Timby sees that one of the 'lions' as he now knew they're called, fetched some leaves.
They look very delicious and you devour them all. The sheep was stuffed now! It tasted even better than the bug but he'd probably not want to admit that in front of the cub who gave you that gift.

Now as Timby is full he feels like the gem he noticed earlier in his forehead is getting stronger..
As if he can do magic. He stares at a pebble and commands it to move. It actually moves!

He imagines all of the things he can do with this newfound spell. It made him feel very powerful.
However, he reminds himself that it was only a pebble and makes sure not to let the power go to his head. Now, Timby wondered what else can he do in these caves.

The cubs and lamb hastily finished off their meal. Well, it seemed as if they all were quite hungry. Makyna felt a glow of pride that she was able to provide food for them and keep them happy. While they ate the lioness groomed her pelt, starting with her flanks and ending with her chest. She smoothed down all of the ruffled golden fur, minus the stuff at the back of her neck. The unruly scruff there refused to ever stay down.

After that she rolled onto her side and lay in the classic lazy lion fashion with her tail flicking behind her languidly. Her eyes watched the young ones, making sure that they were alright and fine. It was during this watching that she noticed a nearby pebble being moved. Her gaze flicked up to the lamb who seemed to be concentrating on it and a lazy smile came across her features.

She concentrated on the rock as well but nothing happened. Ah well, sometimes the magic worked and sometimes it didn't. "Arcane user, I see." The lioness said to him. "I know much about those powers... as well as some others. Some of the most magical things of life don't require magic at all." Some powers she knew about weren't powers at all but rather just naturally occurring things of life like the melodic call of birds, the rhythm sound of a waterfall, a babbling stream. All were things of life that didn't require magic.

Quix noticed the sheep eat the grass with more gusto and realized Makyna must have been right. She’d take notice of that in the future. For now, the girl tugged into the mouse, enjoying the texture of pelt and meat as she finished up the last morsel, and looked over to the other cub to see if she’d done the same. Makyna was grooming herself now, and the fennec was about to sidle over whnen she noticed the pebble move. Makyna gave an explanation, and Quix yipped in delight. “Yes yes, sheep learns how to use magic! Good sheep!” she called to the sheep with an approving tone, and without further ado, hopped onto Makyna’s recently neatly groomed hair and snuggled into her side, kneading at the fur and curling up comfortably.

Timby saw that everyone noticed him using his magic. The big lion said that he's an arcane user, that sounded neat! And the little lion seemed to notice him using magic to, she applauded him on it then cuddled with the big lion. He was very content now as he has gotten fed and learned how to use a spell. Now he went back to questioning the cave. He thought of what else might this beautiful place have to give.
While pondering he fell asleep. While Timby was in his slumber he dreamed about... rock people. They almost looked like the cave but they we're moving and living creatures. He felt very amazed by the creatures but he soon woke up. While he was awake he wanted to tell the lions about the strange dream he had but he also realised... He never told them his name! He felt embarrassed never telling them his name so he tried to speak once more. "I am Timby" he said feeling proud of his new found speech. Now he has felt that he has accomplished all of his goals he made when he popped out of his chrysilis. While he spoke he seemed to have something else to say. "Baaa!" This seemed really weird at first to him but he figured it was something natural for him.

Well, so much for her lovely grooming. The fox pup ran up to her and snuggled into the fur on her side, mussing it over. It was alright though, Ky thought it rather cute that the fox trusted her enough to snuggle into her short fur so she let her.

The lion watched as the young lamb nodded off to sleep, how cute. Well, she would let him sleep for as long as he wanted. The lioness lowered her head to her forepaws and half-lidded her eyes, content to rest for a moment. It was only after a few moments that the sheep awoke again and said his name. "It is lovely to officially meet you, young Timby." After that she lifted her head, focused her magic and said, "Baaa!" Repeating Timby's tone and sound exactly with Mimicry.

The little girl was belly full with food and imagined she was delusional as she heard Timby BAA and Mayna BAA in return. She pricked her ears towards Makyna and gazed at her groggily. "Makyna speaks sheep?” Her eyes widened then as revelation dawned on her. "Maky speaks fox?” she ventured and nuzzled into the lioness’ fur. "Speak fox!” she commanded in a child-like manner, then gave a series of barks. Just like a dog’s, but much more muffled and feral and squeaky. Then the girl laid her head down again and waited for Makyna to imitate her if she could.

Then, she shifted her gaze to Timby and looked dreamily into his white wool, the meat already taking her into a wonderful slumberland. "Nice sheep soft sheep little ball of fur. Cuddle and hug and purr purr purr.” Her little voice spoke in a rhyming rhythm as he eyed the sheep like something other than food. He would be…was, her new woolly ride!

Timby decided to sit back down and as he did he noticed Quix taking an interest in his wool once again. This glance was different though, almost as if she was planning to do something with his wool. He didn't know what predators were yet so he didn't think anything bad would happen.

Nevermind that, he wanted to do something else. He was quite energetic at the time so he wanted to do something. What? He had no idea. Maybe he should just rest for a little while longer, Maykana seemed like she wanted to rest anyway. So he tried to calm his energy.

The lioness grinned at the fox's enthusiasm and couldn't help but give a nod. "I can speak all sorts of things if I want." After listening to Quix give a series of barks the lioness paused for a moment then barked right back at her, perfectly mimicking the sounds with the aid of her magic. "Perhaps I can teach you the talent, one day." The lioness said with a chuckle.

Quix was then entranced with the sheep again and began to sing to him which had Makyna laughing all over again. "What a lovely little song." Almost like some sort of lullaby. Hmm, lullaby. Perhaps these young ones could use a lullaby. She could tell that young Quix was sleepy and what about the sheep? Had he not dozed off moments before? She thought for a moment then sang gently to both of the young creatures,
"
Are you sleeping, are you sleeping?
Brother Sheep, Brother Sheep?
Morning bells are singing, morning bells are singing,
Ding ding dong, ding ding dong.
"


She sang this to the sheep first then without missing a beat sang to Quix, rubbing her head gently with her muzzle in an attempt to entice her to sleep.

Quix was elated when Makyna had imitated her and now she was singing a lullaby, first to Timby. Her head bobbed with the gentle tunes, large ears moving left and right as she tilted her head along with the lioness’ voice. Then it was her turn. The words addressed her and he smiled, contented, cheeks puffing up into two little balls as she snuggled by Makyna’s side and relished in her comforting touch. The girl felt her lids become heavy and opened her mouth wide open to yawn! And then, contented, she licked Maknyna’s fur gently and fell into deep sleep.
