the shimmering stone in Majora's right cheek.
The doe was aware of the stone between her shoulders now and thought she could feel a tingly sensation coming from it when she concentrated on it, but wasn't too sure due to the feeling being barely there.
It wasn't like the gem was a hindrance to the fawn, but Nyx was sad that she couldn't see it for herself. She tried imagining it, a round blue gem between her shoulders, glowing faintly. Majora said it was pretty and the doe blushed under her brown fur.
Majora was in a similar situation, they weren't able to see their gem either. Nyx searched for words to describe the tear-shaped stone under Majora's ebony eye.
"Looks like a tear." She whispered, looking at the pup as it comfortably snuggled into Nyx' side.
"Shimmers blue and white." The fawn leaned down and licked the fur of Majora's forehead, getting rid of the fluid still coating her. It had barely clung to Nyx after she'd gotten out of her chrysalis because of her short fur, but Majora's pelt was thicker and longer - and the doe decided to help.
With long and careful strokes of her tiny pink tongue, Nyx licked the fluid from Majora's dark pelt as the pup rested nestled in the fawn's warmth. It was calming and felt right, somehow, like an instinct coming forth from the depths of Nyx' mind.
"Majora and Nyx are friends, yes?" She asked, pausing in her licks to wait for an answer.
"Will you stay with Nyx?" Her smile was still present, but she was nervous about the answer. Maybe Majora would prefer to be on their own? The thought saddened Nyx, but she tried not to let it show.
