Thankfully, the lioness was ready to pull him out of this situation. Not too long after he asked Makyna for her desired item that he saw what she was seeing. Usui gasped and turned to gaze at Makyna. "Wow,” he whispered. "That telepathy’s a first for me.” His shocked features slowly widened into a boyish grin. It was really cool! He had seen the necklace which she wanted, and had memorized the shade of orange. Not to mention the bear which had saved him...he had more than a few good words to put in for that bear. "I can make it even better tha’ you imagined it, Makyna.” Immediately, he stood up and released his hold on Rhone. Then, he padded forward, gripped the metal chain gingerly between his teeth, and walked a distance away from Makyna, not wishing to accidentally hurt either lioness. He remembered the terrible accident that had happened with Quix. The raptors hadn’t lsot any time in following him then. The cub shuddered, then brushed the thought away. "Here goes, then,” he spoke.

The lion concentrated his magic in his paws. His black jade gem started to glow a ghastly black, and then he called forth tangerine garnets from the area. The ground rumbled, and rocks scrapped against the ground as pieces of orange garnets dislodged from their locations. A couple of pieces flew towards him - some lighter, some darker, some sparkling in the light. Usui wasn't done yet. He slowly broke away the desirable, strong orange-hued garnets into 10 small sized, roughly edged yet refined pieces - suitable for either gender. To lessen the toll on his magic, Usui then released the remaining gems which clattered onto the ground around him. He would probably keep those for a different time. Now, he positioned the orange gems such that they were able to fit and loops securely into the chinks of the rusty chain. For each piece, he caused the garnets to have two ends to hook onto the metal, then forced the minerals to coalesce and join each other and join to the metal. He weaved each piece skilfully, such that there were 10 medium sized pieces dotted in a lovely, non-asymmetrical pattern across the entire necklace. These pieces were skilfully placed where rust had ceased to exist.

Having done that, Usui sagged to the ground in a flop with limbs splayed out, this higher magic having taken a huge toll on him. The lion cub turned his head to grin at Makyna to tell her that he was alright, just that he needed some rest.

Having rested for a bit, Usui pushed himself to his paws and looked at the metal chain. It was rusted in some areas…which wouldn’t do for the bear. The lion looked at his handiwork with brows furrowed. He would need to scrap away that metal but he couldn’t metal bend so…he would need to rely on his fire power. "I’ll burn the rust away,” he spoke, though a sense of dread had filled him. Usui had not truly diversified into fire and so only knew one spell – and it hurt so badly, and had terrible consequences if he failed to do so. The cub remembered incinerating his insides which required Bevy’s assistance. If she had not been on scene, he would probably have been crippled or turned into a roasted treat of sorts.

The cub knew that range of his firepower and he did not want to melt the entire necklace. This would be a delicate procedure. Standing about 3 metres away from the necklace which she’d shifted away from Makyna and Rhone, the boy instructed Makyna. "My flame burns continuously, so I need you to turn the necklace and direct the rusty parts to the fire. Can you handle that? You need to be quick, my fire lasts for a short time only.” The boy then ignited himself internally and he knew it’d hurt, being an amateur fire caster, but that for all the hurt Leon had gone through to save himself and Makyna’s kindness, it was worth it. His gem glowed and he opened his mouth, a glorious stream of fire bursting out.

Wow, there must have been a lot of arcane spells that he didn't know. Perhaps she should help him out and show him a few. For now though they had work to do so when he said he could make it even better than she imagined the lioness couldn't help but grin almost ear to ear. "Really? Thank-you so much, Usui! I don't know how I'll ever repay you!" Really she didn't but somehow she'd make up Usui's kindness in some way.

The lion cub began his work with Makyna sitting up on her haunches so she could watch more closely. Usui gathered orange-colored gems towards him with his magic but shortly after flopped onto the ground. Makyna rose to her paws and took a step towards him, concerned. She stopped in her tracks when Usui grinned towards her. Ah, he was alright then... good. She nodded and sat back down, a smile back on her face.

She waited for a brief moment before the cub rose back to his paws and informed her what he could do. "Yes, I can handle that." Yes, her magic was perfect for indirectly touching and moving things. So, when the cub moved away she focused her attention on the necklace. She tapped into her magic and at first nothing happened but then after enough concentration she was able to pick up the necklace with her mind then move it to Usui's fire where she would rotate it just as he'd instructed.

The lion hadn’t specified to Makyna as to how she’d rotate the necklace. He had figured out she was an arcane user since the telepathy incident but he had no knowledge on other spells. As such, when she was able to rotate the necklace by bringing the rusty parts into contact with the flame while directing the necklace away from the flame when the gems came around, he was pleasantly surprised and very pleased that their work was proceeding so smoothly. Soon, the bits of rust were gone and the cub let his fire power stop. His insides burned with pain but for all the pain Leon had taken for him, it was worth it. Besides, didn’t Makyna deserve a happy ending with that beast? Usui hooked one claw to one corner of the metal chain and dragged it back to the lioness, making sure that none of their fur got burnt by the now heated chain. "I’m sure you’ll get the flowers covered,” he chuckled and looked at the handiwork with pride. The metal was no longer rusted and orange gems were encrusted in it. The cub plonked his butt onto the ground and with a groan, lay onto his side, grinning at her. "That took a lot of energy,” he chuckled. Two high-powered spells had drained him entirely now. "Tell Leon that I crafted it will you? He saved my life once. I want to thank him." He smiled at the lioness, waiting to her her reassurance. Leon was someone who had sauntered off before he had time to thank him properly.

Makyna was so happy when the lion brought the necklace over to her for inspection. It was perfect! Even better than she imagined! The lioness smiled at the cub, her eyes reflected the immense gratitude that she felt. After she was sure that it cooled enough she picked it up gently with her fangs and put it in her satchel for easier carrying. Afterwards she raised a paw and threw it over Usui's shoulders while she bumped her head against his neck. "Thank-you so much, you're the best, Usui! Leon will love this!" A rusty purr-like growl erupted from her throat from sheer joy as she embraced him.

Finally after a few moments she stepped back so she could look at him. "I'll be sure to tell him. In the meantime you should get some rest. I'll go see if I can find him..." She highly doubted she could but why shouldn't she go and see if she'd bump into him? Usui she was certain could watch Rhone while she was away.

With that the lioness dipped her head and with a final small disappeared to go on searching.

Usui grinned as he noted how positively delighted Makyna was with the necklace. She accepted it, then threw a paw over his shoulder and booped his head. Immediately the fur upon his nape rose and he exhaled sharply and did all he could to dig his hind legs into the ground to prevent him from backpaddling. Awkward awkward awkward. “My…my pleasure, Ma-Makyna,” he managed to stutter, and coughed a little in embarrassment as they disengaged. He lifted a paw and waved to her, then padded back to Rhone and sat beside her, to keep watch over the little lioness till everything was done.
